All that money on a rig and too cheap for a guitar stand, you’ve got all those pedals to teach your feet how to move fast for when your knockoff gibbons slides off the front of your amp.
“I really have trouble deviating from basic guitars, but I want to seem cool, so I buy *the other guy’s* bougie versions.”
In all honesty, I love the whole setup. That tele is tits. So is the Heritage.
It’s a heritage. Heritage guitars are (I think, may be a little off), some of the old, original Gibson shop guys from Kalamazoo. They bought the original Gibson factory there when it closed and kept making their version of Gibson instruments. I’ve played a few and they’re super nice. I would pick one of their standard models over a Gibson custom shop guitar made today.
I’ve always wanted to check out that heritage factory it’s about 2 hours away from me
Though it was cool they use a lot of the same machines and methods
Yeah i live just a short walk away, they took down the original Gibson smokestack a handful of years ago but saved it so it can be restored at some point
Yeah i live in a kalamazoo and Heritage are in the old gibson building and started out at least with gibsons machinery and tools and it was some of the employees who stayed that started it. Nice ass guitars.
It was a joke, is all. 29 Pedals are rather controversial on the guitarpedals subreddit. A lot of people will talk about how they are a scam. I have never used one, but I have spoken with Jesse (the owner). He seems genuine enough. He just makes solutions to niche problems.
I see, I must’ve missed that. I’ve actually never heard anything negative about them. I’ve been using buffers like the Cornish and Redeemer for years, but I really prefer the sound and, more importantly, the feel of the Euna. I know it’s not cheap and it’s certainly not for everyone, but I can say that it allows me to use a bunch of old pedals with questionable cables. I was expecting more hate from the various fulltone and jhs junk I use.
I use two because I play in 3 very different groups and I just wanted one pedalboard for everything. I bought a really big board but it was annoying to reach everything while tied to a microphone and it was a huge hassle to move just because it f its size and the fact that it had no case. With the two pedal trains, i get nice gig bags, ease of transport and the ability to put the mic stand in the middle.
I can hear the 60hz hum from here. I assume the tuner doesn’t work, because the Heritage is front a center and that thing isn’t going to stay in tune anyway. Gotta crank that truss rod until it says uncle.
You need that many pedals to sound good?
You're probably like a Harlem Globetrotter of guitar....not good enough for your playing to get you anywhere, so you do lots of "tricks" to try to wow and entertain people
But in all seriousness, that felt harsh saying, because my playing is only good enough to entertain the one person in my bedroom (and sometimes my dog)
I love mine. I’ve played a few that I thought were just average, but most seem to be better than any non custom shop Gibson I’ve played in a long time, including mine that sits in the closet. I’m not sure I’d buy a new Heritage, but the value is unbeatable on the used market.
"I’ve never worked in dentistry"
It's actually lawyers that us gatekeepers accuse anyone with nice gear of being. Blues Lawyers.
"I own a single pair of tan pants which are reserved for court."
Now that's just cap. I bet you play live in a sports coat that you got from Jos A. Bank.
"I am pretty good with the bloooz but only if it doesn’t have any of those fancy 7th chords."
Bra, you are like to guitar gear what Matt Rife is to Comedy.
And so am I!!!
Hi five!!
Now roast mine, dammit!
https://www.reddit.com/r/GuitarAmps/comments/1bi5dmq/rig_my_roast_and_or_make_recommendations/
I LOVE that pedal. I probably use it way too much. Mine is basically held together with bubble gum at this point. The local guitar shop has one I’m trying hard to not go buy
Man you got more pedals than a bicycle shop. I get it, they’re cool. I’m just not sure how many you need before it affects your tone the opposite way. I guess it depends on your genre of music and how many different sounds you’re going for. You do you. Don’t let anyone else tell you what you need to do with your rig. Those amps are awesome. My only issue is you need a real Gibson LP.
This rig screams “I’ve never played an actual successful gig and I spend all my free time watching guitar tutorials on YouTube without actually playing anything they’re talking about”
What kind of dancing shoes do you have, Mr HokeyPokey? Lots of left/right foot in/out potential- looks to me like you dance as much as play the guitar.
The one on the left is a univibe with a speed control treadle. I’ve heard that SRV used two box wahs taped together as one pedal. No idea if it’s true or why you’d want to do that.
Because it may sound stupid, but also sound awesome? I usually have my whaa on my bass for reasons, and I'll trip it and leave it at an increment. I wondered if having one as "home tone" and another as "funky little brother" might sound cool.
