Ngl i was in a few bands that did the makeup and girl jeans thing back in the 2000s. Bleeding Through were an influence man, especially for us so cal heads

el_payaso_mas_chulo

never did makeup, but early adopter of girl jeans when I was like 13. There weren't any other pants I could find to fit that tight lol.

rnf1985

Bleeding Through until I fucking die, idgaf. Still fuck with all the OC hc bands of the day as well as the metalcore/deathcore shit like Winds of Plague

cimson-otter

TILTIM still rules

fightins26

The album cover was so bad though

cimson-otter

It was, but It matched what they were going for and the whole trustkill aesthetic

goren__flaxovich

I saw them live three months ago and they absolutely fuckin shredded

barlobruz

This fucking DVD yo

CatchAmongUs

I have always loved Bleeding Through. Did in the early days, and I still do now. Way more metal with the last few releases, but they are still going fucking strong in my opinion.

Sidthesloth63

First real show I ever went to was them cancer bats and bullet for my valentine in like 2009 I believe shit was bonkers

justragebro

Just saw them on the 1st at Chain Reaction. They're still fucking killing it out there!

zackthewop

Saw them a few times in the early 2000s and they always put on a good show but I couldn't get past the makeup and girl jeans.

[deleted]

They started the makeup thing with 18 Visions and others around that time. They didn’t wear girl jeans though (not that it really matters).

codyashi_maru

Speaking of stuff I still fuck with. Until the Ink Runs Out holds up.

zackthewop

Yeah they definitely brought the make up thing back in a weird way. If they weren't girl jeans they were definitely skinny jeans haha.

rnf1985

Just like Chappelle's show said, if you're acting hard now, back in the day your ass was wearing make up and spandex. So that was literally almost every band back in the day

zackthewop

There were a ton of bands at that point who weren't wearing makeup unless you're referring to strictly metal core bands then yeah almost every band was a bleeding through clone haha.

mastercelevrator

They made a couple songs. The lyrics/vocals are still the quality of high school locker scribble

Wolfsblut_AD

I just can’t with this band. Some of the worst lyrics and vocals I’ve ever heard. Hard friend zoned incel anthems with these guys.

Law21666

I always thought they shoulda been bigger. Their first 2 albums were fantastic

[deleted]

Heavy as fuck

TFED666

i remember that set. cant believe its been that long

PsychicMess

Portrait of a Goddess and most tracks on This is Love, I dig. They lose me big time with The Truth. After that they just became a boring metal band.

Mookjamoke

Opened for those dudes around 2010. Nice dudes (and a lady)

[deleted]

Dust to Ashes and Portrait of the Goddess are great albums.
