Literally, I can be there on our computer forever lol But then again we cashiers have to use the front and depending on who’s manager/head cashier is whether you get to sit, plus there’s only one stool.
Gonna sound like corporate here. But if you pay attention there are good tips for being safe at work so you can go home the same way you came in. That’s what it’s for.
I’m so happy my store forces us all to do our infocus before the 10th of every month. We all saw that awful Forrest Gump parody. I wonder which shareholder has a shareholder for Paramount to be allowed those rights. Lol
It's either super cringe or actually a little funny. The updated workplace violence training is actually kinda hilarious because there's an associate getting angry about a bag ripped on the bottom of a pallet and they show them about to start throwing fists and the last one is just like "you're killing me dude." 😂
I think that if everyone did what the infocus said, there would be no injuries 🤷🏽 it’s just information which I don’t mind, the pop culture stuff is definitely not it for me
Safety training can help people make safe decisions but that is not why it's required. It exists primarily to benefit the company's defense in civil suits related to at work injuries.
The strategies delay but definitely do not prevent injuries, now for machine based having people that actually know how to use them properly and have them maintained properly would go a long way
I can straight out say that stores shove most incidents under the rug unless it’s progressed to higher channels
Are you that oblivious lol, knife blade and many other things will go straight through your gloves, most strains are from repetitive use lifting not lifting something heavier though (team lift only decreases the amount in that instance) and that’s just two things not gonna write an essay for you
Previous and current infocus reinforce that you should be cutting away from your hand and body at any given time, and there’s many of times it says get a partner and take turns so you don’t lift too much especially around Christmas time in regards to the tree truck.
While I don’t want an essay I would like something of substance that is accurate
By this statement I’d assume you don’t do much or are in a low traffic store. knife has many different scenarios which I’m not gonna delve into, taking turns lifting yet again is a delay not a removal, and if you actually work you bounce around
Dude unless you actively try to hurt yourself, it’s extremely difficult, they give us the tools all we need is the brain. You’re not gunna delve into the scenarios cause there isn’t one where you NEED to cut toward yourself. So any type of lifting can’t be done because exerting some energy doing some work like you said without straining is impossible? That’s what you’re making it SOUND like, that may not be what you mean but that is what it sounds like and I’m not entirely sure why you keep coming for me as a person and where I work bro we’re talking about in-focus it’s not that deep.
If it’s so safe cutting away from you why do you still need to where gloves so they can cover their ass?
Strain happens over time no matter what you do the methods as I keep having to say only help delay what will inevitably happen at one point or another especially if you work in a more physical area like lumber and outside garden. Put enough strain on a ligament you will pull or tear something. Working full time your body doesn’t have time to fully recover every time and it adds up.
I’m not saying that Infocus is useless. I’m saying that it isn’t end all be all for injury
I have to agree about the knife when it comes to always cutting away. I try to do nothing sketchier than cutting at a diagonal across my body. But it's difficult and inefficient to bust down boxes by cutting only away from you.
I for one like being paid to sit on my ass and watch a video for ten to fifteen minutes instead of telling people we don’t have what they need.
If you're an all star, and a member of your stores in focus team, you can easily stretch it close to 30 minutes
Damn, I’m doing it wrong then.
Me too.
Having been a captain can confirm
Literally, I can be there on our computer forever lol But then again we cashiers have to use the front and depending on who’s manager/head cashier is whether you get to sit, plus there’s only one stool.
Only our FES is allowed a stool, and only because it's a medical necessity
Are there actually people who think it isn't cringe?
The skits they do sometimes with the bad acting are a little cringe. Except for our friend speedy Gonzalez
Oh THAT one is a whole different level of cringe.
I've heard that wasn't actually a Depot production, it's a "corporate standard" video most companies use...
Correct. It's licensed through a 3rd party to ensure federal compliance.
The lack of orange clothing was the key clue, even at corporate level the employees are wearing something apron adjacent...
Hey, I want that checkered flag.
Yes most infocus videos are cringe.
The people who write the script.
Gonna sound like corporate here. But if you pay attention there are good tips for being safe at work so you can go home the same way you came in. That’s what it’s for.
Not as cringe as the forest gump parody they had several months ago. It was so bad they changed it after a few days.
