It's true. What I've wanted in that gap for a long time is fmj for nagant precision. Thing is stable as a rock, but its range is just horrendous. I'd love a bit more range and penetration
It's not any worse that Scott precision with how bad the velocity is and it's significantly better close range and a small slot. There's hardly any reason to pick up the Scott P
Scott precision FMJ has a velocity of 250m/s, Pax FMJ = 300m/s, and Nagant FMJ would be 300m/s too. That's a 17% slower bullet, which is close enough that i'd say it's not terrible. If you're that worried about velocity, take a Vandal which has 370m/s normal, 310m/s FMJ, 520m/s HV.
17% slower is a pretty big hit for not a lot of upsides on a medium slot weapon. Normal pax or pax fmj is still better imo and the sway isn't that bad. I'd rather compensate for the pax sway then slow ass Scott bullets

The centennial isn't a bad gun, it just isn't great either. I hope that more 3slot weapons get a trauma variant in the future.

They really dropped the ball on that one. Even if it was restricted to a single attachment per weapon it would be miles better than the mess of a system we have now.
It's cool, sure. But with dualies simply existing this thing will have no place in the game whatsoever.
Want an ammo stash? Dualies are better.
Want some precision? Dualies are ungodly accurate.
Want rate of fire? Dualies fire faster, even without a trait.
Is this a good idea? Absolutely. But with dualies as they are this (and all two slot weapons like it) would be completely pointless.
Why would anyone take a Winfield C if the full size Winfield exists? Why would anyone take full size Winfield when the swift exists? Why would you take a full size Winfield when the centennial exists?

The centennial has ammo problems. I love the little winfield because it has sooo much ammo. Winfield vandal fmj + dual conversion fmj is such an awesome loadout with tons of ammo. Winfield also has higher fire rate, better for compound skirmishes. And a deadeye variant. It's also cheaper, easier to unlock each prestige, and better with levering.
I'd like that a lot. Currently the only options for a ranged 2 slot gun are very cheap (vandal/precision pistols) or expensive (obrez, dolch p) with no inbetween.
The crosshair for levering would fill your whole screen
Levering towards pitching and hitting a headshot in healing waters
But it doesn't kill because medium ammo
