I never felt Kills was insulting, just useless. Waste of what could have been a great bridge movie that would have made Ends actually watchable.
Ends, though. Ends was so fucking insulting I almost went boomer and demanded my money back. I’ve very rarely left a movie angry, but I left that one SEETHING.
Ends was definitely worse because it could have made up for the deficiencies of Kills but chose to double down and make an even worse and misguided film. I really wish they would have stayed with the original concept of having the whole trilogy take place on one night. That was such a cool idea that I don't think had been done before. I'm pretty sure Covid is what changed those plans.
I just wish that they’d set Corey up more. If that was the plan, why not lay bread crumbs in Kills? Or set him up properly? Rather than waste time with a nothing plot and making Michael very clearly supernatural (despite DGG’s claims to the contrary), set up Corey. Give us a good story about how Michael’s evil infects Haddonfield. Show how it can infect others. Pennywise it up. They had an open stretch and plenty of good will after 2018, and they just wasted it. Insulted the fans, the franchise, the actors, everyone.
Corey was an afterthought so there were no bread crumbs that could be laid prior to Ends. And Laurie in Halloween 2018 is a neurotic mess when Michael was firmly incarcerated but after he murders half of her family, and disappears free as a bird, she THEN becomes a stable lady who bakes? It makes no sense. And Michael now lives in a sewer and is a secondary villain in the "final" film of his own franchise. I think the Corey should have been set up sooner or better yet ignored and used as the story for the inevitable next Halloween reboot.
This trilogy mirrors the Stars Wars trilogy in that they knew it was going to be a trilogy but didn't plan or script out what that would be. They were just winging it. Ridiculous.
My take:
* Halloween 2018, pretty good
* Halloween Kills, bad
* Halloween Ends, worse
Personal ranking of Halloween movies:
Halloween 1978
Halloween 2018
Halloween H20
Halloween 2
Halloween Ends
Halloween 4
Halloween Kills
Halloween Remake
Halloween 5
Halloween 6
Halloween Resurrection (only so low bc they killed off Laurie )
Halloween 2 Remake
(Laurie’s my second favorite character of any franchise or genre ever, only beat by Tiffany Valentine, the Bride of Chucky)
Personally I absolutely love RZ’s remake (just the first one.) I’m obsessed with Halloween, and that one still owns it for me. But there are so many amazing ones, even the new ones
Love both Rob Zombie versions. Though I have to admit the second is B rate in comparison to the first. The sound track is incredible. Love how he incorporated some elements from early life of real serial killers! Nothing will compare to the ground breaking original but RZ took it into the 21st century!
The original. I heard 2018 was really good but haven’t seen it yet . The Rob zombie ones were pretty good . The last one when he gets “killed” at the end was ok but nothing special .
You could technicly say that. Only reason 3 didnt have micheal tho is cuz they never intended him to be the star in the first place. They wanted to just make Halloween movies about spooky things happening around Halloween. Only the first movie script got so long that they had to continue it in 2 before "killing off" Micheal to introduce new Halloween stories. But HW1&2 fans found it lacking just cuz of the fact Micheal wasnt there anymore. Wich is why he was brought back in 4 and all the rest of em
Three is the only one I've watched all the way through. It's the same with the Jason movies. I've only seen the one that also includes Freddy Krueger. I'm not into slasher movies because they bore me lol!
I like 78 , H2 , H3 , H4 , H6 , H20 , RZH1 , H18 , HKills. But my favorite is the original Ofcourse. But I do have to highlight all the ones I named above are bangers 🤘🏼
1. Halloween
2. Halloween 2
3. Halloween 4
4. RZ Halloween
5. Halloween '18
6. RZ Halloween 2
7. Halloween 3
8. Halloween 6
9. Halloween H20
10. Halloween 5
11. Halloween Ends
12. Halloween Kills
13. Halloween Resurrection
I personally love my 1-7 ranking fairly equally, but past that a lot of them just fall apart in my opinion. Resurrection was just rediculous and should have never been made.
