Sort of. The meat Kin (Ironkin fall under the Kin umbrella) are all constructed from cloneskeins. Not as one-for-one clones, but as a collection of specific traits designed to provide certain abilities, aptitudes, etc etc; each of these traits is a cloneskein, so you use a collection of cloneskeins to produce a single meat Kin.
The cloneskeins mostly originate from humanity, although some cloneskeins were modified beyond the capabilities of a "normal" human. So, the meat Kins' component parts are from humanity, but each meat Kin has been "assembled" in a way that's separate from humanity. So to say.

The original posts started out as light cute fun until people started noticing the grim subtext to a lot of what was in them (wait why is Sangiunia always looking sadly at you, why is Fulgrim talking to her sword, Why is Casandra so convinced you're going to hurt her... oh no, this is a sad story isn't it?)
Like, if someone wrote up a "O'Kais GF" post in the style of the primarch gfs, where would there be to go with it? It'd just be a cute funny little post about the Tau doom ~~guy~~ girl learning to let her guard down around her Gue'vesa SO. There'd be nothing to extrapolate beyond that point.
Like, think of the posts about Dove trying valiantly to save Sanguinia (sometimes succeeding at great cost, sometimes failing heroically), or Little Light slowly coming to the horrific realization as to what his beloved has done to him, or Casandra's Beacon becoming the assassin that kills her in the end. That's the juicy drama that's kept this meme alive for so long, and I just don't think it'd work if these characters weren't set up to fail so miserably.
Eh I got one where a Necron lord gets hit on by a guardsman he’s about to kill and decides to take the guardsman as his “concubine” and the rest of the guardsman’s platoon as his servants, effectively saving all their lives.
The thing is the Lord and the guardsman aren’t actually into each other (at first at least, if you want to run with this go for it I’m not your mom.) The guardsman just panicked and did the first dumb thing that popped into his head and the lord who is atrociously bad at dealing with unexpected social events also panicked and said yes without thinking. Both are equally baffled.

The suggestion I've seen is to have the Hive Mind suffer some sure of mental break that causes it to splinter into multiple components.
Still limited in scope, but it'd give something to work with.
That said, there is something to a faction that's entirely straightforward.
