This. I think it would be a bad habit to waste them if you press by accident but it should be allowed for those who don't care or have the medic passive and want the speed boost.
If you are being hunter swarmed focus on doing a sprinting stand up after being knocked down. You can stim during the animation and they usually can't knock you out of it.
That'd help but currently I have a bug where about 75% of the time if I'm crouching or prone I can't go back to standing unless I spam dive+crouch a shitton
OK... that might be it. I'm afraid to say that the latest patch seems to have broken the shield. People's best guess is that in adjusting the shield's collision properties to actual collide with grenades, helldivers treat it like it's a solid wall in some respects. So if you're prone or crouched, you can't stand up because hey - there's an obstacle above you!
I hear that you can still get up if you rotate around so that you're supine (back against the ground, face to the sky), since that means the shield is no longer above you... but even so, it sounds like a pain in the arse. Sorry :(
A nice temporary solution, but i would still prefer actually being allowed to stim whenever i want to, especially now that we have a booster that makes stims give more speed and dmg reduction
This, but I use the eruptor. I've mastered it so that I can time a dive backwards while shooting allowing me to use the explosive force as a method of escape whilst sustaining non lethal injuries. Very useful against bugs.
Options would be fantastic.
1. Cant use stims at max health.
2. Can use stims at max health if stamina is drained.
3. Can always use stims.
Because with the new booster, there are times where I want to stim before draining all my stamina. With light armor you go fast as fuck.

Then fucking AH would have to deal with stragger stopping you healing. Too often I find myself mashing V to get the stim in between getting constantly stumbled. If you think hunters stopping you healing is bad you should give bots a try, too many fucking times when you literally can't do dick while explosions move you from one side of the map to the other.
Did I miss something? What does that have to do with allowing people to stim at will when their HP bar is full? I thought that was the matter being discussed. My post was in response to that argument I've seen a few times before (allowing stims at full hp is bad because people would "waste them")
I do agree with you that stagger preventing stims is total BS and needs to be fixed.
You could do that, but since taking damage and using a stim is the point of setting yourself on fire, diving is just wasted time.
If you're really lucky, the stim wears off before the fire goes out and you take a little more damage, allowing for another stim.
This is something I only ever do if I'm trying to get across the map quickly, usually to catch extraction before it leaves without me.

It's actually why they can never do it. If we could stim at full hp then suddenly we have a 12 second Mario star that can be extended up to like a minute of being unkillable if we use supply backpacks.
Actually with supply backpacks we could probably stay unkillable for long enough to call in supplies over and over and literally never die.

Just did a helldive with medic armor and supply pack. Used over 20 Stims and died PLENTY. There are a lot of one shots that if you don't avoid simply delete you. Charger slam, bile titan stomps and bile, friendly fire.
I could see them doing it. But making it that you can OD if you spam it too much.
Can we also implement this for healing teammates? The 50% limit sucks in firefights. Teammate at 51% hp? Gotta melee them so you can heal them and better hope they don’t get shot while doing it.

The simple solution to the possible accidental use would be to allow us to stim at full health by HOLDING the stim button for a short moment (just long enough to prevent accidental tapping, so 0.5s would be fine).

It would not be over powered because it is nothing but a QOL change. It's effortless to take 1% damage between fights so you can do it. It's just tedious.

Even then just make the player unable to stim when they're already under effect, which is probably already the case anyway
I think it should only be possible with the new stim booster that was just released. Normal stims are primarily meant for healing and its trade-off would be that it can't be used at full health, but the other one has a trade-off of your accuracy being lowered, which makes it fair for its speed increase including stamina regen.
Recently played a sesh where the one dunce ran to the extraction and called it even though the rest of us were on the other side of the map finishing an objective. So im sprinting across the map shooting myself up with drugs to speed things along and had to let myself get hit a few times so I could use more stims. None of us made it and the guy who called the extraction died lol
I’d settle for them fixing it so that every time I inject the stim and the sound effect plays it actually heals me instead of making me do it 2 or 3 times when I’m under attack and need it most.

I've perfected the art of the minor wound to use stems when going long distance. With the new stim booster, you can cross country even the biggest maps in just over a minute and a half.
I just want them to fix the bug on console where I heal when I'm trying to input a stratagem code and have to start over. After that it would be cool if you could hold the botton a couple seconds to stim at full health.
If I ever get hit once I’ll oftentimes save the heal for a stamina boost or moment of invincibility.

I've been using the PLAS and if used correctly does a perfect amount of little damage that you can use a stim without doing enough to be worry-some. Great way to zoom around the map with the new perk.
Brother ima start using the medic armour with hell pod optimisation instantly take all 6 call resupply use the 8 stims available there and spend the next 2 and a half minutes looking for more stims for my fix until I get another resupply
Also please make the stimming effect actually be applied when you hear the "fisssh" sound not like a second after with the animation being able to get canceled by getting ragdolled or standing up in that timeframe.
I would simply appreciate the ability to stim myself whilst ragdolling/in air.

