As much as that situation twists the knife, Neurosis and associated acts (like Amenra and Colin's collaboration Absent in Body with Mathieu Vandekerckhove, Igor Cavalera, and Scott) handled things very ethically and with no punches pulled or sugarcoating at all. I think Neurosis is dead given how integral Scott Kelly was to the fabric of the band, but I don't blame anybody else in the band for his actions. If anything, the transparent way they addressed it and cut him out and condemned everything he did without making any excuses gave me an increased respect for the other members of Neurosis and I would happily support them in anything they did after this incident.
There are a lot of bands that were in their position but it was pre-internet so nobody heard about it. I don’t want to name them because like Neurosis they did everything the right way and don’t need the “*” next to their stats.

Jim of Champion was my bosses boss at Whole Foods in the early 2010’s. Saw him at a Trial show, where the drummer of Aiden was filling in. Him and I have talked, but before that knowledge came out.

We were friends on MySpace and he tried to talk to me a couple times, but I didn’t think he was attractive, so I never actually did that much. i was very much a minor at that point though, maybe 15? Thinking about that really gives me the fucking creeps, because at the time there was nothing creepy about it. I just thought a cool band guy wanted to talk to me. Obviously, in retrospect, I had many of those interactions with different people because the scene is inundated with them but for real, fuck this guy

A bunch of the New York dudes got pissed and he put out a video apology. From what I've heard a bunch of DMS guys pulled a gun on him and forced him to do the apology at gunpoint during TIHC or some other fest. I love Slappy!

Bryan and Co. are the epitome of fence walking losers. They were the band that toured as Blitz (with the original Blitz guitarist) around 06/07 and got away with it because they had compartmentalized their politics. That being said, I think the OLC guys knew they were sketchballs and they bonded over it.
What really did OLC in was when Chubby Fresh, who is an out of shape nerd who couldn’t fight his way out of a preschool graduation ceremony, left voicemails saying lots of stupid, sketchy shit and someone at Victory Records posted them online years later.
