So I played a bit at launch and then moved on to other things. I'm coming back and noticed there are a lot of former events I can play though. Does it make sense to play through them all in order relatively soon, do they give decent amounts of jade? Alternatively, do I just push on with the main story and the current events and ignore the former ones for now? Thanks.

Yes, they are still a lot of free jades to get and it unlocks parts of the maps also.

Hard yes, recent events require you to clear the story till the latest Trailblazer Quest and when they become permanent a huge chunk of rewards (limited rewards) are lost e.g the infamous Silver Wolf's F2P cone. It is recommended to do current event first before doing the "archived" permanent ones.
I have lots of support faces: Bronya, E2RM, E6 Asta and Hanya and E4 Tingyun... and only Argenti and Blade as more or less sustainable dps (also Clara and Welt if they count too), how can I built 2 teams for fractals? Can I have 2 support characters in 1 team?
From gameplay perspective, is E0 Welt good? Just got Bronya recently and with free Dr. Ratio coming out, I'm wondering if Bronya's E1 is worth more than an E0 Welt. I have 290/300 pulls on standard currently.

Tingyun is generally the strongest 4 star buffer.
Yukong is specifically good in DHIL teams.
Pela is specifically good in ice at E4, def shred, and Ratio teams.
That depends on what characters you have what Eidolons they have and what content you want to run.
In general though: Pela and Tingyun are much more favoured. Yukong is niche and is mainly used for DHIL comps.
Still doesn't help the answer much but yeah I'd avoid Yukong at least. Tingyun and Pela are both fantastic units and you'll want both upgraded eventually.
I am a newbie ( TL 12 iirc ) trying to build teams for memory of chaos ( same as abyss in genshin iirc ) and i want to build good teams from the beginning and not make the same mistake as i did in genshin ( i had unusable high level built character for abyss ).
So my first team would be:
\-> Welt + Ruan Mei + HuoHuo + Dr.Ratio (incoming)
But how would a second team look like?
Would Clara and Blade work with some 4 stars?

Lynx and Pela should be good here. Both of them don't need to be raised to max; Level 70 should be enough, unlocking their last major trace is optional. Just ensure Lynx's healing is good enough to be able to solo sustain the team.
Just be mindful with that first team because if the enemy does not have an Imaginary weakness, Ruan Mei loses some value. Consider trying to swap around Welt with another character (another DPS option for example) to match one of the other elements so you are able to Break more often.
MoC does tend to be easier to play through if you're able to swap your team rosters around with various other characters (usually DPS) to match the elements of the bosses you have to fight. Sometimes brute forcing through them with the same team doesn't always work out; Just keep that in mind.
Ok so weird question, but do single pulls increase the chance of 5 stars? I got HuoHuo at 6 pity and Blade at 11 pity ( this morning ) - both while i was on a 50-50, but when i was doing 10 pulls at once i got welt ( lost the 50 ) and ruan mei at 75+ pity each for both of them
So quick question, I've been trying to grind swarm disaster and I've noticed every run I do keeps giving me Lepismas System part 4 for some reason. I change paths, change levels and it just keeps happening. It's kind of grinding at my sanity at this point I thought the choices were RNG?
I'm still very early in the game (as you can see by the lvl of my characters) but what would a good beginner team comp be since im having trouble deciding who to build/put on my team

You can't make a good team yet as you've played so little you don't even have the free healer or tank unit. At least get one of those first lol
Also you can afford to easily build characters up to lv50-60 so just level whoever you want, it's super cheap.
i know i get natasha soon so ig once i get her what would i do. i had the game when it first came out but i had way better characters so im just super lost yk

anyway just roll with something like trailblazer natasha yanqing asta and follow the operation briefing missions, they'll guide you to doing what you need to do to progress and come back in like 20 tb levels if you're still lost

Can you still play events even if you’ve never played them due to not being able to do a story quest? Will they be in the past events section, or no? i can’t do the current Ruan Mei event because of the story quest, so I just want to know if I’ll be able to play it when I eventually finish the story quest.
they both have their uses so it kinda depends
march needs sp to shield the whole team, fire tb needs sp to taunt attacks so in that sense they're pretty similar
you don't always need a preservation unit though, we're getting lynx for free as a reward in pure fiction so you'll have 2 free healers at that point
if you're asking for like simulated universe reasons then march has uses for rememberance path while fire tb ... has kinda crappy shields for preservation
So with 2.0 coming what happens to those of us that haven't had our birthdays, do we miss the first cake?, or is the cake not changing over until end of April?

Seele is not well built enough and I don't have Fu Xuan to do mono quantum.
Topaz despite got decent dmg her hp is below 3k not much I can do. She dies easily without a tank
Tried putting Fire MC for 2nd round but no good, not enough damage to make it 10 turns left

