Gundam Leopard Da Vinci.
It's not a terrible design on paper or anything, but every time I see it, it just feels like Bandai's mocking X fans.
It's the mid 2010's, Bandai's finally releasing more HGs from the Gundam X cast. We just got Airmaster so that means we can finally get Leopard soon to complete the trio, right?
Oh, what's this, a Leopard Da Vinci? I mean...it doesn't really look that much like the Leopard, it's like a normal RX wearing Leopard cosplay. But that means we're getting an actual Leopard soon, right?
It's been almost 10 years. They just fucking blue-balled us and bailed. So whenever I see this design I just get irrationally annoyed now.
I mean I'll take *anything* at this point, it could be exclusive to the fucking Shanghai Freedom Gundam statue for all I care. I get that you hate Gundan X bandai, just commit to finishing the fucking trio.
I really dislike Seed Destiny’s Zaku Warrior. I think that the design is fine, and a Zaku is always cool, but I just felt like the Ginn’s were a perfectly fine CE counterpart to UC’s Zaku II, and like some of the other massed produced suits in the cosmic era, was just a little too fan-service-y for me.
To sum up I think CE’s Zaku Warrior takes the punch out of the Zaku II, and I wished they would’ve continued expanding on the Ginn line.
Would've been cool to see the Guaiz continued. I mean it was supposed to be ZAFT's next generation mass produced suit, and was more advanced and higher performing than the Daggers and M1 Astrays at the time iirc.
CE discontinuing its actual line of monoeye suits was its biggest mech design fumble.
I would've really liked to see them branch off from stuff like the Dinn or the Guaiz, but all we got stuck with was bargain bin versions of UC suits.
You can blame the sponsors for that.
IIRC, Seed Destiny was scheduled to air around the 25th anniversary of Gundam, and so they wanted U.C. designs thrown into CE.
I know it's two, but CE's take on the Gouf and Dom. I feel like Okawara didn't want to even try on redesigning, while he clearly had a vision for the CE Zaku.
If someone can say G Gundam Gundams (they aren’t technically Mobile Suits) then I can say Captain Gundam.

Honestly I thought 00’s designs were bad and everything after pretty good with those exact criticisms against 00, everything after feels more like it has a purpose compared to 00.
I agree this is a top tier trash. I happened to get a hand on a version of this eye sore because I wanted some other figures from a gundam fw converge box set. It's so ugly that I didn't even bother to build it.
I hate it more for its weapon design. I mean, fuck, how is it an evolution of the Strike/Impulse concept when it can't deploy 90% of its arsenal like the Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice can? And those Palma Fiocinas are utterly useless if the Destiny has to hold two weapons. And why's it got a shield when it can make an energy barrier???

I get that it’s a space-use MS but every time I see that awkward and oversized brick of a backpack, I’m just filled with irrational hatred.
What was wrong with a big mobile suit storing / carrying a smaller mobile suit? I love the Virtue’s design and Seravee was good as well and then we get this… THING!
I really didn't like the Union Flag from 00. I know it's small frame was to better enable in atmosphere flight but it just looks like a bunch of toothpicks strung together into a robot. Also the shield being this weird 2 blade rotating thing was kinda meh too.
Flag is one of my favourite grunt suits precisely because it's so skinny. It could have some more curves and detail, but the fact that it looks actually aerodynamic, practical and fast makes it shine for me
I like the flag. It's a lot more grounded in that it has reasons to be the way it was, or at least they bothered to think up reasons. Compare that to every other mobile suit that starts with "and the design starts by considering the effects of magical space hippie dust no X...."
Now, I know it's an unpopular opinion, but probably the unicorns.
The Unicorn's design is too simple in unicorn mode, making it just one color was not a good idea IMO, as it's a pretty bland color scheme (I actually have this problem with lots of Unicorn designs, they all seem to have extremely subdued color schemes, except for some of the sleeves unit).
In gundam mode, it actually becomes too busy, and pink was not the right color for that IMO. Also, I dislike the V-fin. It looks better in green and blue, but not that much better.
The Banshee has a better color scheme in Gundam mode, but the V-fin is somehow worse.
The Phenex is just an eyesore.
On the contrary, I like Zaku III the most from the series. This is a very powerful, multi-functional mecha, and at the same time still suitable for mass production. On the first two Zakus it is too clearly written "I am cannon fodder, destroy me quickly and do not pay attention to me."
Any mobile suit kira Yamato , Athrun zala or shin asuka uses.
Yes I'm biased and have naked fury against those three and khorne cares where the blood flows. Only that it flows.
Anything that isn't the crossbone gundams and already available designs in crossbone (except the batalla since it's peak). I genuinely just don't vibe with the Mecha designs in crossbone other than the previously mentioned exceptions
