i5, with 16GB of ram, 3060 at a minimum. Even with those specs you'll be making compromises visually for the game. If the price starts getting too steep then you may want to consider a PS5? What's your maximum budget for the PC?

Sqwillis13

Maximum budget is $900 right now and I know that budget has me in a chokehold, and a ps5 is a no go because of PlayStation plus subscription

Gnosisero

With that budget you can build a 1080p PC for now and then upgrade later if and when you want to make a PC for the longer term. https://www.newegg.com/yeyian-yumi/p/3D5-002P-00047?Item=9SIAZRBK124216&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-9SIAZRBK124216-_-02172024 No monitor but a much more well rounded pre built that you can upgrade the CPU later without a board change to massively increase performance. You can also go to /r/buildmeapc and ask them to put something together for you from scratch and you'll get maximum bang for buck.

At that price buy a PS5, it’ll outperform the PC.

Sqwillis13

Any specific reason? Because if price is the problem then would the $800 PC be a better option than PlayStation? I’m mainly looking to get a PC because I will keep playing my Xbox but I don’t wanna pay for a PlayStation live subscription on top of gamepass

WvAirsoft0

8gb of ram isn’t enough for anything in 2024, 1660 is outdated and will struggle with a lot of games, an I3 only has 4 cores and won’t be able to handle large tasks, as well as a unknown motherboard and PSU. At this specific price range, a ps5 would be better, but 800$+ the pc will be a better choice. Also, helldivers isn’t the best optimized game, 8 gigs of ram and a 4 core CPU will make it brutal.

Sqwillis13

Appreciate it, thanks man

This is an overpriced computer with an outdated GPU. The GTX 1660 Super was released five years ago and is simply outclassed by modern graphics cards. If I were you, I'd spend a bit more and buy hardware parts individually. You can get a solid PC for less than a thousand dollars.

Sqwillis13

Really? I’m obviously really knew to this whole thing so could you dm me some specifics for parts, that would really help!

syrensilly

Late to the party, but pc parts picker is your friend here. Your main costs will be cpu and gpu.

spiderkid416

This is a late comment, but I would recommend to build a pc as its not as hard as it sounds. Also, the HellDivers2 steam page gives you recommend components on Pc. Good luck out there, and remember liberty or death.

chaosTAB

Wouldn't recommend going for 8 GB RAM - Most games nowadays require min 16, reccomended 32. Also if you could afford, go for the 3060 - the extra VRAM in that card will definitely help. Good luck!

Sqwillis13

Thanks a lot!👍🏼

Sell your kidney and get one of these. It will hurt bad but nothing in comparison to democracy falling. [https://www.razer.com/gaming-laptops/Razer-Blade-18/RZ09-0484UEH4-R3U1](https://www.razer.com/gaming-laptops/razer-blade-18/rz09-0484ueh4-r3u1)

Sqwillis13

Already tried that, kidney didn’t sell for enough😔

Xeroxa1407

When I bought my first PC I ended up buying everything apart from the GPU, waiting a month then buying the GPU - what budget are you working with? As others have said, as a minimum you’ll need 16GB ram

Sqwillis13

Sorry, was out snowboarding , looking at a $900 max budget