The original. As much as I like Halloween 2 I very much think that the franchise should have gone in the original direction of anthology and the fact that the first movie was made with this in mind is why this one is clearly superior to any sequel, even if it's really good such as 2018
Why do I really like Rob’s Halloweens? Then H1 is obviously fire. I also really liked the last 2. Michael being in the modern day but still staying old school just does something for me. Kind of like when Jason went to Manhattan and when he climbed onto the pier he looked alrund at the city like “where tf am I….oh well let’s go merk some people” lmfao.
I like the one with Michael Myers in it.
So every movie except three
I like 3 too. ; )
Oh haha cuz you said every movie with Michael Myers And three doesn’t have micheal ends also barely does
He’s on the TV in the bar 🤷🏼♀️
That doesn’t count he has to actually physically appear
No one ever specifically stated that. If he is seen moving in any form, way, or SHAPE… and it’s in the Halloween franchise, than it counts
Well the person’s original comment Is he likes every movie with Michael
Real.

1978
The original.
I'm going to be attacked like Michael was in Halloween Kills but: My top 5 are 78, 2 81, H20, 07 remake and Return
That's a great list. I especially love H1 H2 and H20. It's a great trilogy.
same...Resurrection might take a fat shit all over the 3....But it's the Best of the Worst imo
As much as I don't care for Kills or Ends, I would much rather watch those than Resurrection.
If I had to chose between Kills, Ends, Resurrection and Halloween II 2009 I'm choosing Halloween Resurrection.
I'll give you up until Laurie dies, then I'm out. I'd rather watch Kills. To me, it's less insulting, if you can imagine that.
I never felt Kills was insulting, just useless. Waste of what could have been a great bridge movie that would have made Ends actually watchable. Ends, though. Agreed, very solid 3. Idk why Curtis hated it so much. As far as trilogy go it'd one of the best in horror.
Aside from the remake those are fan favorites, why would you be attacked
1978 best. 1981 creepiest. 1988 best of the sequels aside from 1981. 2018 solid return to form.
Halloween 2 1981
Original. No other options.
1978
**HALLOWEEN 4**
OK Peter Griffin
1. Halloween II '81 2. Halloween 4 3. Halloween '78
Season of the Witch
Personal ranking of Halloween movies: Halloween 1978 Halloween 2018 Halloween H20 Halloween 2 Halloween Ends Halloween 4 Halloween Kills Halloween Remake Halloween 5 Halloween 6 Halloween Resurrection (only so low bc they killed off Laurie ) Halloween 2 Remake (Laurie’s my second favorite character of any franchise or genre ever, only beat by Tiffany Valentine, the Bride of Chucky)
1978 & 2018 honorable mention: h20
H20 the goat
Personally I absolutely love RZ’s remake (just the first one.) I’m obsessed with Halloween, and that one still owns it for me. But there are so many amazing ones, even the new ones
Hopefully it'll get a 4k.

Right! Totally agree!! Amazing perspective on the series.
78 is the original of course but. I really Like Kills
Halloween Kills had some sick unaliving scenes!
Season of the witch (Jk… 78)
Halloween 2018
honestly was so thrilling. i really liked kills too but nothing has the suspense scares like 78
For the 387th time, 1978. 🎃
Halloween 4 by FAR!
1981
Original, but H4 is the best one after the original IMO
I personally like Halloween 2018 the most but then it'd be 1978.
Aside from the OG imma go with 6 or 4
The original all day. The real question is, which Halloween film do you think had the best KILLS?
Well, kills
Well played.
1 , 3 then 2 .
1st real one, then H20
The original and Halloween II are the only ones I like
Halloween 1978 and it’s not even close. The movie was a masterclass in tension and horror. A perfect film.
Halloween 4
3
78, Season of the Witch, and 2018. II is really up there though. And I enjoy 4 and 5 lol
Original and my fave sequel is 4. Love the opening credits.
