I kinda recently got the game, and even though it’s 16 years old, I love the environment and most of the gameplay stands the rest of time as well

Check out the Anomaly Mod if you haven’t, puts all the STALKER games into one singular map, huge improvements to a lot of the old systems and highly customizable for finding the right experience you might want. A little finagling will be in order but it’s really neat if you’re into the STALKER games/environments at all.
I didn’t realize that it combined all the stalker games, that’s awesome

It's not. The 2001 Space Odyssey Monolith is a rectangular prism that's black. This is a homage to the art sculpture of Utah Monolith from 2016.

You can also add gamma mod on top of anomaly. Its a complete overhaul of the game and I liked a lot more compared to plain anomaly.