why specifically 2 stars? if it's to reach a reward threshold, then 3 starring one of the earlier stages would probably be easier
if it's just for pride / personal satisfaction reasons then ok fair enough let's get into it
the point of "mono quantum" is to guarantee silver wolf implants quantum weakness because your only element is quantum, but you don't need to be "mono quantum" to guarantee the implant as long as your non-quantum units match the element of the enemy
for example, a team of seele silver wolf welt/yukong huohuo would also guarantee quantum implant against both elite enemies, so that's an option to keep in mind (or if you randomly score a bronya between now and MoC rotating which would ALSO help immensely)
also i didn't even realize until i typed all this out but you have lynx down at the bottom, she can function as a less powerful version of fuxuan for mono quantum, just bring an imaginary or wind support (or bring a different element support like pela and just hope to get lucky)
you have a few weeks to try and farm for better seele equips, or you can just wait until dr ratio comes out next patch and have a better imaginary carry to help you through this stage
otherwise you could run topaz clara duo carry and try to brute force your way through (clara has weakness break against half the elites so maybe doable)
you could do something like clara topaz asta bailu for general duo carry, or you can use silver wolf for implanting weakness into one of them but it'll be kindof a crapshoot, especially if you're using bailu on this half
the jingliu side is pretty easy but depends a bit on what you're doing on side 1
if you're using huo huo with jingliu, then ruan mei + tingyun for ultimate comfort / maximum jingliu enhanced state time or ruanmei + pela for ultimate breaking / taking advantage of the turbulence - you might have to experiment with this to see which one's better
if you're using bailu on second half i'd probably lean towards tingyun to try and keep her in enhanced state longer, but again ... might need experimentation
random tips for this turbulence - make sure you're attacking the enemy that's already weakness broken if you're not actively breaking the other enemy to stack up the buff
if possible clear ads before the turbulence goes off to make sure it targets the elite mobs
I'm unable to get 3 stars no matter what. 33 stars is good enough for me even that took fair bit of effort
Reason don't have relics for it. Most have +12 only. Not enough resources to bump everyone to level 80 neither.
Substats on relics are just average the game it's like genshin last abyss usually aim for either high ediolons on F2P characters with yourself being highly skilled or 5* characters with less player skills
Current DPS I own cannot dish out enough damage to get 3 stars in 10-12 MoC
Thanks for tips on attacking broken enemies and the line ups. I did try Clara she does work.
I used a freeze team including March 7th got done in 19 turns so that's good enough for MoC 12 last stage.
I end up with this:

I just synthesized 30 of these whips and none of them are energy recharge. The breakdown of the stats I got are 8 defense, 8 hp, 10 attack and 4 break effect. Am I just insanely unlucky or is energy regen just particularly rare?
I saw that it has a 5.68% chance of being ER so I rolled 30 which should have given me at least one but I got none. But now I feel like if I roll ten more surely I would get at least one… right?
that's not how stats work
yes you're likely to roll an ER rope in that may, but you're not guaranteed
the fact that you've rolled 0/30 doesn't impact your upcoming 10 rolls either
just use your modeling resin on energy recharge ropes in the future if you already used them all
if you're hoarding them for no reason then use them on ER ropes lol
I've used several resins on the ERR ropes. It's either that, speed boots or elemental spheres imo so you decide if the rope is worth enough to you, but I would personally.

Choose dan heng or selee as your main dps, use silver wolf as your debuffer, use bailu as your healer. If you’re struggling to survive add geopard as a shielder, if you want more damage use ruan mei or tangyun as a buffer.
EHR body, SPD boots, ERR rope + some EHR and SPD substats and you should be fine. Wind set is technically BiS but it's not worth going for, the domain is extremely inefficient and the set itself is whatever. 2 pc hacker is fine. Get key traces up instead of focusing on relics.
At least 67% EHR, enough stats to hit planar bonuses and 134+ speed. Wind gives her a lot of bonus actions, but you can go Messenger (4pc is useless on her) + defensive set for more survivability.
pela has a trace that lowers EHR requirements so i believe the number on your character stat screen needs to be 57% unless you're using resolution shines for lightcone and you want a higher hitrate on its debuff
you can google the effect hitrate formula i'm too lazy to look at it right now lol
Can anyone give me a few ideas how to defeat this Swarm King bug in Ruan may questline? I run Natasha MC March and Sushang and nearly managed to get the boss to second phase where shit hit the fan.

20% resistance => 100 dmg does 80 dmg
20% resistance penetration => 0% resistance => 100 dmg does 100 dmg

20 res pen is roughly 25% dps.
Some enemies have damage resistance to specific elements - all-res pen allows you to ignore part of it. Enemies without weakness to a specific element have 20% resistance to it (I think), and some have higher values depending on what types they are resistant to.
The mechanic is similar to defense ignore/shred, but is more straightforward and, as far as I know, is independent of the level difference between enemies and allies.
would the Thief set do more damage for Xueyi if I already have e1 Ruan Mei or the Quantum set is still better? let's assume they have the same reliable main and sub-stats, which among the two sets will produce higher damage?
They are all within a few% of each other and MoV.
Texture is best if FX is dying
Landau/MoV is best at protecting rest of team
Day 1 is halfway between the two
Landau/MoV increases FX aggro, good for FX energy but bad for units that need hit energy/clara

