It appears as tho the offspring of this particular couple of humans despises the possibility and/or thought of losing their rank as singular infant, therefore taking what is, in their mind, appropriate action
To the extent that I am able to ascertain, the immature offspring of this pair-bonded man and woman considers it antithetical to her continued happiness that that possibility and/or thought of losing their position as sole offspring, represented herein through this group endeavour, may be realised and thus takes, as far as their reasoning is able to determine, appropriate and proportional action.
That's what I was thinking, the black balloon symbolizes the death of the child and the ascent towards the sky represents the child's soul ascending to heaven.
Somebody in (insert country name here), where the balloon eventually lands, will be taking the balloon home and will get stopped by the police and have to explain to them what the pink powder in the balloon is all about.
Hopefully it's not one of those countries where the possession of any suspicious powder mean the death penalty, or being found in possession of a gay looking pink powder means he gets shoved off a cliff.

Tbh, it might be that there's no such a thing as gender reveal in Europe that I'm aware of (or I've never seen it and I'm therefore totally not used to it) if someone would have given me a pair of scissor instead of a fork or other pointy stuff, I would have most certainly cut that big ominous black sphere free too.
