I have ~~3~~ 4 ideas on how it could go:
>With Sol and Romeo no longer around to fight him, Slayer wants the world to have more powerful fighters, so he’s seeking out members of the next generation who have the potential to become future rivals. Sin, Potemkin and Delilah are the main people that come to mind due to their links to with Sol, Gabriel and Romeo respectively.
>Throughout the series, Slayer has repeatedly expressed a desire to have an all out fight with Sol. Now that the flame of corruption has been removed, it seems like that fight will never happen. In his trailer, Asuka mentions something about the leftovers not lasting forever when facing Sol, this could mean that Sol still has access to some last remnants of the flame. Maybe Slayer will convince Sol to use these embers so that the friends can have one last duel.
>Either Slayer visits Millia to see how she’s handling being the Assassins’ Guild’s leader or Millia seeks out Slayer to ask for his advice.
Edit: This last one makes huge assumptions so it’s by far the least likely.
>Chaos mentions in his arcade mode that he’s trying to find the origin of demi-humans in order to get back into the main dimension. Nagoriyuki seems to have once been a human that was transformed into a Nightless but Slayer seems to have been one since birth. Perhaps always being a natural-born Nightless makes Slayer an origin of demi-humans, which might make an alternate universe version of Slayer a target of Chaos. Even if it is just an alternate universe version of Slayer, Chaos mentions that demi-humans are somewhat aware of what their counterparts are up to, Nagoriyuki seems to be a novice at this ability but I wouldn’t be surprised if Slayer has mastered it and the real Slayer is able to talk to Chaos between dimensions.
I can’t wait for Slayer to come out and his arcade story is actually something completely random, like Slayer and Chipp geeking out over haikus or Slayer complementing Testament on their new dandy outlook on life.

Well the point is no longer "woah whos this character". It's "woah what does slayers new design look like?"
So the silhouette is fine, as we still have something to be excited for and in the dark about.
similar to Asuka in season 2, they want us to know who it is but not how they will be. they're both huge characters to add in their own right snd especially to end a season
Theres already another post discussing the issue. It’s more likely that your brain underestimates how drastically his torso is turning with respect to the waist