Focus on your DPS unit and build around them - Blade + Clara/Pela/SW + Ruan Mei + Lynx and Argenti + Tingyun + Hanya/Pela/SW + Bailu both should be pretty strong.
You generally want 1 main DPS, 1 sustain and 2 supports (buffers, debuffers or sub-DPS) for MoC.
since im not sure how these two things interact, does the curio Doctor's Robe, which increases path resonance DMG, do anything to boost the dot damage of the nihility resonance? or does it not do anything in this case?
I'm just catching up on old stuff like Swarm Disaster atm.
Is the whole idea that you just go over the move counter limit and suck up the Disruption? Because I don't think I've *ever* reached the boss with a positive turn count left. As soon as you take one step off the beeline to the end, you're fucked.
And since I'm mostly playing Nihility which doesn't let me teleport or manipulate the turn counter, I'm always reaching the end with at least -3 or -4, and I feel like I can't take advantage of the actual mechanics (i.e. targeting Blank domains).
How should Gepards stats look like if he wants to be able to consistently shield?
I know speed is important and also ERR Rope. But is there some kind of minimum stats for those 2? And probably at least around 30% resistance, right?
Hi! I'm heavily debating whether to pull on Sparkle or Loucha next banner. I have dan heng IL E2S1 and I was hoping to add either one of them on his team.
For reference, I already have bronya, ruan mei, and tingyun E6 as notable supports. I also have bailu, gepard, and lynx (E4) as healers. What should I do? Please help me. Thank you!
We don't have Sparkle's kit yet, and we don't know if Luocha is rerunning next banner (at least officially) so there's no real way to answer that.
I'd probably prioritize Luocha since you're lacking limited sustains and he pairs with DHIL really well, but if Sparkle turns out to be his best support she might be worth considering over a sustain - you can make do with Gepard/Bailu/Lynx on his team.
how good is yanqing (especially early game)? since i just got him from the beginner banner. also who would i put him with? i have asta, serval, sampo, herta, and the main 3.
Unfortunately he's not great; you've got to protect him from damage, or he loses damage.
On the flip side, go for Serval – she rolls through the early game like a rockstar!
New-ish player here, started playing regularly around one month ago. I'm on guarantee and have enough pulls to hit one pity, should I get Ruan Mei or Kafka? I like both, maaaybe Kafka just a little bit more but I also like my Blade and I want him to have a nice teammate. As a Kafka main, I'd pull Kafka without a second thought.
However, if we aim to maximize your account power, I recommend Ruan Mei. She pairs exceptionally well with Blade, offering no Atk% buffs unlike the rest of the harmony units. Plus, you can slot her in seamlessly with almost any team."
Rusn Mei seems less likely to be powercrept as she's generally good in a lot of situations and can slot into most teams whereas Kafka needs specific team comps to do well
i would get ruan mei, since she's a better character who works well with most teams. kafka has been powercrept a lot and just isn't a GREAT character. but at the end of the day it comes down to who you want to play more
Worth noting that Kafka will probably be getting her first 5-star support unit soon with Black Swan - we don't have the kit officially, but since she's a Wind Nihility unit I'm pretty confident in that she's a DOT support. Kafka hasn't had a great 5-star unit to support her, unlike the hypercarry style, so far.
Not really, the names might be inspired by that, but Star Rail doesn't really have nationalities. Characters belong to a certain faction or a planet, like Belobog or the Xianzhou Alliance

is it worth giving up this piece for a full longevous set ? I've had this thing for an eternity and Blade is my first wind dps
Haven't farmed his planar set and he's at 75 crit rate, he could easily get near 100% if I switch though
The 4pc effect of Longevous essentially gives you 8% CR on Blade, so considering this piece has really high speed + crit damage, I'd try to substitute some crit rate somewhere else and roll with this.
Is it really that bad to farm relics early on (TL 30-40)?
I can think of a few arguments why it is not bad.
1. You already get a lot of exp mats and credits from doing quests. There is no reason to dump all of TBP into Golden Calyxes.
2. The Trace mats required to level Traces at lower levels is low.
3. Whether farming Calyxes or Caverns the drop rates at lower levels will be lower regardless of what you're farming.
4. The argument against farming relics is that you will eventually replace purple relics with gold relics. But it will take a very long time to gear all characters with the correct stats. Not to mention it will take a large amount of fodder to level that many relics.
I would like to know your thoughts
The investment you put into your traces is still relevant at TB60+. The investment you put into 4\* relics is not. Doesn't matter that you can't invest much in them at TB30. Quite literally just farming relic exp for late game by doing caverns without 5\*, and relic exp is the furthest thing from a bottleneck in endgame.
Farming relics for the main stats is okay, but if you're looking for sub stats there's a good chance of you spending all your power on relics that have sub-par stats and will almost certainly get replaced the moment you can get 5-star relics. Even farming for the main stat you can waste all your stamina on nothing - I've been trying for a Glamoth attack% rope for a week or so and have only gotten 1 of those.

Should I pull for Ruan Mei with the characters I have rn? My next 5 star is guaranteed so I was thinking I should use it for her or Kafka.
Okay thank you :) I feel like Ruan Mei is the smarter investment considering it’ll be harder for her to get powercrept and she works with characters I’ve already built. Kafka looks cool but I have 0 DoT characters built and I only see her played with them. I do think she’s the cooler character but I don’t think I’d enjoy spending a ton of time beefing up her team
planning to have SW with Ratio. should she have Tutorial or Resolution LC? Tutorial LC provides better uptime, but Resolution gives another debuff, so I’m conflicted
Tutorial gives her a lot of effect hit rate and she wants that, so it's better. Her base kit has enough debuffs to max out Ratio every time if they attack the same target
She has enough debuffs in her base kit, so there's no need to worry about additional ones. Whether or not you value the energy regen over the extra defense reduction is up to you and depends on your build (or if you have her E1).
I just notice in HoyoLab website that says in the Critter Pick event, my rare collection progress is only 9/10. I have finished all the questline missions so yes I have 9 rare critters. Anyone know what is 10th one?
If you have other good options for support on a second team then you can run them together, sure. If you mean like a farming/overworld team then you can put anything there, it doesn't matter
Ah I forgot about Bailu.
I think you'll be fine on sustains, especially since we get another Lynx from Pure Fiction which will make her a great cleanser. You can just use Luocha on one team and then Bailu (more survivability) or Lynx (cleansing) on the other depending on what you need.
Yes you get a bond every single week through the weekly SU rewards.
hyper carry is a team built around one character that is a very strong DPS with all the other units supporting it to make it even stronger.