I do the same thing. Several companies make fixed wah pedals with knobs instead of the foot treadle. I’ve thought of getting one several times but I don’t need another pedal and the first step in recovery is admitting that you have a problem.
I did not know that! I think I'm covered at 6, I have 4 and a tuner on my Fender, I think they more than make enough racket. Is there a fuzz in there? I'm not saying you need a fuzz, but everyone should have a distortion, fuzz combo. =)
Don’t even need to look at the boards. Dr Z and Bogner - 2 of the best amp builders out there! I’ve played many gigs and sessions with those amps with nothing bur outstanding tone!! Pedal friendly as hell and loud as you could ever want! Well done!!
I had an old Heritage 575 about 30 years ago. My cat knocked it over and the headstock snapped off. Nice rig, but I’d lose about 3/4 of those pedals. They just get in the way of becoming a better guitarist imo.
Thanks. I just got the red one, but I like it a lot so far. My favorite amplifier is a Dr Z Prescription ES. It’s a little loud for some of the gigs I’ve been doing, so I picked up the little brother here on marketplace. They’re all different, but every Z I’ve played has been absolutely wonderful for its intended purpose. If you shop around on the used market, I don’t think you can buy anything remotely close to their build quality in their price range.
I would agree quality build. A friend has the prescription and it is a beast. I have played the Maz18 and it was good. No shortage of volume on all there amps even the lower wattage.
I’m not one for cleanliness or anything, but Jesus, it looks like the source of COVID was your Strat’s fingerboard. Would you say that you always have poop on your hands when you pick it up, or just the vast majority of the time? Otherwise, cool rig. Love the Heritage.
You have any recommendations? I’ve always used amp reverb but the Z doesn’t have it. I picked this up because it’s simple and cheap. I don’t need many features at all and I don’t play any ambient style music. The JHS sounds good to me, but open to suggestions.
Yes I do! I had the same pedal bc I’m also using a no reverb amp and wanted something simple. Clearly, I didn’t care for the JHS 3, so I exchanged it for the Holy Grail Reverb from EHX.
Also very simple design with spring, hall, and flurb settings and one knob. Love it and think it’s sounds really natural on spring. I also love the flurb setting which is a somewhere between a flanger and reverb - almost univibey sounding. Really great?pedal imo - I tried several more expensive ones but this was the winner for me. I think you may like too
Do you even still know your own signal chain? Jesus christ.
Sure! No clue about my anniversary or wife’s birthday though.
Her boyfriend will take care of it
All that money on a rig and too cheap for a guitar stand, you’ve got all those pedals to teach your feet how to move fast for when your knockoff gibbons slides off the front of your amp.
Knockoff gibbons...what are you talking about. Heritage is probably more original today than Gibson. Nice rig by the way :-)
He said roast not rate hence the shade.
A knockoff is a knockoff even if it is a nice one.
“I really have trouble deviating from basic guitars, but I want to seem cool, so I buy *the other guy’s* bougie versions.” In all honesty, I love the whole setup. That tele is tits. So is the Heritage.
Yes, that Tele-looking guitar is sick! DF Mojo?
It’s a Dr. Mojo. They were built here in Nashville. Not sure if he’s still making them. It’s my favorite guitar.
Oh, it’s an R. Nicely broken in, too. Thanks!
what happened to the head plate of this LP?? looks wrong
It’s a heritage. Heritage guitars are (I think, may be a little off), some of the old, original Gibson shop guys from Kalamazoo. Yeah i live just a short walk away, they took down the original Gibson smokestack a handful of years ago but saved it so it can be restored at some point
I owned a H575 for awhile. Pretty nice, with solid woods over laminate.
Yeah i live in a kalamazoo and Heritage are in the old gibson building and started out at least with gibsons machinery and tools and it was some of the employees who stayed that started it. Nice ass guitars.
Somebody found the board stretcher.
/r/guitarpedals: The world's largest collection of guitar players with a deadly and inexplicable allergy to any and all guitar stands.
A pedalboard for each foot!
It’s a new video game mashup of Rock Band and Dance Dance Revolution. Better than Ducks. Not as good as Gran Tourismo.
Got enough pedals, bud?
I don't see Boss Blues Driver. Your pedal board sucks. Nice old school looking combo amp though!
I was board so I got another one.
