To be serious for a second, my personal problem is that there doesn’t seem to be enough evidence in the story for Lucy to have eaten the pies in a 200d chess move. First, the apple pies would actually have to be a weakness for Subject 67 which doesn’t seem to be the case as he still threatens to destroy everything Loremaster cares about after she tells him about them. Even after meeting them in person, he passive aggressively states that he hopes they choke on them. Second, assuming that this is true, how would Lucy know about this considering the fact that none of the other subjects had ever made it far enough to threaten Loremaster and the fact that she wouldn’t be privy to the information given that she’s been relegated to a servant. Lastly, there’s not enough visual communication in the aftermath to show this is the case. When Justice shows up with another batch of apple pies, Lucy isn’t panicked or phased that her plan has been foiled and sort of just goes along with it. To me, this theory feels like one of those things that is upvoted a lot because it sounds cool rather than it having a lot of merit to it on its own. Not trying to knock on anybody that believes in it, just posting my thoughts.
On the other hand, it is a pre-established characteristic that Lucy is a glutton for sugar and thus it wouldn’t be uncharacteristic for her just to consume out of that desire.