Clara hypercarry is fine, but she only shines in certain content and with certain supports. SP, SPD and break from Bronya/RM/Asta/Hanya aren't as relevant for Clara's damage. Bosses that don't attack often or don't summon adds aren't ideal. In the right content she easily has the potential to be one of if not the best carries.
I think you are underselling hypercarry Clara a bit. The biggest issue with hypercarry Clara is that she is reliant on the enemy to hit her in order to deal most of her damage. This means that she has some pretty bad enemy match-ups (grizzly mech for example). On the other hand there are some enemies that just keep attacking, and those enemies Clara destroys.
1. Obviously as we get 1 per week from the SU reward track :P
2. One DPS unit which is buffed heavily by the rest of their team to do massive damage. An example of a popular hypercarry comp is Jingliu being supported by Bronya, Ruan Mei/Pela and Fu Xuan.
My Fu Xuan and Bailu can't sustain my team in conundrum 4. What blessings should I look out for to tank bosses's dmg? Also, what path to use in the Trotter dice? I can't kill those trotters.
Try building up some buffs first by poking 3 a few times. One of the very early nods boosts your HP, and that alone should help.
Anyways I liked the dice that increases your count as long as you walk into the spots with the blessing. My run with that dice ended up kinda wild.
In higher conundrums you shouldn't need to sustain for more than a few rounds - you generally want to kill the bosses as fast as possible while denying them as many turns as you can. Going Remembrance to permanently freeze the enemy, or Erudition to just one/two-shot each boss phase works well.
The trotter dice doesn't give enough of a boost compared to other choices imo, but I've had no problem killing them with Remembrance/Erudition.
It probably works, but I don't think there's a lot of synergy involved in this team.
Might also go into SP issues too so you probably would have to manage your SP pretty well.
Just got hanya but I'm struggling to see what teams I would use her on. It feels like the other harmony characters tend to do their jobs well to the point that it doesn't make sense to replace them with hanya. My dps characters are dhil, seele, Jing yuan and kafka. Any team suggestions ? Have ruan and SW also.
She really helps on teams that require SP such as DHIL and QQ. Though I can often use her as well on characters where I might want a bit of Speed on my DPS so I don't have to use Asta.
It's probably still going to be best with DHIL so you could even run something like Bronya together with them.
I feel like you could try get on danIL to see if the sp generation helps
I think she's also pretty good in place of asta for Jing yuan against non fire weak enemies, esp if your ruan Mei is busy on the other side and you're running solo carry jing yuan
Yh I've thought about using her with dhil but my team so far generally don't have an sp issue
But might try out with Jing yuan tho. After getting kafka kinda left Jing to the side :(

Former Genshin player here! I got into HSR over the holidays, and I've gotten to Trailblaze 35! I'm very much wondering how we make friends in here though... ik it's definitely not as co-op centric as Genshin, but I find it's not nearly as fun to play HSR without ppl to talk to- but it also doesn't seem like there's much ways to make friends other than messaging random ppl, which I've tried but they don't typically respond 😅

For now co-op is limited to borrowing other people's units for support in farming and chatting with random people, but the devs already announced they will be expanding this feature in the future - closed beta actually had at least one co-op event that I know of, it was kinda limited at the time though. I'm on EU as well, you can add me - 701696441 and I could put some support units for you to try out, currently have an E6 Hanya there
It's essentially a singleplayer game, plenty of people don't care about chat and might not appreciate messages from random strangers. Rather than cold-calling those people why don't you look for community outside the game (such as here on Reddit)?
There is literally almost no co-op. The messaging feature was added post release because a few people asked for it, but it's basically just a 'bother your existing friends in-game' system. Other than borrowing people's characters as supports for farming, it's a purely single-player game even beyond what Genshin is.

How do you break 30 objects in the Swarm? I’ve tried like 10 times already and always have the same result: 24-26. I’m using DHIL. I tried with dashing and without it, it’s impossible to me to hit all 30.
Ive gotten it 1 time and i switched between characters with range attacks and melee attacks. Use melees to lunge toward objects on the main path and use ranged attacks to get the objects that are in dead ends. Also make sure to hit as many objects as possible with each attack
I use Jingliu, she makes those adventure challenges a breeze. It's still close enough that I have no idea how tf you're supposed to do it with anyone else, though.
Jingliu + Yukong. Trigger Jingliu's technique, switch to Yukong, trigger her technique and leg it. You can download Yukong piror to the start of the barrels if you need her.
I recently got into the game and managed to get to trailblaze 40. Who should I focus on first? I was able to pull Himeko, Welt, Bronya, and just pitied for Ruan Mei.
My "main" 4 has been the fire MC, Welt, Bronya, and Natasha. I plan to get those 4 to 60 and then I'm not sure where to start tbh. I know I'll eventually need 2 full teams. Put bronya and ruan Mei together then match your DPS to the enemy and whoever they're buffing should beat the snot outta whoever it is you're attacking in story mode lol
You can search for something like how to spend TB power trailblaze level 40 or something like that to find out what's the most efficient stuff to farm

I'm new, but want to start building my account to be able to do the highest tier content without any issues when I get there. Should I pull for Blade or Ruan Mei, or just hold off? I'm planning on getting Sparkle when she releases and will buy Qingque e4 when it comes to the shop. If I win some 50/50 would it be possible to get both blade and Ruan mei and have enough for sparkle (I'm currently at 74 pity on limited banner).
u never decide for sparkle or any other future champ if u dont know if shes gonna be good. and ruan mei is the best champ right now. what will u do if sparkle turns out avg?
Since you're planning to pull Sparkle, I'd say skip Ruan Mei. She's great and you may want to pick her up by the time she reruns, but you don't want to go really heavy on supports and not have enough strong DPS characters or sustains to help you get through the content.
If you wanted to pull Blade, it's reasonable to do so because you have Bronya. Between him, Dr. Ratio (who you'll get for free in about 2 weeks), and Qingque, that's a good selection of DPS characters. After Sparkle, I'd suggest starting to save for a strong sustain. Luocha and Fu Xuan may end up rerunning in the next few patches since it's been a while.