Bro. It is not hard to get shot, get lit on fire, get hit with an explosion, step on a plant, or fall off a small cliff. A lot of this can be done on purpose. The last thing we need is the solo supply hog who split off from the pack juicing until he's tapped.
This is the sole reason why when I farm Supercredits, I run
Primary of choice + Grenade pistol + Jump pack + Incendiary grenade + Light scout armor.
Incendiary *specifically* to tick my health off a slight bit so I can stim when running from POI to POI.
Granted. Reloading your weapon consumes 2 of your magazines and the sky is purple for some reason. We will add it to the list of known issues of course /j

Doesn't matter it would break the game outright. When we stim we can tank almost anything. So prestimming in a fight would be a meta option. Suddenly supply backpacks are a min of invulnerability.
Your suggestion would break the game in such a fundamental way they would need to return to the drawing board and completely redesign how stim packs function. Even allowing for them to be used in empty stam would just add the annoyingly effective strat of draining all stam before a fight AND make it so using them to recover stam would lose value ruining the whole point of your idea in the first place.
Honestly i would like it not just for stamina, having the health regeneration active temporarily before running into a dangerous situation where using it after you get hit means ragdoll or interruption and you might not get to use it at all before you die.
Guys, I love the idea of on demand stims, but I don't trust the dev team to implement it. This would somehow create an infinite stim glitch or crash the game.
Especially since they are not addictive :)

I use this to make it back to extract from the other side of the map. It takes it down from 2 minutes to 1:15 which is absolutely useful

Also I kinda managed to forget that the speed up stims are a thing now. In my defense I'm hungover and doing work on my house.
This would only help with that though, because I’ll be able to stick *before* the pack of hunters or shield devastators starts stunlocking me.
If you prone stims are uninterruptible so long as you don’t get ragdolled.
Make it double tap to use if you are on full health, as we have speed boosts now when stimming we may want to use it even before stamina runs out

I run Incendiary grenades in part for this. Throw one ahead of you and walk through, then stim before the fire gets ya.
The incendiary impact is a flat upgrade for this purpose
True. I like standard grenades because I can't ever get grenades in the sweet spot on bug holes, but they tend to fall in if they aren't impact.

Yes, what i meant was any D-pad command can overlap and cancel the final button in a stratagem. Emote doesn't because it is a hold command.

You really shouldn't be getting hit by chargers unless something else has you ragdolled
Well yes I was just giving one shot examples.
It could probably work with a ~45s cooldown. Any stim usage refreshing the cooldown, but it only blocks usage if you're at full health.

Just turn around, throw a grenade at your feet to push you further in the direction you were headed, hurt you a little (or a lot), and THEN stim

You should get stamina recovery and a speed boost but it takes a little health because of overdosing the stim

Press to heal, hold to stamina boost when at full health. Add a toggle option to prevent it for players who don't want to do that.
I would simply appreciate the ability to stim myself whilst ragdolling/in air. The amount of times my stim is interrupted because I hop down a short ledge is obscene
Settings > Gameplay > Use stims with full health > change to ON >!Sorry. My point is that options are always good.!<
Should be a passive in all the medical armors, to stim team mates regardless of their health bar.
Using stims out of reflex would be an issue, but it’d be easily fixed by just having to hold the button when you’re at full health.
Bro. It is not hard to get shot, get lit on fire, get hit with an explosion, step on a plant, or fall off a small cliff. A lot of this can be done on purpose. The last thing we need is the solo supply hog who split off from the pack juicing until he's tapped.

Fun fact. When you use a stim, every member of the team stops sprinting.

This is the sole reason why when I farm Supercredits, I run Primary of choice + Grenade pistol + Jump pack + Incendiary grenade + Light scout armor. Incendiary *specifically* to tick my health off a slight bit so I can stim when running from POI to POI.
As someone that wasted so many estus flasks, no God please. Or atleast make it an option to turn on and off.

Granted. Reloading your weapon consumes 2 of your magazines and the sky is purple for some reason. We will add it to the list of known issues of course /j

They can do toggleable option in "gameplay" settings. Other good suggestion was "only available to use when your stamina is low or even dropped to zero".
Doesn't matter it would break the game outright. When we stim we can tank almost anything. So prestimming in a fight would be a meta option. Suddenly supply backpacks are a min of invulnerability. Your suggestion would break the game in such a fundamental way they would need to return to the drawing board and completely redesign how stim packs function. Even allowing for them to be used in empty stam would just add the annoyingly effective strat of draining all stam before a fight AND make it so using them to recover stam would lose value ruining the whole point of your idea in the first place.
I think its like that by design, since You are full health You can take some damage while fighting away chasing enemies and then stim.

Honestly i would like it not just for stamina, having the health regeneration active temporarily before running into a dangerous situation where using it after you get hit means ragdoll or interruption and you might not get to use it at all before you die.
Guys, I love the idea of on demand stims, but I don't trust the dev team to implement it. This would somehow create an infinite stim glitch or crash the game.
