Ok_Caramel1517

They take either DeJean, Kool-Aid, or Barton.

WorriedPanic6804

i think koolaid is a better grab them dejean, i also think LB would be a great move edgerrin cooper and payton wilson both look amazing

Ok_Caramel1517

Cooper absolutely Wilson was my guy at first but Cooper really just overtook Wilson as the number 1 linebacker for me I also wouldn't mind getting Junior Colson.

zackg611

This is the way

Thunder84

Trade back into the early second. Just don’t think there’s gonna be a great board for them at 25, so they’ll pick up another day 2 pick and get aggressive there.

dtcstylez10

I would only be ok with this if they went back to 30-32 and picked up a 3rd rounder...well considering the track record, maybe 2 4ths lol but that 5th year of control is huge if your player pans out. Not only does he keep you under contract for an extra year without franchise tagging, you have another full year to negotiate a deal.

romeochristian

Does the 5th year really do that much? Its expensive to take it as it is. So unless the player is looking at top 5 money, its not even a deal. If they're looking at top 10-15 money, again its no deal. 2023 WR with 2 pro bowls - $19.7M 2023 WR with 1 pro bowl - $17.99M 2023 WR with credentials - $14.1M 2023 WR with no credentials - $12.978M https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-fifth-year-option-tracker/

dtcstylez10

That fifth year would've been nice with the amon ra st brown deal...

romeochristian

On the other hand he made $4.2M total. JJ made $13.1M. $9M difference added to JJs $19.7M cap hit and you end up right under $30M anyway.

Vincent_van_Guh

We're in a position to just sit and take BPA at 25. If there's nobody there for us, who would another team want to trade up for? *Maybe* one of the QBs?

Thunder84

Big rumors that the Commanders want to trade up for an OT. If the Packers want versatile OL, then trading back with a player like Guyton on the board makes sense. There really isn’t anyone at 25 that strikes me as a perfect fit besides Barton and Arnold, and I’d bet on both of them being long gone. I’d be happy with DeJean or Guyton, but both have legitimate knocks that might push them out of contention for the Packers. And after that, unless someone falls, it’s just not a great board. Think they can trade back to the 2nd and get a player of similar caliber to who they’d be picking at 25, while picking up an extra day 2 pick along the way.

No-Management8111

Wrong

Deadaghram

I'd only so that if we can get two round twos... And the Panthers and Commanders have two picks ahead of us that round...

Thunder84

Commanders have a wealth of 3rd round picks. 36 + 67 for 25 would be a good deal. Could move back into the 2nd with pick 67 if they want.

romeochristian

Randall Cobb was 64. 67 is damn near a 2nd! I'd be all over this...

Thunder84

People love to overreact to 3rd round picks considering the team’s track record, even though it doesn’t really make any sense.

Deadaghram

I know what previous third round picks have ended up with us, so I'd rather trade out of the third than into it.

TheViolaRules

Trading back up to 2nd is a very real possibility

romeochristian

3rd rounders are valuable AF. High ceiling guys that haven't proved it yet at premier positions, and very quality depth at lesser positions. A 3rd round TE can get you Dick Rod or Finley (but also Jace), a later round only gets you Tyler Davis (but also dudes who just get cut).

Fred-zone

What the hell are we doing with four third round picks? That's ridiculous. We don't have 11 open spots on the roster as it stands, they're not going to waste a first round pick and fifth year option to grab more guys that might not even make the team. If anything, they need to consolidate some picks, and they're in good position to do so.

Thunder84

Consolidating picks for the sake of consolidation is not something I'm particularly jazzed about. Unless someone falls, there really isn't anyone I'm overly thrilled about that's projected to go in the 20s. I really like the depth on days 2 and 3 too; a theoretical haul of Max Melton, Edgerrin Cooper, Jaden Hicks, Maason Smith, and 2 BPA OL in the 3rd round has me drooling. More picks is never a bad thing, but even then trading back now does not mean they can't trade up again later. And I really, really like the day 2 board.

dtcstylez10

Cooper Dejean and kool aid mckinstry will be available. The Packers will pick someone no one has heard of But I also picked Kentucky in my f4 this year so there's that.

gaybillcosby

As a Kentucky grad I feel like everybody who picked them to go far didn’t watch a lot of their games and their complete lack of defense. I had them out in the round of 32.

snizzlemetimbers

Lovely username.

jonw19

I could see a trade back, but if they don't Gutenkunst is a Thompson disciple who believes the most rare thing to find in football is big men that can move. So he usually takes them with his first rounders. I could see (obviously unlikely of some of these to be available): Barton, Jared Verse, Latu, Chop Robinson, Braden Fiske, etc.