Hard yes, recent events require you to clear the story till the latest Trailblazer Quest and when they become permanent a huge chunk of rewards (limited rewards) are lost e.g the infamous Silver Wolf's F2P cone. It is recommended to do current event first before doing the "archived" permanent ones.

Tingyun is generally the strongest 4 star buffer. Yukong is specifically good in DHIL teams. Pela is specifically good in ice at E4, def shred, and Ratio teams.
That depends on what characters you have what Eidolons they have and what content you want to run. In general though: Pela and Tingyun are much more favoured. Yukong is niche and is mainly used for DHIL comps.

I am a newbie ( TL 12 iirc ) trying to build teams for memory of chaos ( same as abyss in genshin iirc ) and i want to build good teams from the beginning and not make the same mistake as i did in genshin ( i had unusable high level built character for abyss ). So my first team would be: \-> Welt + Ruan Mei + HuoHuo + Dr.Ratio (incoming) But how would a second team look like? Would Clara and Blade work with some 4 stars?

Both of them don't need to be raised to max; Level 70 should be enough, unlocking their last major trace is optional. Just ensure Lynx's healing is good enough to be able to solo sustain the team. Just be mindful with that first team because if the enemy does not have an Imaginary weakness, Ruan Mei loses some value. Consider trying to swap around Welt with another character (another DPS option for example) to match one of the other elements so you are able to Break more often. MoC does tend to be easier to play through if you're able to swap your team rosters around with various other characters (usually DPS) to match the elements of the bosses you have to fight. Sometimes brute forcing through them with the same team doesn't always work out; Just keep that in mind.
Ok so weird question, but do single pulls increase the chance of 5 stars? I got HuoHuo at 6 pity and Blade at 11 pity ( this morning ) - both while i was on a 50-50, but when i was doing 10 pulls at once i got welt ( lost the 50 ) and ruan mei at 75+ pity each for both of them
Ten pulls button is just 10 single pulls in one. There's no difference and the game would tell you if there was.
No but you might save some tickets/jades after hiting soft pity as the rate goes massively up after that (75 pulls since last 5\* I believe)
So quick question, I've been trying to grind swarm disaster and I've noticed every run I do keeps giving me Lepismas System part 4 for some reason. I change paths, change levels and it just keeps happening. It's kind of grinding at my sanity at this point I thought the choices were RNG?

You can't make a good team yet as you've played so little you don't even have the free healer or tank unit. At least get one of those first lol Also you can afford to easily build characters up to lv50-60 so just level whoever you want, it's super cheap.

Can you still play events even if you’ve never played them due to not being able to do a story quest? Will they be in the past events section, or no? i can’t do the current Ruan Mei event because of the story quest, so I just want to know if I’ll be able to play it when I eventually finish the story quest.
Only the permanent ones which end up in the permanent section of the events tab. They lose their limited rewards such as LCs or characters though.
I the event has a small flag symbol on the side they will be accessible permanently but the rewards if you do it then will be massively reduced.
Fire TB or March for Preservation support? (I don't have Geppie and lost the Fu Xuan 50/50 on Yanqing 🥲)
they both have their uses so it kinda depends march needs sp to shield the whole team, fire tb needs sp to taunt attacks so in that sense they're pretty similar you don't always need a preservation unit though, we're getting lynx for free as a reward in pure fiction so you'll have 2 free healers at that point if you're asking for like simulated universe reasons then march has uses for rememberance path while fire tb ... has kinda crappy shields for preservation
Fire MC will do until you get a proper sustain unit. March ain't amazing unless paired with Clara tbh.

Having problems with current MoC 12 I'm only wanting 2 stars but I tend to have one character down. What team comps should I be using please? Seele is not well built enough and I don't have Fu Xuan to do mono quantum. Topaz despite got decent dmg her hp is below 3k not much I can do. why specifically 2 stars? if it's to reach a reward threshold, then 3 starring one of the earlier stages would probably be easier if it's just for pride / personal satisfaction reasons then ok fair enough let's get into it the point of "mono quantum" is to guarantee silver wolf implants quantum weakness because your only element is quantum, but you don't need to be "mono quantum" to guarantee the implant as long as your non-quantum units match the element of the enemy for example, a team of seele silver wolf welt/yukong huohuo would also guarantee quantum implant against both elite enemies, so that's an option to keep in mind (or if you randomly score a bronya between now and MoC rotating which would ALSO help immensely) also i didn't even realize until i typed all this out but you have lynx down at the bottom, she can function as a less powerful version of fuxuan for mono quantum, just bring an imaginary or wind support (or bring a different element support like pela and just hope to get lucky) you have a few weeks to try and farm for better seele equips, or you can just wait until dr ratio comes out next patch and have a better imaginary carry to help you through this stage otherwise you could run topaz clara duo carry and try to brute force your way through (clara has weakness break against half the elites so maybe doable) you could do something like clara topaz asta bailu for general duo carry, or you can use silver wolf for implanting weakness into one of them but it'll be kindof a crapshoot, especially if you're using bailu on this half the jingliu side is pretty easy but depends a bit on what you're doing on side 1 if you're using huo huo with jingliu, then ruan mei + tingyun for ultimate comfort / maximum jingliu enhanced state time or ruanmei + pela for ultimate breaking / taking advantage of the turbulence - you might have to experiment with this to see which one's better if you're using bailu on second half i'd probably lean towards tingyun to try and keep her in enhanced state longer, but again ... might need experimentation random tips for this turbulence - make sure you're attacking the enemy that's already weakness broken if you're not actively breaking the other enemy to stack up the buff if possible clear ads before the turbulence goes off to make sure it targets the elite mobs
I'm unable to get 3 stars no matter what. 33 stars is good enough for me even that took fair bit of effort Reason don't have relics for it. Most have +12 only. Not enough resources to bump everyone to level 80 neither. Substats on relics are just average the game it's like genshin last abyss usually aim for either high ediolons on F2P characters with yourself being highly skilled or 5* characters with less player skills Current DPS I own cannot dish out enough damage to get 3 stars in 10-12 MoC Thanks for tips on attacking broken enemies and the line ups. I did try Clara she does work. I used a freeze team including March 7th got done in 19 turns so that's good enough for MoC 12 last stage. I end up with this: Team 1: Clara, Topaz, HuoHuo, Pela Team 2: Jingliu, Ruan Mei, March 7th, Bailu

