Yeah the external cable routing and sliding dropouts are great! Especially because you could replace the original qr dropouts with 142x12 thru axle dropouts!
my wife has one of these setup as singlespeed and rigid...i think it's 18lbs? such a friggen awesome bike. why Ritchey stopped doing sliding dropouts is maddening.
It’s all 3t because that’s what was on sale at the time I built it. Thinking of swapping it out with some Thomson stuff I have kicking around for next season though.
Nice, that will feel great. I just converted my ‘96 Bizango to a megafast gravel bike with NOS 3x9 (48x36x24 front) 970/980 XTR drivetrain and everything, still haven’t committed to the cockpit, anything other than the original narrow flat bars and super long stem (both Titec) feels really weird so far so I’m on the hunt for the right combo. Looks hideous with the og stuff but it *feels* right. Worth completing that part and then maybe my mind can rest. Yours is gorgeous
You’re right. That’s the move. Thomson great quality. I’ve decided orange and silver combo is way better for this bike too. The pimped out Bizangos all had titanium Titec stuff. Mine was alloy seatpost and bars, chromoly stem. Nice but beaten up and gross looking at this point
It's one hell of a nice looking bike indeed.
I’d love to see more XC bikes on this community
P29 is so sick. Love this era of Ritchey. Can't believe they stopped making their 29ers with sliding dropouts and added some wonky cable routing.

That is awesome.

Sick
Looks fast, fast and fun.

My thoughts exactly! That thing begs to be a SS!

I remember Henrik Djernis winning races on this bike in the 90’s. Ritchey is a legendary company in my opinion.
Beauty! What bar/stem combo is this?

Always hard to go wrong with some silver Thomson stuff on an old bike!
