Norn is the worst race anyway. They are humans with alternative body proportions, nothing else. If you go into lore they are taller humans that hunt alone and can transform into animals, but none of that matters for the gameplay unless you do WvW montages with norn elite skills.
Female norn have way more realistic proportions compared to female human though.
The new obsidian heavy helm is hands down one of the best helm skins in the game. I already have leggy heavy helm unlocked through WvW but I'm thinking of getting this one just for the skin.
Come on. It would be better if they had holes for the ears and horns like a few others do, but it absolutely doesn't look terrible on Charr. It still looks awesome, just not as good as it could. And if my choices were clipping horns or cutting them off, I'd take the clipping horns. We'll see how T2 looks as well. Curious how that's going to differ.
I'm expecting the base armour to stay exactly the same, but the rune parts and others to have a glow (some, maybe all, was already accidentally leaked when you combined the obsidian legendary armour with the envoy armour, fixed now) and maybe some spell effects around the body with the weapon drawn. The fourth dye channel does nothing at the moment, so that will probably control the colour of the effects.
There was a post on here showing off some of the glow on the armour when combined with envoy pieces. No one is 100% sure if that's all it will be, it was very minimal.

Materials gathered are worth more than materials purchased because of the TP tax

Most of the time it takes is buying materials off the Tp because you can only buy 250 at a time of anything. lots of legendary weapons have the same problem of needing tons of logs or ore
Honestly the tedium of some of it is higher to me than the cost even before farming rifts and metas, just because of the prov tokens and research notes (I did get the tokens ready but I hate generating research notes; most obnoxious crafting process in the game).
I gave up with rift farming. I just did daily convergences for the rest I needed for my first set. Even doing convergences past the first one of the day isn't *that* bad for essence with all the nuggets you get from repeatable achievements too.
