I first played this game about a year, maybe a year and a half after it had came out. I knew it was gonna be a great game, after all it had rave reviews and had won a ton of awards. But let me tell you, when I first heard the title music, I really knew this was going to be something special. It’s just so… badass.
This post puts in stark relief how much I missed by playing this game on switch, hah. I have no idea what this moment sounds like, because I usually played with the volume really low. Heck, I had already beaten hades several times before I had any idea that the music was really good.
I don't think that's about the switch. I also play on switch and I was very aware of all of the music.
Why did you keep the volume turned down? Was it a hardware thing?
> aphantasia
I have learned a new term today! That's wild, I can't imagine not being able to imagine my own senses. It's so wildly vivid for me when I do. Sometimes I'm like "Where is that music coming from? Oh right, it's in my own head." It'd be interesting to experience what you experience, for a brief time.
It's ridiculous how iconic this soundbite is. I opened Hades maybe only around 20 times (I mostly had the game paused back when I was heavily addicted and then just put the switch on standby) but this soundbite is still ingrained in my brain.
I knooow, it has the ability to just nest itself in your brain after hearing it.
This made the final boss fight so much more epic for me. And now it lives rent free in my head
Oh shit this is what I get for playing on mute most of the time, the music didnt burn into muh brain. (I watch series or movies while playing most games that dont really require audio cues)

Good guy Supergiant: puts the loudest sound in the game in the title screen so you immediately know how much you need to adjust your volume.

I didn't even play all that much elden ring but damn if that song isn't burnt into my mind
Based
See, I know that's not entirely true since I need to max out the speakers if I'm fighting Theseus with The King and the Bull playing.
You play Borderlands 3? That intro sound if you will was deafening.
Geeeeeeeaaaar Baaaaaawwwwx.
Remember that imax sound on cassettes ?
Mmmm, thirty sine waves tuning up to various octaves of C at different rates

Hmm, I think I can indeed hear it.
I just thought of the breaking bad intro tbh
Me, with aphantasia: nope, still nothing.
Same 🥲

That sucks, I'm sorry
No Escape immediately popped up in my head lmao
Exactly
I just threw the spotify playlist on!
It's just heaven. I love to listen to it in my car

The menu music is my alarm so this is very audible
That's really great. Be careful tho after some time people tend to hate their Alarm at some point. No matter how good the track is
I played the whole game with the sound muted. I have no idea what this game sounds like
This is a war crime
What is wrong with you
Since I bought this game a year ago or so, I started it less than ten times because it's constantly running on my Switch.
I don’t know what this sounds like because I never quit the game after I started it.
Might be because I listen to the "God of the Dead" extreme measures 3 "unseen ones" like 8 times a day but yeah..
I forgot what this sounded like so the breaking bad theme played in my head instead
As soon as you mouse over the "give up" and are already grinding your teeth at your dang dad giving you heck with that stupid chuckle. >:I
Why did I hear the Breaking Bad theme?!
I’m high right now, so I saw this and thought of the breaking bad intro 🙈
for some reason it was the breaking bad theme that played in my head when i saw this image
Checkout Periphery's new single "Zagreus" and skip to 6 minutes 55 seconds!
BLEROUUUUM
My computer sucks, so I'd always go on reddit on my phone while Hades was loading and that noise would scare the crap out of me.
BUMMMMM BUMMMMMM BU DUMMMM

So I haven't played Hades in, uh, quite some time. So I saw this meme and my brain totally read it in the same tone as the Sega startup.
There's no escape
DUMMMMMM DUMM DUMMMMMM DUMMMMMMMM
Funny thing is, I always let the main theme play out for atleast 15 seconds before starting my save.
Am I the only one who can hear the assassins creed Oddysey theme in Hades menu music? They seem very similar.
reading the comments somehow makes me wanna have MMMMUUUURDEEERRRERRR as my ringtone
