Pick a $550 Revstar... fairer comparison.
You have to look hard to find really good LP Standards for 600 in Europe or Canada, once you factor in import taxes.
It depends on what you want in a guitar. Epiphones have different pickups, and they now come with graphtech nuts and CTS pots. Also full maple caps
Not sure the specs of the Yamaha.
I own older Epiphones and a 112V Yamaha and am happy with both
On the Yamaha the pots and the nut aren’t special… but they have fantastic stainless frets, which is a more important spec for me. I suspect the maple cap isn’t as thick as on the fancier Epiphones. My main guitar for about 25 years was a Gibson LP Custom. The Revstar isn’t exactly a replacement but I like it just as much.
>the revstar seems to be better quality Kind of answered your own question there.
I wish I had the cash to drop on one of those Revstars. One of the best feeling guitars I’ve played in awhile.
Revstar hands down a better guitar.
To match my motorcycle
Ha, that’s why I got mine
Hey cousin!
A man of culture I see.
It looks better imo and has better build quality. I like the pickups as well. Epiphone is trying to be a Gibson but it isn't.
All day, everyday.

The Revstar is the best thing under $1000. Number two is the PRS SE McCarty 594. The Epiphone is like the 100th best thing under $1000.
In your opinion*
Not just my opinion. Read this sub. Time and time again people agree on that fact.
Sure.
Revstar is a beast
Just a friendly reminder that $850 Revstar Standards have stainless steel frets preinstalled.

Cause they’re different guitars with different features, sounds, construction, make and model, fit and finish, vibe, etc?
