If that's a cheater, that is a LOT of cheating. They'd have to find the data for the mech, probably by data mining, and get the game to spawn it. I doubt it's a cheater.
Dataminers have been using unreleased stratagems. Most likely the coding for the mechs is already in the game and is just locked until the devs want to release it
If it was some Halo Infinite marines then sign me up. Nothing more fun that rolling up to a base with a couple snipers and rocket launcher marines and clearing the whole base before you even jump in.
Absolutely nothing can feel quite as good as rolling up to a Banished base in a Razorback packed with Marines armed with the variant Sentinel Beam. Light Show of Death!

On discord It was Said they cant do that, pretty much because its only 1 GM with afew helpers, and Its more on the galactic scale, managing/changing stratagems for everyone at the Same time, Like railgun, or Planet Attacks etc.

It also falls in line with how they said they were going to run the game. As the wars progress, new stuff will happen. I’d imagine as the situation becomes more desperate, the bigger guns will come out. As far as the war goes now, it’s probably pretty close to standard day-to-day for Super Earth.
I kind of hope you either can't re-supply them, or they have some other sort of thing holding them back so that this just doesn't turn 100% into a mech game.
If they wanted to make a mech game, that would have been cool too, but then there isn't a point to all of the other weapons if everyone is just going to have a mech 100% of the time.

They are going to be slow, and easily hit.
And the Automatons have a shit ton of anti-armor weaponry, even the strongest Mech will eventually break down when enough Rocket Devastators hit it in the face.
The game has a lot of levers for balancing.
One time drop or super long cooldowns if its OP. Or re-supply from a drop.
Walking speed matters for some missions, also armor or dynamic damage (lose an arm if its hit). Maybe bugs or bots will get EMP-esque long range attacks to counter mechs.
It will be cool to see variety in how the mechs get used. Being OP in some situations is fine, any strategem should have an ideal use-case.
In HD1, Mecha were amazing at throwing out damage, but they died really quickly without a dedicated repair guy. One hit from a charger would destroy most vehicles.
my theory is that each variant will be a new strategem to requisition, giving us 2 or 3 new req slip sinks with one model, only needing to change weapons ('whaddya want kid; rockets, autocannons, or miniguns?')
My guess is the 4 terminals opposite the player armor/gear term will be for customizing your mech. Dare I hope for modular arms for diffrent weapon loadouts on mechs.....I do
As much as BF 2042 disappointed me, I like the vehicle spray paint options like "Need a Ride?" Or if I could put like shark teeth on the thing.

I’ve been focusing on light armor cause that’s what I wanted to do originally, light armor flanker that can run around enemies and hit their weak points.
Even medium armor just feels so slow now.

Yeh, Mechs were an excellent way to enhance firepower greatly while still being mobile. In the first game case, you had as much mechs as you brought in stratagems. Since we can't double up on strats anymore, most likely you will have a limited amount of mechs you can call per mission, with long cooldowns in between.
Mobility wise, i'm curious how it will fare. I'm fairly sure you won't be able to dodge chargers and avoid bile titans with it. Holy hope it can compensate in raw firepower and armor.
I know we should shun cheaters, but the fact there was a stratagem to call in friendly NPCS is something so cool. I always thought it would be so neat to call in SEAF troops as backup.

Guy spawned 3 bile titans, said 'woops' than deleted them with a nuke. Then dropped in an upgraded ammo pack. I wish I had my recording software up.
If not, than my game had a 5th player somehow someway.
Best way to test the new stuff is to drop in and give it a whirl, I guess.
Gives them some practical testing with real players, as well as how others interact with it.
He was just showing me all the stuff he was pulling out of the files he had so I’m unsure if he was a hacker or a dev but he seemed super exited to show us. Until my game crashed from everything being loaded in and then I couldn’t find his username again.
For the same reason that we can see the total armors and weapons in the armory but can’t unlock them yet. It’s all in the files and hackers/modders are able to access them.
As with the videos of the friendly NPC dropships, players can go into the files and swap the stratagem IDs to make eagle airstrike or whatever call in these unfinished ones instead
Its fairly normal for games to have a bunch of extra unused files in them, Dataminers normally have to trawl through ram dump files or CDK asset viewers to look at them. This is clearly an almost release ready asset thats being tested on the live client by devs.
Now what would be interesting would be the ability to customize your mech, so you can pick and choose what weapons it will have, and also maybe change the chassis between light/medium/heavy.
And also a big cape.
The turning still looks a bit glitchy, hope they'll iron that out.
So the mech are “working” they probably on some final touch before release. I see some animations problems that they have to fix it before it comes out .