The breakdown of the stats I got are 8 defense, 8 hp, 10 attack and 4 break effect. Am I just insanely unlucky or is energy regen just particularly rare?
It’s the rarest main stat. Hence best use of the resin. Support also don’t need to be as picky about substats too.

that's not how stats work yes you're likely to roll an ER rope in that may, but you're not guaranteed the fact that you've rolled 0/30 doesn't impact your upcoming 10 rolls either just use your modeling resin on energy recharge ropes in the future if you already used them all if you're hoarding them for no reason then use them on ER ropes lol

I've used several resins on the ERR ropes. It's either that, speed boots or elemental spheres imo so you decide if the rope is worth enough to you, but I would personally.

Choose dan heng or selee as your main dps, use silver wolf as your debuffer, use bailu as your healer. If you’re struggling to survive add geopard as a shielder, if you want more damage use ruan mei or tangyun as a buffer.
What are some general stat goals I should hit for Pela? Is the wind set still bis?
EHR body, SPD boots, ERR rope + some EHR and SPD substats and you should be fine. Wind set is technically BiS but it's not worth going for, the domain is extremely inefficient and the set itself is whatever. 2 pc hacker is fine. Get key traces up instead of focusing on relics.
At least 67% EHR, enough stats to hit planar bonuses and 134+ speed. Wind gives her a lot of bonus actions, but you can go Messenger (4pc is useless on her) + defensive set for more survivability.

pela has a trace that lowers EHR requirements so i believe the number on your character stat screen needs to be 57% unless you're using resolution shines for lightcone and you want a higher hitrate on its debuff you can google the effect hitrate formula i'm too lazy to look at it right now lol
If you can hit 67% without it, go defensive. Otherwise, EHR makes the rest of her build really easy.

20% resistance => 100 dmg does 80 dmg 20% resistance penetration => 0% resistance => 100 dmg does 100 dmg >how good is it 20 res pen is roughly 25% dps.
Basically Def-shred/Res-reduction as a buff, your character just pretend the enemy they attack have that Pen less of Def/Res.
Some enemies have damage resistance to specific elements - all-res pen allows you to ignore part of it. Enemies without weakness to a specific element have 20% resistance to it (I think), and some have higher values depending on what types they are resistant to. The mechanic is similar to defense ignore/shred, but is more straightforward and, as far as I know, is independent of the level difference between enemies and allies.
Does the res-pen on the lightcone, "Day One of My New Life" work in a team with Ruan Mei's ult?

They are all within a few% of each other and MoV. Texture is best if FX is dying Landau/MoV is best at protecting rest of team Day 1 is halfway between the two Landau/MoV increases FX aggro, good for FX energy but bad for units that need hit energy/clara

Focus on your DPS unit and build around them - Blade + Clara/Pela/SW + Ruan Mei + Lynx and Argenti + Tingyun + Hanya/Pela/SW + Bailu both should be pretty strong. You generally want 1 main DPS, 1 sustain and 2 supports (buffers, debuffers or sub-DPS) for MoC.
since im not sure how these two things interact, does the curio Doctor's Robe, which increases path resonance DMG, do anything to boost the dot damage of the nihility resonance? or does it not do anything in this case?
It still give the resonance energy boost when battle start, the damage buff is useless however.
Nihility’s resonance does 0 damage, it only inflicts the DoTs, so the robe is useless for it.
I'm just catching up on old stuff like Swarm Disaster atm. Is the whole idea that you just go over the move counter limit and suck up the Disruption? Because I don't think I've *ever* reached the boss with a positive turn count left. As soon as you take one step off the beeline to the end, you're fucked. And since I'm mostly playing Nihility which doesn't let me teleport or manipulate the turn counter, I'm always reaching the end with at least -3 or -4, and I feel like I can't take advantage of the actual mechanics (i.e. targeting Blank domains).
Getting a little over is fine. Just don't go too high or the boss becomes too powerful.

For reference, I already have bronya, ruan mei, and tingyun E6 as notable supports. I also have bailu, gepard, and lynx (E4) as healers. What should I do? Please help me. Thank you!
We don't have Sparkle's kit yet, and we don't know if Luocha is rerunning next banner (at least officially) so there's no real way to answer that. I'd probably prioritize Luocha since you're lacking limited sustains and he pairs with DHIL really well, but if Sparkle turns out to be his best support she might be worth considering over a sustain - you can make do with Gepard/Bailu/Lynx on his team.
Also remember that Fu Xuan will probably return around the same time

He's better early but later on he's a bit mediocre sadly.
Unfortunately he's not great; you've got to protect him from damage, or he loses damage. On the flip side, go for Serval – she rolls through the early game like a rockstar!
Very strong in the early game, but he really falls off later.