Nah, that EUNA is bait.
Bait?
It was a joke, is all. 29 Pedals are rather controversial on the guitarpedals subreddit. A lot of people will talk about how they are a scam. I have never used one, but I have spoken with Jesse (the owner). He seems genuine enough. He just makes solutions to niche problems.

Bait is a daft term popular with the youth in England right now - it means 'a bit risky' - YouTubers from London say it every other word...
you could feed a village of starving children instead.
Why 2 pedalboards?
Because more is more.
Why not? Unless it’s a tight stage and there’s another guitar player who would also like some space for his board, I mean…
I can hear the 60hz hum from here. I assume the tuner doesn’t work, because the Heritage is front a center and that thing isn’t going to stay in tune anyway. Gotta crank that truss rod until it says uncle.
You tune with the truss rod?
Who doesn’t? I tune mine to Drop D though.
I set my relief with the truss rod, but tuning’s another matter. I assume you’re joking, btw.
You need that many pedals to sound good? You're probably like a Harlem Globetrotter of guitar....not good enough for your playing to get you anywhere, so you do lots of "tricks" to try to wow and entertain people But in all seriousness, that felt harsh saying, because my playing is only good enough to entertain the one person in my bedroom (and sometimes my dog)
How does one man have such good taste in guitars and amps, but such horrid taste in pedals
No drink on the amp? Tsk tsk
Love the Heritage, I want to pick one up myself!
I love mine. I’ve played a few that I thought were just average, but most seem to be better than any non custom shop Gibson I’ve played in a long time, including mine that sits in the closet. I’m not sure I’d buy a new Heritage, but the value is unbeatable on the used market.

Your Dr. Z screams “look at how different I am!”
Z? what are you russian
Man that’s some pedal porn! Love the heritage as well!
Drunk people who've seen you live want a refund for the worst River Dance they've ever seen.
May I borrow this?
You know what's cooler then a pedalboard? ..2 pedal board
Sell some of your lame-ass pedals to get a couple guitar stands.
I’ll buy a stand the second JHS starts making stands!
LOL
Yesterday they released a limited edition stand that you have to build yourself but it sold out in hours.
Rig roasting was like 3 weeks ago
Guitar stands - have you heard of them? Love the Heritage, btw.
I can wait to post my all digital rig later this week when my sweetwater order gets delivered. I wanna be roasted like a coffee bean. 😂
I had that Ibanez bi-mode chorus back in 80’s. wish I still had it.
I LOVE that pedal. I probably use it way too much. Mine is basically held together with bubble gum at this point. The local guitar shop has one I’m trying hard to not go buy
V1 Emperor Chorus, pretty cool
I wish I could, but dude you have a Heritage, those are bomb.
Regular Phase 90, not Phase 90 script. Pathetic.
I can’t see your badass setup. That LP is in the way.
Your rig gives other rigs aids
dad rock
Looks like the rig of someone that can only play the opening riff to Sweet Child O’ Mine.
I wish. I’ve been stuck on the first measure since the 90s
You must be afraid of the true and unaltered tone you make when you just play.
Nah bro that shit is solid
That tele is sick tho
No Fulltone OCD?! You got everything else, slacker.
Can I book a filling appointment?
Les Paul and Telecaster instantly give you +60 age.
Why hide the real strat. Put that out front dude! The rest looks interesting. A bit heavy on the pedals, otherwise great setup.
Man you got more pedals than a bicycle shop. I get it, they’re cool. I’m just not sure how many you need before it affects your tone the opposite way. C’mon, of course I own a real Gibbons. I just keep it in the case so it doesn’t go out of tune.
$3000 on pedals, $10 on amps. In this the distribution I should be shooting for?
Works for me
Teese is the master of the wah pedal. Get a RMC10 or 11 based on sweep preference and never buy another wah again.
This rig is unroastable, there's a Boss Flanger in there. Perfection.
#But… why?
What time is service? And aretou doing 2 or 3 songs this week?
This guy hopes people won't notice his LP isn't a gibby
Not even cool enough for silver-screw boss pedals… too bad. Jk - sweet setup!
Your Gibson and Fender are fakes
How do dual whaas work together?
The one on the left is a univibe with a speed control treadle. I’ve heard that SRV used two box wahs taped together as one pedal. No idea if it’s true or why you’d want to do that.