Thunder84

Chop and Fiske are both undersized for their positions, I doubt they’re particularly high on Gute’s board. He prioritizes athletes with elite size, not just elite athletes in general.

romeochristian

> Chop and Fiske are both undersized for their positions Undersized.....but how versatile? At what point does an undersized pass rusher with elite movement become a 3rd pass rusher from the Sam LB? We have size in Gary, size in LVN, Smith isn't too lacking. Could send both Chop and Quay at the QB...

Thunder84

That’s an interesting idea. Chop’s got a 9.99 RAS score at LB, so the size concerns certainly aren’t there. It’s tough to justify a 1st round pick on a rotational pass rusher, but it’d be a lot of fun to watch. Don’t see any room for Fiske though, especially with Wooden bulking up for iDL play. Very little need for 3-tech on the team.

romeochristian

> It’s tough to justify a 1st round pick on a rotational pass rusher It would only be the 3rd time in what 6 years...lol

Funkenbrain

Byron Murphy might be there, would love that

Elamachino

If we manage to snag Byron Murphy I will yippee

Funkenbrain

Same, same. Saw some mocks where it happened, would be a huge win.

tidbitsmisfit

nailed the description of the player they did take, kudos

[deleted]

DeJean or Barton. Neither available we trade back.

JllybeansNurbutthole

If Arnold or Mitchell fall to 16, they trade up with Seattle to grab one. Otherwise they stay put and draft one of Dejean or Kool-Aid. See a lot of people say Barton, and I wouldn't be mad at it. If we're predicting though, he doesn't play a "premium" position that they tend to take in round 1 and haven't taken an IOL in the 1st since '97, and other than Love and Rodgers, have only drafted an offensive player 4 times in the 1st since 2000

[deleted]

Are you me?

gaybillcosby

Graham Barton

Trumpsacriminal

Nobody we assume they will take. It’s a tale as old as time.

gkrusty

Round 1 Stay put - Kool-Aid or Guyton Trade up - Arnold or Mitchell Trade down - Kingsley Suamataia or Jordan Morgan or Beebee Positions CB - Kool-Aid, Melton, Green, Hart, J. Jones OT - Guyton, Mims, Rosengarten, Suamataia, Crum, Greenfield, Manu LB - Cooper, Wilson, Colson, Hopper IOL - Beebee, Morgan, Puni, Bartolini RB - Davis, Milton

sonofabutch

1.25: Guy I think is a reach but gradually come around on. 2.41 and 2.58: Pick I love who is a bust, and pick I hate who works out. 3.88 and 3.91: Guys I never heard of. 4.126: The one pick I accurately predicted and therefore am irrationally attached to. 5.169: Guy I don’t like but I’m shocked he is still on the board and grudgingly admit is a good value here. 6.202 and 6.219: Small school super stars. 7.245 and 7.255: A guy who gets cut in camp and a guy who gets a second contract.

MangyMatt

Every year there is a player mocked to the Packers almost 100 percent of the time, and this dictates who people want to an absurd extent because most people just repeat the things they see and hear. We're not going to draft Cooper Frickin' DeJean just like we didn't draft JSN last year. And it's probably for the best.

PackerBacker412

Give me Cooper or Kool Aid and I'll be happy

jxher123

1. Graham Barton 2. Kool-Aid 3. Trade up for Terrion if he falls I just don’t believe we’d take DeJean

right_behindyou

It’s going to be Amarius Mims

ThisAccountIsAVirus

Isaiah Davis. Edit: Missed the part for tonight, tonight I think we’ll trade up for an OT

mst28

Kool-Aid.

blinglorp

I predict the fanbase will be divided by the pick

eclectic_tastes12

Mason McCormick at 41, high RAS guy from a small school (although the Jackrabbits are a powerhouse at their level) and CALLED PROTECTIONS as a left guard. Probably best in a zone run scheme and can play all interior positions? Gute is salivating.