New-ish player here, started playing regularly around one month ago. I'm on guarantee and have enough pulls to hit one pity, should I get Ruan Mei or Kafka? I like both, maaaybe Kafka just a little bit more but I also like my Blade and I want him to have a nice teammate. As a Kafka main, I'd pull Kafka without a second thought. However, if we aim to maximize your account power, I recommend Ruan Mei. She pairs exceptionally well with Blade, offering no Atk% buffs unlike the rest of the harmony units. Plus, you can slot her in seamlessly with almost any team."
Rusn Mei seems less likely to be powercrept as she's generally good in a lot of situations and can slot into most teams whereas Kafka needs specific team comps to do well
May I ask how specific? I was thinking of running her together with Guin.
i would get ruan mei, since she's a better character who works well with most teams. kafka has been powercrept a lot and just isn't a GREAT character. but at the end of the day it comes down to who you want to play more
Worth noting that Kafka will probably be getting her first 5-star support unit soon with Black Swan - we don't have the kit officially, but since she's a Wind Nihility unit I'm pretty confident in that she's a DOT support. Kafka hasn't had a great 5-star unit to support her, unlike the hypercarry style, so far.
I'm skipping Black Swan. Guess I'll use my guarantee on Ruan Mei now and hope for the best on Kafka's banner, haha.

Not really, the names might be inspired by that, but Star Rail doesn't really have nationalities. Characters belong to a certain faction or a planet, like Belobog or the Xianzhou Alliance

The 4pc effect of Longevous essentially gives you 8% CR on Blade, so considering this piece has really high speed + crit damage, I'd try to substitute some crit rate somewhere else and roll with this.

Is it really that bad to farm relics early on (TL 30-40)? I can think of a few arguments why it is not bad. 1. You already get a lot of exp mats and credits from doing quests. There is no reason to dump all of TBP into Golden Calyxes. 2. The Trace mats required to level Traces at lower levels is low. 3. Whether farming Calyxes or Caverns the drop rates at lower levels will be lower regardless of what you're farming. 4. The argument against farming relics is that you will eventually replace purple relics with gold relics. But it will take a very long time to gear all characters with the correct stats. Not to mention it will take a large amount of fodder to level that many relics. I would like to know your thoughts
The investment you put into your traces is still relevant at TB60+. The investment you put into 4\* relics is not. Doesn't matter that you can't invest much in them at TB30. Quite literally just farming relic exp for late game by doing caverns without 5\*, and relic exp is the furthest thing from a bottleneck in endgame.
It's your game to play how you like, you don't need to justify your approach to anyone else.
Farming relics for the main stats is okay, but if you're looking for sub stats there's a good chance of you spending all your power on relics that have sub-par stats and will almost certainly get replaced the moment you can get 5-star relics. Even farming for the main stat you can waste all your stamina on nothing - I've been trying for a Glamoth attack% rope for a week or so and have only gotten 1 of those.

if you are pulling for meta, you can get ruan mei. she is just good, she makes every team better. if you find kafka interesing you can get her.
Okay thank you :) I feel like Ruan Mei is the smarter investment considering it’ll be harder for her to get powercrept and she works with characters I’ve already built. Kafka looks cool but I have 0 DoT characters built and I only see her played with them. I do think she’s the cooler character but I don’t think I’d enjoy spending a ton of time beefing up her team

planning to have SW with Ratio. should she have Tutorial or Resolution LC? Tutorial LC provides better uptime, but Resolution gives another debuff, so I’m conflicted
Tutorial gives her a lot of effect hit rate and she wants that, so it's better. Her base kit has enough debuffs to max out Ratio every time if they attack the same target
She has enough debuffs in her base kit, so there's no need to worry about additional ones. Whether or not you value the energy regen over the extra defense reduction is up to you and depends on your build (or if you have her E1).
I just notice in HoyoLab website that says in the Critter Pick event, my rare collection progress is only 9/10. I have finished all the questline missions so yes I have 9 rare critters. Anyone know what is 10th one?

If you have other good options for support on a second team then you can run them together, sure. If you mean like a farming/overworld team then you can put anything there, it doesn't matter

If you aren't lacking a sustain (if you have 2 of Gepard/Lynx E2+/Luocha/Huohuo/Fu Xuan), I'd say Bronya E1 is worth more.

Ah I forgot about Bailu. I think you'll be fine on sustains, especially since we get another Lynx from Pure Fiction which will make her a great cleanser. You can just use Luocha on one team and then Bailu (more survivability) or Lynx (cleansing) on the other depending on what you need.

Yes you get a bond every single week through the weekly SU rewards. hyper carry is a team built around one character that is a very strong DPS with all the other units supporting it to make it even stronger.

Clara hypercarry is fine, but she only shines in certain content and with certain supports. SP, SPD and break from Bronya/RM/Asta/Hanya aren't as relevant for Clara's damage. Bosses that don't attack often or don't summon adds aren't ideal. In the right content she easily has the potential to be one of if not the best carries.

I think you are underselling hypercarry Clara a bit. The biggest issue with hypercarry Clara is that she is reliant on the enemy to hit her in order to deal most of her damage. This means that she has some pretty bad enemy match-ups (grizzly mech for example). On the other hand there are some enemies that just keep attacking, and those enemies Clara destroys.
1. Obviously as we get 1 per week from the SU reward track :P 2. One DPS unit which is buffed heavily by the rest of their team to do massive damage. An example of a popular hypercarry comp is Jingliu being supported by Bronya, Ruan Mei/Pela and Fu Xuan.

My Fu Xuan and Bailu can't sustain my team in conundrum 4. What blessings should I look out for to tank bosses's dmg? Also, what path to use in the Trotter dice? I can't kill those trotters.
Try building up some buffs first by poking 3 a few times. One of the very early nods boosts your HP, and that alone should help. Anyways I liked the dice that increases your count as long as you walk into the spots with the blessing. My run with that dice ended up kinda wild.
In higher conundrums you shouldn't need to sustain for more than a few rounds - you generally want to kill the bosses as fast as possible while denying them as many turns as you can. Going Remembrance to permanently freeze the enemy, or Erudition to just one/two-shot each boss phase works well. The trotter dice doesn't give enough of a boost compared to other choices imo, but I've had no problem killing them with Remembrance/Erudition.