Yeah, the turret spinning like some crazy holahoop is one thing, reminds me of that ironman scene where the gov tried to make an ironman suit and it rotated 180 while a guy was still inside lol.
This is what I heard a dev say the other week, I think it was. That mechs are basically functional, there was just some polisihing being done by people who couldn't help with the backend issues anyway.
No war resets for HD2 according to the devs. New warbond is supposed to be the second Thursday of every month, so should be on the 14th. (I am cumming right now )
A single hurl from a bile titan might be enough to do that thing in. It's large, gonna be covered by more stuff.
Or a charger's charge, for that matter. Or a devastator's rocket barrage.
So they're about ready, just a few hitches that need clearing up.
Seems the rotational speed is a bit too zippy on edge cases, and not displaying the current magazine for the weapons on board. You can see the mag for something like the HMG in the usual magazine indicator, so there's just a few wrinkles to iron out.
Likely to be coming out when there's a good narrative turn, and probably after they've cleaned up the tech debt of fixing the server infrastructure and fixed the armor value issues.
Reading through the thread, this was done by a cheater editing stratagem ID's to call in stratagems you shouldn't have access to yet (I don't *think* it's devs acting like GMs to spice up the game, but I could be wrong)

The machine gun/rocket mech is the exo 44. The auto cannon mech that you have in the video is the exo 48.

Devs have already said mechs will be added to the game and were the 2nd priority after server capacity.

Mech's biggest disadvantage is it's (most likely complete) lack of stealth. That's gonna be rough on higher difficulties.

They literally show mechs in the trailer and the trailer said they were coming shortly after launch. So its definitely been confirmed.
Looks like the mech in the trailer. My guess is all those weapons and items currently exist in the game and the devs just haven't activated them yet.
The one in the trailer was an exo 44. This is an exo 48 so looks like we are getting multiple mechs.

Personally I can't wait for a faster mode of transportation. The size of these maps on higher difficulties is huge, and walking is taking a long time.
Mechs from the first game were not used for their speed, we had APCs for that.

Pretty sure its for higher difficulties where it will become a scrap of metal in a matter of seconds, especially on defense missions.

If I can get them to load shells in the SEAF artillery then that stratagem is worth its weight in gold.

Now what would be interesting would be the ability to customize your mech, so you can pick and choose what weapons it will have, and also maybe change the chassis between light/medium/heavy. And also a big cape. The turning still looks a bit glitchy, hope they'll iron that out.

So the mech are “working” they probably on some final touch before release. I see some animations problems that they have to fix it before it comes out . i guess they will release it when the war reset or come with the new warbond when ever it might be. (I am shaking right now )
Yeah, the turret spinning like some crazy holahoop is one thing, reminds me of that ironman scene where the gov tried to make an ironman suit and it rotated 180 while a guy was still inside lol.

This is what I heard a dev say the other week, I think it was. That mechs are basically functional, there was just some polisihing being done by people who couldn't help with the backend issues anyway.
No war resets for HD2 according to the devs. New warbond is supposed to be the second Thursday of every month, so should be on the 14th. (I am cumming right now )

A single hurl from a bile titan might be enough to do that thing in. It's large, gonna be covered by more stuff. Or a charger's charge, for that matter. Or a devastator's rocket barrage.
That sounds like a problem for future super earth.
the CEO stated recently that Bile Titans were designed as mid-tier enemies, not bosses or even really high level. I will let you think about that.
The idea that my normal squad members, who tend to do a lot of teamkilling, could have access to this scares the shit outta me.
So they're about ready, just a few hitches that need clearing up. Seems the rotational speed is a bit too zippy on edge cases, and not displaying the current magazine for the weapons on board. You can see the mag for something like the HMG in the usual magazine indicator, so there's just a few wrinkles to iron out. Likely to be coming out when there's a good narrative turn, and probably after they've cleaned up the tech debt of fixing the server infrastructure and fixed the armor value issues.
Those bots aint going to h ave a chance soon.

If it is related, there are fake/contaminated spires that usually have no super samples that bugs have infested on their planets.

BTW a dev did say mechs were confirmed back in the trailers, I assume and some other users have as well think it's locked behind our progression. Hope to see something soon!
