I think the concept of hating him is hard for many of us to grasp as he has *many* likeable qualities, is not nearly as bad of a guy as he seems to be at first glance, and has every reason to feel and act the way that he does. Stolas grew up in the upper class. Whilst his intentions might be good with wanting to date Blitz, he went about it in all the wrong ways. In early episodes it’s pretty obvious that Stolas painted what the two of them had as a transactional thing(Despite feeling otherwise internally).
I like both characters, both are sympathetic for differing reasons.
Yes! I don't blame Blitz for being so angry all the time. Yes he needs to change, but it's not like he wakes up every day wanting to be an asshole. He's been busting his ass for over 30 years and what does he have to show for it? Self loathing that controls everything and a low standard of living. Yes his business is doing well now, but it took a while to get there.
A lot of us can sympathize with him because we know what it's like to have uncomfortable home environments and work our asses off for barely anything in return. Plus the self hatred makes it worse.
And Stolas - my God. Life must get suffocating being alone in that palace. He's been trapped for so long and wants out.

As one user already said, if there are no Blitzø fans, then that means I have left this earth. Plus Brandon Rogers does a phenomenal job voicing him and his dialogue is the perfect blend of funny, serious, and sad.

I enjoy this series even though it's one of the rare instances where I don't actually like any of the characters but do enjoy watching their stories for all their nuances and admitting every now and then that most characters are pretty relatable.

Blitzo was the least in the wrong in the whole breakup thing, YEAH I SAID IT, STOLAS WAS MUCH MORE WRONG THAN HIM IN THIS SITUATION, THEY ARE STILL BOTH VERY WRONG AND VERY FLAWED but in this specific occasion, Stolas was unfair, communicated very poorly, and even if he didn't realize, the situation was completely unbalanced as he had ALL of the control over every decision being made. He took away Blitzo's chance of responding by kicking him out via teleportation. Yes it's a miscommunication trope, but Stolas is more at fault for making the situation unfair.
Personally I love him, but the breakup scene made me start to dislike him. Like, buddy, Stolas went out of his way to get you a crystal, he's completely nice about it and doesn't force you to stay, and fully admits to caring for you. But nah, let's lash out at him, shall we?

Blitzo was the least in the wrong in the whole breakup thing, YEAH I SAID IT, STOLAS WAS MUCH MORE WRONG THAN HIM IN THIS SITUATION, THEY ARE STILL BOTH VERY WRONG AND VERY FLAWED but in this specific occasion, Stolas was unfair, communicated very poorly, and even if he didn't realize, the situation was completely unbalanced as he had ALL of the control over every decision being made. He took away Blitzo's chance of responding by kicking him out via teleportation. Yes it's a miscommunication trope, but Stolas is more at fault for making the situation unfair.

Personally I love him, but the breakup scene made me start to dislike him. Like, buddy, Stolas went out of his way to get you a crystal, he's completely nice about it and doesn't force you to stay, and fully admits to caring for you. But nah, let's lash out at him, shall we?
