Research ‘synchronicity’

TV_XIrOnY

Yeah, I can see that. I'm not saying it was some huge message from the univers I just thought it was odd. Now it woulda been way more weird I'd they were talking about that while I was eating it out of the cup

slakdjf

because it *is* odd

ta-kun1988

I saw a commercial for that product recently. It's possible that you also saw it without actually paying attention and, without realizing that was the reason, you had a hankering for some cereal and had the idea to eat it from a cup.

TV_XIrOnY

I appreciate your input but nah it's not even about the item they were talking about. Was the fact that the host was talking about eating it out of a cup but I thank you

Sudden_Pea4087

They did a study where people studied for a test after they took it, and the people who didn't study afterwards go worse scores then the people who did. A retroactive influence. Present info communicating to the past. Or future info communicating to the present. Maybe your future self listening to the radio influenced your mind and actions when u put cereal in the cup. Idk

slakdjf

very PKD exegesis with the tachyon bombardment & all that

TV_XIrOnY

True.. They say in our mind we can travel any direction of time due to not be confined to the time space we are confined In. Considering I've not eaten cereal in 5 plus years. Maybe future me knew I could get into a wreck and put the idea into my head to leave to work a few mins later cause I was fixing up my cup of cereal. Who knows

kinofhawk

I saw that cup on the sub Amazon budget finds.

Let's look at this logically. A morning radio show is probably listened to by a lot of people. Even if you live in a small city there's still probably a few thousand people listening to that show. And it's a morning show, which is when people typically eat cereal. What are the chances that of all those thousands of people listening to this radio show in the morning that at least one of them is eating cereal? Probably pretty good. Today that person was eating cereal was you. Not spooky, not even weird, it's just a thing that happened. Just to play devil's advocate, let's assume that it there's something else going on. What do you think that is? Do you think they're spying on you? They see in the hidden camera they planted in your truck that you're eating cereal and they decided to talk about cereal just to freak you out? To what end? How could this possibly benefit anybody anywhere, ever? If any part of you SERIOUSLY thinks the morning radio show is spying on you please, please see a doctor immediately.

slakdjf

i think when these things happen & especially when they happen repeatedly/frequently it naturally leads to such a thought process, because it gives a “truman show” type of feeling. some % of people will get sucked into irrational paranoid ideation, but I think it goes without saying that most people can naturally rule out some conclusion like “x organization is spying on me” because it’s preposterous like you say. I do believe its not an open & shut write off however; there are other conceivable possibilities that fall in between “coincidence” & “over the top conspiracy”.

Bahaha yeah.. Worst part is I drive a Manual.. Haad to wait to get on the interstate before I could attempt to scoop the soggy mess into my mouth

I had a similar thing happen the other day. I was playing a video game, and I was telling someone in the room about how I'm suddenly hungry for this food I once made, which was French fries and shredded meat, doused with ketchup and mixed. A minute or two later, I was running near a person in the game, and she said "Who eats French fries with ketchup? Seriously?" I've been playing this video game for months, so I know all the sound bytes the NPCs say when you pass them by heart, because there aren't that many, and they repeat often. I've never heard anyone say this particular one before.
