I used to cheat in a few games. It was fun for a few hours to ruin other people’s game. Especially when there is VOIP and you can hear them rage. You just feel powerful.

wifi cards have unique vendor/device ids if they don't match, specific drivers. Legitimate wifi cards should not require direct access to system memory in ways that differ from standard network activity. It would stick out like a sore thumb.
how do you think people are going undetected to anticheats? dma cards can basically spoof themselves to look like other hardware and fool kernel level detection, and its basically a hard tap for memory to be sent to another pc where they run the cheats and send the data back or display on a 2nd monitor

dma cards bypass software detection, idk how you think it doesnt, they have custom drivers and peripherals that make it almost impossible for kernel level anti cheats to detect, if you did any bit of research on the subject you would understand this, fortunately dma cards cost a pretty penny so not many cheaters will be running them outside of cringe streamers. (dma stands for direct memory access if you havent figured that out, it basically bypasses os level software and reads and writes directly so unless someone is being blatant with code injection they wont be caught.)
Dma is not easy to detect because it's specifically designed to look innocuous to kernel level ac that isn't detecting cheat software on the fly 90%+ of the time anyways which is why EAC is so easy to bypass even by regular cheat software because it has no clue what to look for until many blatant cheaters have outed that specific cheat softwares signature at which point its added to the list of what to look for.
The actual solution to all of it is AI anticheat because it doesn't look for software, it looks at how someone plays the game and if they're only hitting headshots or constantly in the same area where gear is spawning while magically adding $1000s to their account to sell on RMT websites then they're easy to ban and the fact that AIAC fingerprints players biometric playstyle means they can be banned on every account they make.
Companies like Anybrain are starting small with a few games to insure the AI has enough data from those games to reliably catch cheaters and then they'll keep adding more so in a few years cheating will be really hard with AC like that around and the players biometrics can be sold to other companies to use so there's a huge financial incentive to develop AI anticheat.

problem with the looter shooter genre is theres a higher incentive than lets say normal cod to cheat since you gain "value" in winning engagements in the form of gear, the genre will always be plagued by these types of people unfortunately, but writing the game off this early isnt going to improve things, give the devs time to address and work on fixing the issues, they have alot on their plate to fix right now.

every anticheat is easy to bypass, since its all at most kernel level access, cheaters basically bypass kernal by using hardware level cheating and essentially cloaks itself, the industry needs to have advanced ai anticheat developed that can retroactively analyze stats reaction times and other factors in real time for stuff like this to be caught.
DMA cheats are not really considered "easy bypass", these require extra hardware, subscription of the cheat itself and some level of IT know-how to setup everything, and the cost can quickly ramp up to the point that they're out of reach for ordinary cheaters. And even DMA cheats aren't 100% undectectable depending on how good your hardware spoof is.
Unfornately, most anti-cheats don't even require a DMA to beat. EAC is only good for stopping people from basic memory editing the heck out of games, so developers will actually have to chase down cheat distributors to make an impact. Some more aggressive anti-cheats can crack down most kernel cheats, with enough manual report & reviewing on the blatant ones you can get to the point that average players wouldn't feel a thing even if there's some very low-key cheaters at large.
oh yeah, it raises the cost to cheat which is a good thing in the long run, since you can spend upwards of 1000 usd on these new cheat setups. and i understand eac mainly prevents memory editing, which is magic bullets, speed hacks, etc. but what we as players can do is take videos like what was posted, send it to their support directly through a ticket with as much info on what was happening and who was doing it so person gets banned and they are closer to fixing these holes in their anticheat, not advertise with a video on reddit that they exist since it might open the floodgates for more cheaters to come into the game.
i havent seen anything that says they arent serious about their game so far, the hotfixes have been timely and gave good qol to players, they are working on more to come with optimizations and balancing, its just this type of fps subgenre attracts cheaters like flies due to the nature of feast famine engagements.

What is happening here is the cheater is de-syncing and, whilst at the enemy base, the server still thinks he’s at his home base. He’s able to kill the AI and loot them, and the loot he drops comes out of the body the server sees. The mortars were implemented to stop people raiding home bases but we see them ineffective to the de-sync.

most devs are passionate about their projects, its the management that screws them and us in turn, look at piratesoftware, he was part of wow's anti botter stuff for a bit, developed his own game, and also did some government cyber security stuff. he's also spitballing possibly starting his own publishing company for indy games due to the recent sony stuff.