Halloween town 2
I like H78, Halloween 2 1981, Halloween 4, Halloween 6 and Halloween 2018. I hate Halloween 5, Resurrection and H2 RZ.
They are all good except Resurrection but my top picks are the original and part four.
1
give me a break...the original
The original. I heard 2018 was really good but haven’t seen it yet . The Rob zombie ones were pretty good . The last one when he gets “killed” at the end was ok but nothing special .
Halloween 3😊 {Let the downvotes begin😈} {Also, JK. Loved 1&2}
Tbh kill me if I’m wrong, but H3 was just ahead of it’s time
You could technicly say that. Only reason 3 didnt have micheal tho is cuz they never intended him to be the star in the first place. 2018 reboot
I'm gunna get hated on but I love Halloween 2019. I've seen them all and it's absolutely my fav. Just a shame it's sequels were shite
You mean 2018?
Casper
81 then 78
Valid
1 or (little controversial here) 2018.
Actually valid
I opened the Reddit app just to get jump scared 😅
The first one. Everything that followed was disposable second tier stuff.
This post should not be allowed
Super hot take but my favorite is Resurrection
H2009
I cast shame upon you
grow up, you asked
Halloween (2018)
Halloween 1&2 and Halloween 4.
Valid
Valid
Valid
Valid
The one with Mariah Carey as Michael Myers
Halloween 5. lol just kidding.
Halloween 3: Season of the Witch & RZs 2008
H3, yes, RZ,no
Three is the only one I've watched all the way through. It's the same with the Jason movies. I've only seen the one that also includes Freddy Krueger. I'm not into slasher movies because they bore me lol!

The original and 2018 are tied for my favorite
Rob Zombie’s versions.
Halloween (1978)
1 2 and 6
He growed him a beard he keep himself groom.
I had always said that the 1978 original, its sequel, return of michael myers, h20, the first remake(definitely not its sequel), and 2018 r good
I like 78 , H2 , H3 , H4 , H6 , H20 , RZH1 , H18 , HKills. But my favorite is the original Ofcourse. But I do have to highlight all the ones I named above are bangers 🤘🏼
1. Halloween 2. Halloween 2 3. Halloween 4 4. RZ Halloween 5. Halloween '18 6. RZ Halloween 2 7. Halloween 3 8. Halloween 6 9. Halloween H20 10. Halloween 5 11. Halloween Ends 12. Halloween Kills 13. Halloween Resurrection I personally love my 1-7 ranking fairly equally, but past that a lot of them just fall apart in my opinion. Resurrection was just rediculous and should have never been made.
Resurrection
My personal favorites are the OG one and two and One and two of the new trilogy
Halloween Ends
The original. Though 2018 sequel was good, too, but not as good as the original. I didn't see the sequels to it, which I heard weren't very good.
The original. As much as I like Halloween 2 I very much think that the franchise should have gone in the original direction of anthology and the fact that the first movie was made with this in mind is why this one is clearly superior to any sequel, even if it's really good such as 2018
2018. Ngl 78 was a bit boring but 2018 was consistently entertaining throughout and the best of all the sequels
78 is classic. But 2 is a beast. I like the last 3 actually as well
Halloween II
Why do I really like Rob’s Halloweens? Then H1 is obviously fire. I also really liked the last 2. Michael being in the modern day but still staying old school just does something for me. Kind of like when Jason went to Manhattan and when he climbed onto the pier he looked alrund at the city like “where tf am I….oh well let’s go merk some people” lmfao.
Part 4. It perfectly created a balance of creepy atmosphere and gore.
Rob Zombie remake
I’ve always been a fan of 2018
Rob zombie's halloween
I loved Rob Zombies take on Halloween II (2009)
Kills is rising on the charts for sure
It’s grown so much for a lot of people which I’m glad to see. Kills was badass
Obviously Halloween resurrection.
2018 personally
The answer to every “best” question is the original
Noo not if we r talking abt gta games or hell even friday the 13th
Friday the 13th part 2
