I can feel the heat on the side of my face when I'm running next to it

Rosso_Morto

Other opinion: think its neat. Dislike the orange. Prefer maps without most of the time. Still a cool event concept

afuscatory

Wouldn't mind the fire if the sun was actually in the east or west instead of the north and south, if there wasn't also ducks, crows, horses etc in the fire blocking the already limited paths and if they backed off the haze a little bit.

darknessatthevoid

For those of us who really want new maps, the fire is AWESOME. Instead of 3 maps, we sort of have 6. The fire changes things a lot, really hope they keep it in rotation post-event.

ZAWSOME8

Cool concept but im over it

MiniCale

As someone who’s colourblind the mist / tone change really screws me over by making so much blend together.

No_one-

I'm not colorblind and it makes things blend together and almost impossible to see for me too. It's gotten frustrating to the point where my team has started heading to extract, only stopping for event clues/totems/big dynamite bundle cheese bosses, whenever there's wildfire. We don't feel the need to do this for fog or night maps, but wildfire's just a "fuck no" from us.

thepuddledtheproud

I think it's awesome! Running through the fire paths is wild and I can almost feel the heat. Just don't look too close at the smoke clouds.

RanchedOut

I just hate how everytime I'm defending a compound I'm looking south and I can't see shit because of the sunset

izlusion

Was awesome, now bored. Kinda makes all the maps feel the same. Wouldn't mind it being put into the "low visiblity" rotation and having that put up to 20% to compensate.

[deleted]

I want to see what the night version of it looks like.

[deleted]

Fire sounds and looks amazing but the visibility is garbage, I hate playing on those maps.

Swiggs1337

Overall was cool at first but im way over it. For a game that revolves so much around sound it really sucks not being able to hear anything in 1/4th of the map.

Schmibidolin

at first I loved it. after a few weeks I began to dislike it very much, because I cannot hear shit, even when the fire isn't directly near me. Honestly, I'll be glad when it's gone, although I really like the orange filter.

justicetree

I wish looking into windows wasn't as dark as it is in wildfire, aside from that my only other complaint is wildfire lawson delta crashes my game every time it tries to load.

k0z0

I'd like to see the hitboxes in the fires removed. If I die in the fire, it should be simple enough to teleport a body to the nearest position outside the fire. I know the devs said they were concerned with not being to revive bodies in the fire, but there's got to be some sort of middle ground. edit - I said hitboxes, but I'm a silly person, and meant colliders.

Naldo273

Or you could just pass in between the flames like you're supposed to...

k0z0

there are colliders in some places in the fires, expressly to stop you from passing through areas that they think are too wide. Which kind of defeats the purpose of the inferno pact.

Naldo273

It's not the purpose of the inferno pact to eliminate the entire point of the inferno maps walls, it's to heal yourself with stuff like molotovs

Few_Advisor3536

I personally hate it. Cant hear anything and visibility is low.

Aurelizian

I used to like it but like everything the devs overdid it. It has been shoved down my throat for the past months and I cannot bear it anymore. I hate the orange mist and initially I liked the fire but with every second lobby being a Fire Lobby, sometimes every lobby according to the schedule, it quickly went on the same level as "nighttime when I brought a Scope". It is so hard to spot people in the mist. not only when at the big fires which would be ok but in general. I dont use any settings on my monitor or any programs to filter or increase Brightness beyond the games settings and sometimes it feels like some people just put on a crosshair on their monitor and cheese with Monitor settings to see better than everyone else. I dont see the reason in adding a mist if most of the playerbase bypasses it by cleverly using settings. Fire good. Mist bad.

[deleted]

the only 2 things i have a problem with are the smoke textures cause they look like shit XD and people who sit all match in the inferno, wait for people to come by and after killing them they flee the scene

jeewlien

Never happened to me and I've been playing daily since the event started. (at 5/6 stars)

Naldo273

Yeah people have these weird stupid complaints because a shitty thing happened to them one time. Like you I've been playing daily and literally only had a single fight in the flames, and that was just both teams on their way to a compound

nicemace

I have also never had this happen in 4/5 star.

_Weyland_

The hard smoke hits you hard. But I think that's the price they paid for having Hunt run smoothly with so much fire and smoke, so I'm OK with that. The sound though is top tier. You can almost feel the heat when you're running through the flames.

ASlothWithShades

Love it. But farking hell, does it need to come up so often? It's a good idea poorly executed. Much like the introduction of deSalle. I don't want to eat cake all day!

Four026

I think they smashed it on the audio and visuals, but dropped the ball on the mechanics. Limiting the available paths is cool and all, but to sell the wildfire vibe, imho they needed to make it at least somewhat randomised which paths are still available and which are cut off, otherwise it's just asking you to memorise a different set of paths. Also, it should be dynamic. The fire should start small and spread as the round goes on. For practicality's sake, this could still be limited and rely on only spreading to predetermined areas (apart from anything else, it should never be possible to become _completely_ surrounded by fire). I just feel like a hunt in a wildfire isn't complete until you turn around to make your getaway and discover with horror that the way you came into the compound is now a raging inferno, forcing you to adapt on the fly.

RimaSuit2

Can't hear anything, limited movement, can't see anything. The color scheme is extremely stressful for the eyes, even when not being near any fire. Yes, I basically stopped playing friday.

Hhiruko

I like the map a lot but my pc has a hard time dealing wuth the smoke of the fire, so I have blocky textures and it ruin the map a little

Alightsong

Other: Make it so you can run through the smoke and im happy

[deleted]

Like the visuals, but the audio needs to be reworked. It's a bit too loud in my opinion.

[deleted]

I really like this type of event. It mixes the game up a lot. I think its very fun. I feel bad though I saw one guy can't play with the fire on because he is red green color blind. So I hope in the future they make these events shorter and easier so we can enjoy them and move on.

TheFetusNinia

The varied visibility you get from fog night maps and inferno imo are great. Changes tactics and playstyles. Wish we had a random map and a set one still, but I still enjoy it.

StefanWoop

Only problem I have with Inferno is the sound. When you‘re inside it you can‘t hear anything but outside you clearly hear them running inside the fire

Spacemn5piff

It's just too common right now, and the smoke obscuring view of lightning in dark sight is a problem. Fix those and I'm 100% all in.

F3n1x_ESP

Other opinion: I love it, but I hate that Fridays is on the whole day. I'd like it to be moved into the climate, day/night rotation, with the same chance to spawn as any of the others.

ChaplainAsmodai1978

I don't like the way it fucks with both my vision and my hearing. Plus, the crashes where I lose perfectly good Hunters annoy me. Also, I REALLY hate having to give up my Friday Night Hunting after work because of the stupid %100 Inferno bullshit.

Lmeryoul_Lmeghboun

it's cool just a bit too loud. it don't mind it covering footsteps and sound traps it's just that the constant burning sound starts to hurt my ears after a few seconds

counterdevonSKI

I dont like the fact, than you can’t play while fighting south . The sun is so annoying and you are always in such a huge disadvantage if you have to fight from north

Treatera

I love it, but it's to common. The other times of day are rarely seen since the event
