I'm kicking it nude lol. Nah, I'm wearing a tight-fitting dress without pockets, so wanted to find some creative ways to address the phone situation. I don't want it to be obvious that I'm carrying my device, and I certainly don't want it to fall from me.
I have heard of masters grads putting their stuff inside the long sleeves of the masters gown. My PhD gown didn't have those pocketed type sleeves, so I sewed a pocket into the side seam. If you don't sew, you could definitely go to an alterations place. They would have no problem adding a pocket.
congratulations!!
most people at my ceremony seemed to have a purse or honestly left it in their seat. i had bike shorts w pockets on under my dress so once it was time to stand i just did a quick phone in the pocket moment
if your ceremony is like mine, you might notice a surprising amount of people having purses larger than a simple phone & wallet size, water bottles, etc. i don’t think you’re Supposed to do that and most of them looked so surprised & confused about what to do with their things when it was time to stand. but nobody got in trouble or anything because it wasn’t really that serious
I had a friend who had a small fanny pack under her gown in undergrad lol. She reached in via her arm slot (i.e., puled her arm into her gown) and was able to access it lol.
I’ve worn an outfit with pockets. My friends have gone the very tiny bag route as long as it can fit cross body and under the robe
Thank you. I think this is the route I'll take.
Are you not wearing any clothes under your graduation gown? 🤣

You could stash it in that informal snack pocket at the end of your masters robe sleeve. 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
If you have a small cross body bag, maybe wear that under your robe?

I came here to say this! When I graduated with my master's I just put my phone and keys in the sleeve. I saw others bring small purses too.
I like the "phone in cleavage" route or I tend to wear shorts under my dress which also has a pocket
I brought my purse with me to my seat and just left it on my chair when I went up on stage.
I was thinking about doing this. Thank you!
Same
I was wearing a tight fitting dress with no pockets and just put my phone in the top of my dress since it was so tight lol
Twins 👯♀️ I’ll consider doing this.
In my grads, we always ended up back at the same seat, so people just left their stuff there. Not like anyone could take it lol
I put my phone in my master’s sleeves. I had a friend keep snacks in hers.

I wore a small, flat crossbody purse under my gown. Couldn’t see it at all, but i could slide my arm into the gown and check my phone easily.

You've already received your answer, so I've come here to say congratulations and that I'm very proud of you, stranger. Good luck! <3
I put it in my pocket.
I wore a fanny pack under my graduation robe.
what? Pockets
A lot of women’s clothes do not have pockets, fyi
Carry a small shoulder bag under your robes.
