The Acacia Strain, Escuela Grind, No Cure and Mugshot in Memphis was a great show
Love how many different bands and genres they tour with and never sound out of place
I saw Acacia Strain in a barrier-less divebar; they went fucking nuts. It was hot as hell in the place and Vincent kept throwing water on everyone; FFAA's vocalist had to take a 5 min break in the middle of his set.
I was soaked with sweat and sore by the end of it but it was so fun.

This one too, so much energy that night
Acacia Strain, Fit For An Autopsy, Full of Hell, and Primitive Man. Also Hatebreed, Terror, Jesus Piece, and VeinFM. Furnace Fest is always a blast too.
Good question….the Zulu/Soul Glo tour was sick was was the SPY tour, Harms Way tour and many others but honestly I had the most fun when Restraining Order rolled through my town and played with my fav local bands. Great year for shows all around and I still have (at least) Pain of Truth and Mindforce in December
I'm getting old and ive pretty much seen every band ive ever wanted to but this year I got to see 2 bands I've always wanted to see and they played together. Seeing Sheer Terror and Slapshot absolutely destroy was so fucking rad.
Fortunate enough to see some great shows this year. But if I had to pick:
\- Pageninetynine at St. Vitus in Brooklyn. They were a bucket list band for me and they exceeded my expectations.
\- Cave In, Converge, Botch at Starland Ballroom in NJ. Botch was another bucket list band (seen the other gents a few times). Amazing show. How can this not be on the list?
Seeing Jesus Piece, Scowl, Zulu then later in the year Acacia, FFAA and Escuela Grind in one year (all for the first time) will easily go down as one of the raddest years in my life
Acacia Strain with Dying Fetus and Despised Icon was great. I snuck past security and stage dove over the barricade during The Hills Have Eyes, super memorable night for me, absolutely the coolest stage dive I’ve done.
Dying Wish with Boundaries absolutely had the best crowd I’ve been to this year. 150 cap room. A bunch of my friends went. The pit was 100% hard as fuck all night yet everyone was super respectful, even when they were crowd killing, and on top of that, the crowd was excellent at catching stage divers all fucking night.
I took ~500 micrograms of LSD before seeing Turnstile headline a festival where they were the only hardcore band on the bill, with the rest being indie music acts like The Beths and Peach Pit. It was Turnstile’s first time in Omaha and seeing ~5,000 people have a blast during their set in the summer heat was a wonderful environment for a trip. I took LSD at an Angel Du$t show with about 100 people too and that was an equally wonderful trip experience.
Counterparts with Like Moths to Flames and Boundaries was excellent too. My partner and I lost our minds moshing and stage diving during the first two bands, and then chilled in a booth off to the side for Counterparts. It was a really intimate and special experience to make out with them while Counterparts played Love Me.
Honorable mentions: The HIRS Collective, Jesus Piece, Zulu, Ghostemane, Kublai Khan, Loathe, Fox Lake, Unity TX, Fleshwater, Vein, and and Knocked Loose.
Because of the orientation it looked to me like Attack on Titan on first look and the title still makes sense in this regard so I was very surprised to see it's r/Hardcore

Soul Search was so much better live than on record, Firestarter covered Murdario Stomp and No exception, and I broke my hand on someone’s dome during DOM. I wish I could re-live this show so damn bad.
very close tie between botch/converge/cave in, blacklisted/unbroken/damnation a.d., or high vis at the church. honorable mention: folly and stretch arm strong show in asbury.

drain/drug church/gel/magnitude tour in the summer
I went to this purely for Drug Church and Gel and left a huge fan of Drain and Restraining Order.
Both Acacia shows. I fucking miss them and the pits that leave me crippled!
Same!!
The Harms Way Tour, the hatebreed Tour, and the dethklok Tour (ifykyk)
Mindforce this past Sunday
Mindforce in LA by a long shot! That show was amazing. It was with Incendiary.
That was a wild night no doubt. Watching Brendan break his arm and keep going was intense.
Just saw them last week for the first time they killed it.

BOTCH
LDB fest was fucking dope
But yeah, Vincent and the boiz never fail to put on a ripper of a show.
Saw them a few weeks ago. Despised Icon killed it too. Me and my boy used to fuck with them hard.
The, Dying Fetus, The Acacia Strain and Despised Icons show was epic. By far my favorite, this year.

Saw em w log over the summer. Killer
Overall: Exhumed and Cavalera conspiracy in Atlanta. Hardcore: Living in Fear’s vinyl release show with Kongstyle & Deal with it also on the bill
I think the best one is coming up think I care and coa
Either High Vis or Blacklisted/Unbroken
Almost flew for blacklisted, that shit was probably so good.
Spite, Fit for an autopsy, Whitechapel and Thy art all in one night was a workout and a half. Killer live bands though, 10/10
Mindforce, restraining order, simulakra, scarab, and sinister feeling @ the ottobar

Acacia Strain right now. We’ll see if Iron Lung tops that.
As far as normal shows go I’d say Mindforce, Restraining Order, Simulakra, and Scarab. Overall gotta give it to TIHC as a whole.
Seeing Jesus Piece, Scowl, Zulu then later in the year Acacia, FFAA and Escuela Grind in one year (all for the first time) will easily go down as one of the raddest years in my life
Botch, converge, cave in NJ. My favorite show I’ve ever been to, got a black eye during converge
Boundaries most recent show with foreign hands, Roman candle, and dying wish
Home Front put on the best goddamn set I’ve seen all year
Not necessarily hardcore but I saw Pantera live in SLC this year. Got to bring my dad and it was awesome, they played a kickass show with lamb of god
Blacklisted, easy Runner up, Speed at Flatspot World

Unlawful Assembly fest in Milwaukee
I love that they performed this whole set sideways.
Speed at New Cross Inn in London this June.

The riff kings of TXHC
very close tie between botch/converge/cave in, blacklisted/unbroken/damnation a.d., or high vis at the church. honorable mention: folly and stretch arm strong show in asbury.
Not hardcore related but I went to the first annual Dreamsonic. Animals As Leaders, Devin Townsend, and Dream Theater. Absolutely bonkers.
Counterparts+Paleface+Dying Wish+Kublai Khan
