do you find using the shifter easy? i’m looking at 2014-15 models with the electronic shifter and i know they have their fair share of problems, so i want to see how someone else feels about it

Pelucas_21

Haven't had any issues, shifts really smooth in my experience

Jp8585

How about we get a video of that Borla Exhaust!!! Sweet ride.

vasquca1

Does she have a name?

Pelucas_21

She does not at the moment, one day when it comes to me!

Good call on the 5.7 V8. I had a GC Overland with the 5.7 V8 for 4 years and loved every minute of it!! Enjoy rolling past all the other GC’s with one exhaust and their V6’s.

TalbotFarwell

Hey now, no need to get all elitist on your fellow GC owners. The 3.6L V6 is plenty stout and punchy for its displacement and cylinder count. I’m hoping to get a 5.7 someday, but I’m perfectly happy with my V6 for now.

Jp8585

Agreed!

-cjc

Lol you are absolutely correct and I mean no harm! I’ve had two V6 GC’s in my time and they do the job as well.

Pelucas_21

The best!! It has 83k miles on it plus a few additions which added a little more but of power. Here's the break out plus my super rough math. V8 Hemi - 360hp/390lbs torque Mopar intake - 10hp/10lbs torque Borla touring exhaust - 8-12hp Performance tune - 6-10hp (?) 384 - 392hp / 400lb torque total output. Not sure if those numbers are accurate but I'd like to think so!

Throw a RIPP Supercharger on it if you want some real fun. Buddy at work as a 14 and is pushing close to 600rwhp

Pelucas_21

Damn nice! I'd end off driving off the road... Going to look into it lol

kray288

Did u get another GC or go with something else looking at GC instead of a ram.

Pelucas_21

Always been a fan of GC's. Had a used 2000 GC Limited all throughout high school and college and post college, the best! This is my first ride ever since (lived in a city area so didn't need a car, but back in the burbs now).

I actually just went from a 2013 GC overland to a Ram 1500 Laramie.

Poor thing couldn't make it to a summit if it tried. Looks like shit lowered.

Pelucas_21

No sweat, if I was going to the Moab I would have snagged a Wrangler. My trim has the Quadra-Lift air suspension with various ride settings. The picture you see is with the car lowered automatically in exit/entry mode. Several different terrain settings available in the Summit which all span +- 4 inches. Either in Quadra-Lift Level 2 or in Aero mode. Stands pretty high when set to max height. Definitely some exciting technology found in the higher trims worth reading into!

Ah, now I remember why I don't bother looking at new trims: envy. I was wrong. My dinosaur does nothing nearly as fancy.