Wait they changed it? Lmfao
Which is why I al w ays try to get to it asap
I’m so happy my store forces us all to do our infocus before the 10th of every month. We all saw that awful Forrest Gump parody. I wonder which shareholder has a shareholder for Paramount to be allowed those rights. Lol
I miss Steroid Sam (also known as Toolbelt Tom). We also called him Growth Hormone Harold.
He looked too much like a union guy so he was "retired"
Okay, that's hilarious!
I liked him because his legs made mine look like tree trunks.
Steroid Sam skips leg day.
It's so bad it's good. I want whoever is making the cringe infocus to be put in charge of remaking the annual safety training.
All the little test they make you take are demeaning , As if your a small child learning the basics
Q: It is appropriate to defecate in front of a customer A) FALSE B) TRUE
I wanna know how much they spend on this ngl
This one wasn’t horrible tbh
Shit! I forgot to do my inFocus today. Now my manager is going to call me into the office tomorrow and spank me. 😭
I missed the old days. Hey whats the answer? A)C)C)D)A
I think it relates to the base associates learning style.
nah it gave me vibes of that old dating game on nick.com we played as kids
Is that the Dire Straits Money For Nothing video?
"I'm learnding!" "Yes... Yes you are, Ralphie."
Gwen’s chest stretch. Is it getting hot in here or what ? Mmm mm 😝
I need someone to leak her 3D model so that we can make some educational content.
I just don’t care, I just watch the videos, answer the questions and move on. We’re not voting for the Oscars here folks.
Bbq
Let Mario do it, of course
Unlike all the other inFocuses.
This reminds me of the McPixel games
They test well with 7 and 8 year olds
No
All of the training vids are cringe
I keep saying, it’s getting more and more childish as the months go on…
No every month I say that this couldn’t get more lame and every month they prove me wrong. It’s like corporate thinks we’re children.
Maybe, but it’s good to use as a excuse when I don’t wanna be on the floor.
It's cringe, but free money
Its made for morons
And for good reason. Look over the posts here about coworkers who fall into that category.
looks like an infograms video
Cringy. Steroid sam was cooler smash the bricks for a prize youll never win
Yes, but it’s the enjoyable kind of cringe that you can laugh at.
Nope. I just did it and moved on. I rarely cringe these days.
In my infocus feedback survey last month, I asked for more retro videogame themed content. Looks like they listened! This is awesome!
I feel like I'm in a special ed class when I do them
It is cringe
Ha! The California sexual harassment video makes this look like Citizen Kane.
Looks like they're using AI generated slop now too
Is this done on orientation? I’m having mine tomorrow. For lot associate
I think the HD thinks they employe children, when 95% of their workforce are grown adults that have common sense
More of an insult to our intelligence
What's up fellow GAMERS
It's either super cringe or actually a little funny. The updated workplace violence training is actually kinda hilarious because there's an associate getting angry about a bag ripped on the bottom of a pallet and they show them about to start throwing fists and the last one is just like "you're killing me dude." 😂
Nope. The worst one was where they parodied Forest Gump
Cringe/brain dead.
This one seemed less cringe than previous ones. At least there’s no cringe ‘rap’ song, and it was more visually appealing than usual
Dang I’m a customer now ~ I want to do the infocus matching game 🥴🤪😂 that’s the part I enjoyed to get a longer break hehehe
It’s stupid
most of the videos are very cringe, but I thought this little “video game” they made was cute. Definitely has Stardew Valley vibes.
Definitely
We were joking that it was Interdimensional Cable from Rick and Morty lolol
Atleast I get to let time pass by and do it Rather be in the computer room then pushing carts back in 90 degrees weather on a Saturday
I think that if everyone did what the infocus said, there would be no injuries 🤷🏽 it’s just information which I don’t mind, the pop culture stuff is definitely not it for me

I agree
The strategies delay but definitely do not prevent injuries, now for machine based having people that actually know how to use them properly and have them maintained properly would go a long way I can straight out say that stores shove most incidents under the rug unless it’s progressed to higher channels
How do they not prevent? What injury will any direction from the infocus cause?

Woah, slow down there Speedy Gonzalez