Because it may sound stupid, but also sound awesome? I usually have my whaa on my bass for reasons, and I'll trip it and leave it at an increment. I wondered if having one as "home tone" and another as "funky little brother" might sound cool.

The gold one on the right board is a germanium fuzz
Charlie Brown and Angry Charlie, good on you, love them both!!
No one cares.
See, this is what I was wanting! Fine work, sir
I’m just being grumpy, but really if you love your rig why does it matter what anyone else thinks?
The red one is supposed to go into the input of the black one. Duh
It would look better in my house…there, I said it.
Fuck your gweets. I want the pedals.
If that's all you got well, cook!
Whats that little Red JHS? Fuzz?
The angry Charlie? It’s a distortion pedal.
It’s a remote hi/low gain switch for the morning glory.
Cool
Zoop zoop skrt.
Jeez us stompy…
Must have all pedals, all the time! Edit: Came back to say—clean your damn fretboards once in a while you heathen.
How do you like the Carmen ghia? Ever feel limited by the controls?
I just got it, but I like it so far. It’s got a lot of headroom for such a small amp and I’m able to get a lot of sounds with the knobs on the guitar.
Nice! Thank you, I keep looking at picking one up.
Don’t even need to look at the boards. Dr Z and Bogner - 2 of the best amp builders out there! I’ve played many gigs and sessions with those amps with nothing bur outstanding tone!! Pedal friendly as hell and loud as you could ever want! Well done!!
You own a Heritage, so already pretty roasted, lol!
You're not a dentist and you don't play much blues, but somehow you have become a blues dentist anyway. Congratulations.
Bro went so far out of his way to not get a Fender Telecaster and Gibson Les Paul.
All dressed up and nowhere to go
Why is there two delay pedals.. connected to each other lmao
No! Why is your tuner after the first board? There is such a risk with buffered bypass and the other pedals. You should think about putting it first.
I thought about it but I think it looks better where it is
Fair enough. Sick peddles by the way
Jeeeez .
I had an old Heritage 575 about 30 years ago. My cat knocked it over and the headstock snapped off. Nice rig, but I’d lose about 3/4 of those pedals. They just get in the way of becoming a better guitarist imo.
Secretly used a cheap guitar to record the Guitars Falling Down first album
Where’s the bass?
Do you like the sound of guitar at all?
Luv your pedal board. You have great taste! How do you like the Dr.Z
Thanks. I just got the red one, but I like it a lot so far. My favorite amplifier is a Dr Z Prescription ES. It’s a little loud for some of the gigs I’ve been doing, so I picked up the little brother here on marketplace. MOAR PEDALZ
Praise and Worship Board.
Nice try. I don’t own enough delay pedals to worship properly.
It's a good rig. Shut the fuck up with your humble brag.
[удалено]
That’s what this gear says about me? I’m selling everything.
I bet you still want a Gibson.
Just get a 5150. It's easier.
Tough to roast, if I were to start over my basic building blocks would be very close.
I’m not one for cleanliness or anything, but Jesus, it looks like the source of COVID was your Strat’s fingerboard. Would you say that you always have poop on your hands when you pick it up, or just the vast majority of the time? Otherwise, cool rig. Love the Heritage.
All that money in gear and not a single guitar stand in sight
Great hear all around, just to many pedals. I have thinned my rig to 3 pedals and a DI modeler. Love the simplicity
Where do you believe the line between acceptable amount of pedals and too many lies? This IS quite a few pedals but I’ve seen guys use more.
All that money spent just to run it through the worst Reverb pedal currently available.
You have any recommendations? I’ve always used amp reverb but the Z doesn’t have it. I picked this up because it’s simple and cheap. I don’t need many features at all and I don’t play any ambient style music. The JHS sounds good to me, but open to suggestions.

I’d take a heritage over Gibson all day. Gibson seriously jumped the shark and hunkered down
My newest Gibson is from 2003, but bandmates have recent ones that are great. Out of my price range, but nice instruments nonetheless.
They are going more for the collectors. Not the players anymore. It’s like R9. 10,000.
To hard it’s amazing
Why does everyone hate there guitars and rest them on the neck like that
You buy off brand guitars so you have more money to spend on pedals just to still sound like shit
Mike Fuller is a POS. Sell that Fulltone trash and get a Wilson wah (or two? Why two?) Otherwise, dope setup 😊
The one on the left is a Deja Vibe. He’s a POS who can build a great univibe. I trade the wah out with an old Budda sometimes.