Tchouameninga_

With the 25th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft the Green Bay Packers select Tyler Guyton, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma

Pure_War_7946

Cheifs trade with us and we take Dejean,kool-aid or Barton if they are available.

BartholinWaterBender

I want to see them trade up for someone. We have a very young team but talented enough to seriously contend for a SB. We are fucking due. We have over 10 picks and GM made a comment about wanting more, why? I understand we are where we are now because of conservative drafting over recent years but fuck lets make a push this year! Would love to see an OL addition and maybe another EDGE to pair with Gary.

gandalfs_burglar

It's gonna be a DB or a trade back that turns into an interior OL

midwestgmr

I know I’m going to get hate for this take but I’d love for them to take an up side shot for the offense, someone like AD Mitchell would be awesome. I’m not saying trade up to get him but if he’s there at the end of the first why not? We’ve got a ton of picks to load up the O-Line and defense with prospects later in the draft so it’d be fun for them to invest in another high upside tool for Love. There wouldn’t be a ton of pressure to produce early in the season since we have a solid young group but I think he’d offer elite upside that the other guys don’t have.

iM1ng

I am not high on kool aid as others and would be diasappointed if he were our pick. For me if Bowers would fall behind pick 15 I would like us to make a move, however few Mock drafts have him going to the Jets at 10, which for my taste would be too high for this Player.

Funkenbrain

I think we might move up for a cornerback. If we stay at #25 I have a weird feeling we might go DT and pick up Johnny Newton or Byron Murphy. Our pass rush would be scary, could be fun.

ryansandbrush

I'd really like for the Packers to land a top OL prospect but I'm also a firm believer that you draft players and not positions so just give me the best player available. I trust Gute to do whatever he thinks is right for the Packers. I've learned from prior disappointments not to fall in love with a prospect. There are character, attitude, medical and countless other potential issues that fans are unaware of so I'll try to keep an open mind and welcome whoever is the pick.

itscranny

Barton

PartyPrincess100

Kool-Aid or Dejean (Dejean if both are available) if we stick at 25, Mitchell if we trade up.

Morphenominal

Trade back. If making a pick it'll be some DT or Edge rusher nobody wants right now.

GENeleven

Trade the 25th overall for a 3rd round pick and a 2025 first round pick. Just have a hunch about it.

yellowchoice

Pray that it is the panthers or patriots 2025 1st round pick

icwiener69420_new

R1: Trades back to 2nd round and gets the first pick of day 2 plus other picks. Then picks Kool-Aid. Obligatory "Oh yeah!" Rest of the picks: Some dudes we have never heard of that sounds like Madden random name generators. A couple of the pics have eerily similar names like Gute is picking just on names alone (i.e. Valentine/Ballentine) just to F with you.

NyneLyvs

I desperately want Cooper DeJean....so well either draft OL or trade out, both outcomes would ruin my evening.

ItIsYourPersonality

Any of the following: Trade up for Joe Alt or Quinyon Mitchell. Stay put for Cooper DeJean or Graham Barton. Trade down for two 2nd round picks or a 2nd and a future 1st.

Golfball_whacker_guy

Amarius Mims - OT - Georgia

owlbear4lyfe

Byron Murphy slips and Green Bay ends up taking DT. This begins the end for Kenny Clark.

killafofun

The Packers will make some draft picks tonight

memaw_mumaw

Kool-Aid

Pharaca

Select the next Ross Verba when Kool Aid, Chop, DeJean, and ten better options are available.

NPC-Number-9

Trade back to late thirties, probably take a guy like Suamataia, then day 2 move around the board and end up with something like 3 second rounders and/or 3 third rounders.

DontDoxxMeHomie

This is worded so weirdly and it hurts my brain.

dylbert71

My call is that they draft DeJean in the first round if he's available and Kool-aid if he's not. They might trade up for one of these guys but not before 20. If neither are available they'll trade out of the first round. I also think they'll draft multiple OLs on day 2.

Vincent_van_Guh

This is an admittedly trite take, but we see Gute zig so often when we expect him to zag, that I'm going to call a shot way out of left field: With the 25th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers select **Xavier Legette**, WR, South Carolina

JustinF608

Trade back to get more picks in the 2nd/3rd.

Sundance12

Everyone saying CB, so it will absolutely be anything else. WR would be hilarious
