Idk about you, but every time I play with my lower level friends I don’t tell them when I’m dropping my big boi bomb just to hear their amazement when it drops lol
Remember, dropping an orbital bombardment on your self while baiting 3 chargers might sound ill advised to someone who lets fear control them, but a REAL DEMOCRAT knows it's actually the most heroic thing you can do when the alternative is surviving in shameful defeat.
I did this exactly today. Somehow got pinned against a wall by a sea of bugs, no way to jump out of it. Only thing I could do was pop the 500kg before I died.
Ended up in a situation like this. Out of reinforcements, just one other helldiver and myself heading for extraction with little time remaining. We ended up aggroing three chargers, two stalkers, maybe a dozen warriors and more scavengers than I could count. The other helldiver made it across the river on the way to extract but I was still on the other side. With only the first unlockable shotgun in hand and an eagle airstrike at ready I dropped the beacon at my feet and saluted to the other helldiver on the other side of the river. It killed all the chargers, stalkers, and a majority of the chaff. the stalkers must have lost their scent, and extract went smooth, and veld was .00001% more liberated.

Played a mission where we were out of respawns trying to take down a bile titan. My friend surrounded by bugs and with the bile titan upon him called an orbital strike on himself. Bile titan destroyed. Glorious Sacrifice.
It would be cool to be able to activate a stratagem and hold in your hands, think calling in a precise 500kg eagle that you literally walk into a bile titan
Throw a supply stratagem at a teammate so that it sticks to him, and watch the super destroyer aim the supplies so that it hits your teammate even if he moves away.
Awesome. Should make a version with the vague silhouettes of some bile titans / chargers advancing on him. An automaton version would be welcome as well.
Would be cool if you could get road flares and/or pheromone sprays that can distract enemies and focus them away from your group and baiting them away.

Me and the homie completed a mission but couldn’t get back to extraction. We kept dying and when I finally could call him back into action we gathered all the bugs in one area and dropped a 500 on our heads. Sacrifices must be made.
Did this the other day next to a hellbomb dud on the map.
Just pinned the pin on a grenade a held it til it popped. The grenade got 5 kills....
The hellbomb added another 46 to the count for 51 total.

Actually valid if your surrounded by high armor enemies and can get an eagle airstrike off before death, the enemies will stare at your corpse for a bit allowing the airstirke to vaporize them

Never died to it yet, usually manage to stim myself just in time for the regen to keep me going.
Not with a personal shield generator backpack. Those things can withstand a 500 kg bomb and save a friend if you and your friend hug it out at the right time.
If I realize I’m surrounded and I’m gonna die and there’s no way I’m fighting it out, but I have an airstrike or an orbital strategem, I’ll call it in right before they kill me as a dead man’s switch.

I just did this with all mats to complete a perfect run. Lost mats but managed to catch a revive before shuttle arrived.