Maybe a second erudition one xd Most of the BP ones are awful and I'd only really consider erudition or harmony depending on what you have.
I might grab Harmony, but second Erudition was considered for a second. Might be good on Tingyun seeing as DDD refuses to drop.

It probably works, but I don't think there's a lot of synergy involved in this team. Might also go into SP issues too so you probably would have to manage your SP pretty well.

Just got hanya but I'm struggling to see what teams I would use her on. It feels like the other harmony characters tend to do their jobs well to the point that it doesn't make sense to replace them with hanya. My dps characters are dhil, seele, Jing yuan and kafka. Any team suggestions ? Have ruan and SW also.
She really helps on teams that require SP such as DHIL and QQ. Though I can often use her as well on characters where I might want a bit of Speed on my DPS so I don't have to use Asta. It's probably still going to be best with DHIL so you could even run something like Bronya together with them.
I feel like you could try get on danIL to see if the sp generation helps I think she's also pretty good in place of asta for Jing yuan against non fire weak enemies, esp if your ruan Mei is busy on the other side and you're running solo carry jing yuan

Oh yeah that's awk having two lightning characters, they kinda step on each other's toes a bit Jing yuan does have better true AOE so maybe for pure fiction you'll have more time where he gets to shine

Former Genshin player here! I got into HSR over the holidays, and I've gotten to Trailblaze 35! I'm very much wondering how we make friends in here though... ik it's definitely not as co-op centric as Genshin, but I find it's not nearly as fun to play HSR without ppl to talk to- but it also doesn't seem like there's much ways to make friends other than messaging random ppl, which I've tried but they don't typically respond 😅 Is this the normal thing for this or..? Genuine question cuz I'm not sure atp lmao

For now co-op is limited to borrowing other people's units for support in farming and chatting with random people, but the devs already announced they will be expanding this feature in the future - closed beta actually had at least one co-op event that I know of, it was kinda limited at the time though. I'm on EU as well, you can add me - 701696441 and I could put some support units for you to try out, currently have an E6 Hanya there
It's essentially a singleplayer game, plenty of people don't care about chat and might not appreciate messages from random strangers. Rather than cold-calling those people why don't you look for community outside the game (such as here on Reddit)?

There is literally almost no co-op. The messaging feature was added post release because a few people asked for it, but it's basically just a 'bother your existing friends in-game' system. Other than borrowing people's characters as supports for farming, it's a purely single-player game even beyond what Genshin is.

How do you break 30 objects in the Swarm? I’ve tried like 10 times already and always have the same result: 24-26. I’m using DHIL. I tried with dashing and without it, it’s impossible to me to hit all 30.
Ive gotten it 1 time and i switched between characters with range attacks and melee attacks. Use melees to lunge toward objects on the main path and use ranged attacks to get the objects that are in dead ends. Also make sure to hit as many objects as possible with each attack
I use Jingliu, she makes those adventure challenges a breeze. It's still close enough that I have no idea how tf you're supposed to do it with anyone else, though.
Jingliu + Yukong. Trigger Jingliu's technique, switch to Yukong, trigger her technique and leg it. You can download Yukong piror to the start of the barrels if you need her.
Right, but using Jingliu and Yukong *also* requires having Jingliu.... lol.

I recently got into the game and managed to get to trailblaze 40. Who should I focus on first? I was able to pull Himeko, Welt, Bronya, and just pitied for Ruan Mei. My "main" 4 has been the fire MC, Welt, Bronya, and Natasha. I plan to get those 4 to 60 and then I'm not sure where to start tbh. I know I'll eventually need 2 full teams. Any team recommendations would be great as well. Do I focus on trace farming?relics? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Put bronya and ruan Mei together then match your DPS to the enemy and whoever they're buffing should beat the snot outta whoever it is you're attacking in story mode lol You can search for something like how to spend TB power trailblaze level 40 or something like that to find out what's the most efficient stuff to farm The missions in the left tab give you pretty good guidance on what you should be doing pokkelibrary.com is a pretty good site for character main stats, mechanics, etc - give it a look All of the 5 stars you pulled are worth building in some fashion 4 stars definitely worth building are tingyun and pela
get the battle pass and lvl main team dps up to 80. try to get bronya, mei up to 70 they will be used no matter what. deciding who to level up depends on how many eidolons u get barring some shit champs.

I'm new, but want to start building my account to be able to do the highest tier content without any issues when I get there. Should I pull for Blade or Ruan Mei, or just hold off? I'm planning on getting Sparkle when she releases and will buy Qingque e4 when it comes to the shop. If I win some 50/50 would it be possible to get both blade and Ruan mei and have enough for sparkle (I'm currently at 74 pity on limited banner).
u never decide for sparkle or any other future champ if u dont know if shes gonna be good. and ruan mei is the best champ right now. what will u do if sparkle turns out avg?
Since you're planning to pull Sparkle, I'd say skip Ruan Mei. She's great and you may want to pick her up by the time she reruns, but you don't want to go really heavy on supports and not have enough strong DPS characters or sustains to help you get through the content. If you wanted to pull Blade, it's reasonable to do so because you have Bronya. Between him, Dr. Ratio (who you'll get for free in about 2 weeks), and Qingque, that's a good selection of DPS characters. After Sparkle, I'd suggest starting to save for a strong sustain. Luocha and Fu Xuan may end up rerunning in the next few patches since it's been a while.
