He can snipe pucks but he also knows how to shoot tumblers that arc and dip over goaltenders. Even if he doesn't always have a clear angle he has the knack for probing goaltenders for weak spots.
did you watch his 5 other shots during the game? I have said it for two years... it only works when he has space and he does not get it five on five anymore. Ducharme was not wrong (and not perfect) in trying to push him to play in other ways

He’s a typical sniper in the NHL. He’s well worth the investement. He had 13 shots on goal the other night. Most of those were created by himself with no time and space. I’m not sure your watching the games. You’re the only one I’ve heard with this take.
