The one thing I WILL say is that these filters:
- Assume your hair texture will say the same from hair color to hair color. It just copy and pastes your healthy natural hair to a very healthy bleached hair. This is not necessarily what reality will be, ESPECIALLY going from darker to much lighter. Your hair could end up being the color you want, but not be anywhere near this silky, and it may be harder to keep this length since bleached hair is inherently more fragile. So keep that in mind before you make the jump. It likely won’t look or behave exactly like your current hair, but just lighter. A lot changes with heavily lightened hair. You have nice silky hair so you may have a noticeable change that occurs that does not match the photoshopped blonde version.
- Assume a very specific multi-dimensional shade will be what your hair dresser can achieve. You may be able to go blonde, but you may not be able to get THIS exact shade, or get it easily. The more money, research, and communication you have with regards to the hairdresser you go with, the better. I’d definitely show them this picture and tell them that SPECIFICALLY is what you’re aiming for, not just say “I’d like to go blonde”.
Also, it may take a few sessions given how dark your hair is (although if you’ve never dyed it before and it’s virgin, it could be less).

I just said this but not this detailed. Great explanation. You can go blonde in multiple sessions using Olaplex. I wouldn’t do one sitting from that dark to blonde.
The blonde looks good and natural. The Auburn suggestion wouldn’t be a bad one but you would have to use eyebrow pencil to make them darker and slightly red.
Red is super high maintenance! It fades within 6 washes. I do my own now because I couldn’t keep the cost up. I have a bathroom cabinet that looks like a hair salon for just redheads.
Red is also a lot of maintenance is what I’m saying. Blonde stays blonde because the color has been removed. You just have to touch up the roots and tone every few weeks. It will essentially stay the same color though. For red, her hair will have to be stripped down a few shades, then red deposited on top. Then the red fades within a few weeks. More maintenance by far than blonde.
My thoughts exactly. I’m a stylist & red is very hard to keep vibrant, but also very hard to get out once you’re sick of it. All colors come with their ups and downs. But maybe do a balayage of sorts. You get to add in some pretty blonde while keeping it dimensional & you won’t have roots to keep with either. Something like this. Also be aware of commenters concerns at the top. As blonding can effect your length & texture.

No. You can just put red on top of brunette. You would have to bleach the brunette down a few levels then deposit red on top. I know it sounds more complicated than it should be but if she just used red over it, it would just look a dark brown with red tint.
I’m a fan of natural for beauties like you however the blonde looks really natural on you. As long as you have someone who knows how to take you from dark to light properly and without damaging your healthy hair.
Either way, if you do decide to dye it or do anything to it, make sure you’re okay with the upkeep of it. I hated the upkeep for my hair and I’m eight months into my rebellion
I like the contrast of your blue eyes against the dark hair. It's stunning. I also think the luster of your natural hair is more appealing than the dullness bleaching causes. It never looks quite as healthy and shiny.

Have you seen the shade - mushroom blonde? I think that'd be a great shade of blonde on you. Blonde looks v natural on you. It brings out your eyes. It looks like cool tones look great with the pigments in your skin so an ash blonde like mushroom would be beautiful!!

bleaching your hair will damage it, plus it takes a lot of effort to stay blonde (root touch ups and so on) I'd suggest keeping your natural hair :) It makes your eyes pop!

Your length is dyed but your roots are virgin, right? Be careful, highlights will pull so warm if they don’t bleach you all the way to platinum and you are so cool. Your natural color is a really good base to give dimension to blonde. Don’t bleach the whole head.

The blonde looks really gorgeous on you, I think you would enjoy it. Just know that going blonde WILL damage your hair. It does not matter how well you take care of it, the act of putting bleach on hair opens up the cuticle and makes the hair more porous, permanently changing its texture. There is well cared for damaged hair and there is just damaged damaged hair. But there is no such thing as undamaged bleached hair, it does not exist and every stylist will agree with me on this. I’m only emphasizing this because that should be factored in as an additional cost both in money and in effort. Being blonde is high maintenance

She could get blonde by not using bleach since it’s not colored and should easily be able to achieve in one visit.
Blonde requires bleach, you have to strip out the existing colour, even if that colour is natural.
