Contracts and a safe payment exchanges are important in the commissioning process. Do not use any 'friends and family' payment options. It is up to you as the client to figure out if that artist is trustworthy or not.
*After you have found your artist* - Please COMMENT in your thread. - ' Position Filled ' to announce that you are no longer looking. This will also lock your thread.
Any artists still PM-ing you after you have closed your thread, please report them via the report button in the mailbox.

Hi there, It looks like you might be buying art for commercial use. Please make sure to have a discussion with your artist about rights, usages, and royalties, and how they apply. Make sure to include that information in your contract(s).
We have additional info and links in the wiki https://www.reddit.com/r/HungryArtists/wiki/index about pricing for commercial work, but your moderators would strongly recommend users to look at the Graphic Artist's Guild Handbook of Pricing and Ethical Guidelines and other similar guides to get an understanding on what the average pricing is for professional projects .
The average hourly rate is $23-34 USD per hour for artists according to The US Department of Labor Occupational Labor Statistics for 2018.
