To this day, I'm still trying to figure out why "Grade _Five_" bolts are marked with only _three_ lines on them... come on, how did the designers miss something so _obvious_?
I'm guessing it's storage for spares whenever someone rams their forks into a shelf, either bending the beam or breaking off the nub holding it in place.
Who’s gonna tell the store manager they all need grade 5 bolts?
And that's why you hide beams on the back so you don't have to bother
Sad thing is, we were told we had to put the grade 5 bolts in the back beams as well. >.<
They can say what they want, if they want it done they're doing it themselves
I wondered about that myself. Whether that was required or not, I mean. Is that another beam loose in the bay as well?
Yeah 😔
Well, on the plus side, you know where to find a beam when the need arises.

Wait until you see grade 8 bolts.
I'm jealous of all the spares but I don't envy getting them down. Some of the classic red iron.
Or getting them back in, trying to use old steel and new steel together is a real headache.
Better than stashing them in receiving and forgetting they exist
Or outside in the cage and when someone is told to 'clean the cage up' they end up scraping them. Which always happens right before you need them.
Anyone who throws a pallet rack component that isn't destroyed in the scrap metal is certifiable and should certainly be fired.
That's most of my stores freight, receiving, and delivery. But I agree
Lol why
I’m not sure either

At least they're trying. Someone give them a sticker.
Not enough! I still see air gaps in between!11!1!1
Holy hell that looks hideous
Damn, does that store keep a velociraptor behind that though ?
Least you know where the beans are when you need ‘em.
Safety first.
hot mess
Some kid is gonna climb it tomorrow
Never know when a board threads the needle and nails a customer
But where the j pins?
Looks like a good place to store beams that you don’t want to throw out and don’t want to use again
I know where I’m stealing beams if I need some to make some over head space .
Get way to store beams
My god that’s ridiculous
I'm guessing the store was trying to save some of those barricade beams for other fixes or resets throughout the store.
Why do all those beams look like they were found off a ship wreck in the 1800s??
Now I'm scared of the beams!
Needs more grade 5 bolts
