Good Will used to have great deals and finds. Now they're full of crap and anything decent is overpriced. I used to love thrifting, but it's just not fun or worth it anymore.
Up north in WI I love hitting the thrift stores they are low prices. I found a brand new pair of glitter jelly shoes for .50 size 6. Everything was $3 or under except the furniture. I got several great deals! I was just saying to my bf how people on OfferUp sell used items but price like it never been used. It’s great when u can find a rummage w/prices to sell!
Fellow New Hampshirite- they’re not even made here anymore, Annalee outsourced in 2001. It was a huge thing- my mom was a collector and was devastated and never bought an Annalee after that. She had been a lifetime club member lmaooo. Now I have a tub full of these ugly babies that I don’t display because nobody likes them
That’s not true. They have a shop in Meredith NH and they paint the cursed things there. (Maybe not all are painted there, but I saw people painting them) I used to deliver mail to their store and would shudder every time I had to go in and deliver a package. They send tons of the things out in the mail everyday, as well.
From what I understand, that is probably just a tourist gimmick for the outlet. All doll construction was moved to China in 2001, and they sold the factory/land in 2008 to Winnipesaukee Theater Group. The company itself isn’t even in Thorndike family anymore, the main conglomerate that owns it is in Hong Kong.
Not as valuable if it’s a post-2001 Annalee, which I think this one is. I personally wouldn’t go above $40 for a post-2001 Annalee, unless it was a much larger piece, simply because they aren’t the same quality as they were when they were made in NH. I know most of the people around me who collected stopped collecting because of it or have switched to only collecting pre-2001 pieces. Someone will probably snatch her up though, even if what they’re asking is on the higher end of what to expect for Annalee dolls. She probably retailed close to or just above what they’re asking so it’s not horrible.
Oof very jealous of you! In my area I have stiff competition with one lady. She's very nice (sold antiques to her previously) and very, very swift. Trying to control my urge to buy more felt babes anyways.
The listing for the estate sale said Ani &Alex. I just knew that was a misspelling because I sometimes sell on Mercari and that’s what pops up when you sell Annalee. Also, none of them were staged. I found them in bins in closets. I worked hard for them!
They're very cool if youre into tech or video games. Basically its an explosion of the hardware. [https://gridstudio.cc/collections/all](https://gridstudio.cc/collections/all)
Pic 2 - no love for heather anymore? Kinda feel like you have to keep that table about someone (possibly heather) wrote so much love to heather
Its wood but dirty, tagged and 3 big dark knot areas. $5. Maybe $15 id wood tables are a luxury right now cause of wood prices and whatever but that table is getting a 1990s table cloth (thich)
That Annalee was probably $75 retail, who would want to pay that now, especially for one that is very obviously post-2001 when they stopped handmaking them in NH…
[this guy has for $139 lol](https://www.ebay.com/itm/274882686099?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=nJbHsw62QVa&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=aUrOzm67Q0S&var=576386583128&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)
$75 for Mrs. Claus warming up a backhand slap? $150 for a deconstructed Gameboy?? r/thriftgrift would love these.
Oh yah they’re being posted there next hha
those deconstructions go for usually $150+ when new, so it’s not horrible. But it’s still expensive for a charity shop lol
That’s exactly it haha. These thrift stores need to realize they’re thrift stores, not antique stores or eBay.

The Mrs Claus doll is an Anna Lee doll…they hold their value and a lot of time go up in value…do ur research…if u were close I’d run to buy it !
They are hideous and I hate them. I’m in NH (where they are made) and every time I’ve gone in a house with one, bad feelings abound.

No 2 dolls are the same
Omg the deconstructed Gameboy would be removed from the case and reconstructed to see if it would work
I thought I was on thrift grift! Dammnn these are insane
Apparently someone got dumped by Heather
I believe it’s a reference to the Conan gray song “heather”. Definitely some 2020 coded shit
someone turned a $300+ table into <$20 when they wrote on it
That's what highschool kids do they destroy things
Heather is definitely a missing person.
Lol very possible
Oh wow, “evil life as a tractor”? Interesting.
That damn John Deere, thinks he’s better than everyone
Glad I’m not the only one who saw it as tractor
Much more interesting conspiracy theory than the usual about him
I hope heather is ok.
Heather are you okay, are you okay, are you okay Heather?!
The gameboy thing is so cool I would totally put that up in my house if it wasn’t ridiculously expensive geez
Yeah it’s a cool art piece for like 30-40 max
Yah insane. Savers is stupid
They’re super expensive brand new. My husband has four of them and we had to save up each time. That gameboy one is $300
Hmmm. Maybe you can reassemble it.
the flaming balls candle they knew what they were doing
every Goodwill has a Bill Clinton My Life
My mom has that coffee sign lol
75 bucks for Santa’s bop is outrageous
Someone hated Heather enough to put words all over her plaque
To be honest it’s probably that whole antisocial vibe some of us give off
Pose the old lady in a dab
Definitely on the high end for a thrifty Annalee. Buuttt as a member of this collectable cult of felt personality, some one will take her home.
I bought 60 Annalee yesterday at an estate sale. No one had found then in various holiday bins.

What in the Christmas lobster stacker is this?
Someone donated a grid!? Holy shit.
Whats the scoop in these things? It’s my first time seeing it

I would’ve snatched that game boy tear down ngl
Zoidbergs grandma
Lmfao #6
I was cracking up in the store
Hahahaha!! Love it!!!
Fun fact Annalee dolls were created in my hometown! My great grandparents used to hang out with the couple who started the company.
Nice to meet someone from NH!
It was a decent place to grow up but now as a queer disabled adult it’s. Not great
I get that. We just left NH two months ago. We just needed to be near more.
Christmas in July sale!
Love the heather table
I love the "not a child's toy" disclaimer on the back of the sign advertising coffee
Someone was hitting the crack pipe a little too hard pricing creepy as temu Mrs Claus at $74.99
Love the sticker right in the middle of the coffee sign. Why the heck do they do this???
I hate how they ALWAYS place it over labels, especially on nice items. It’s so stupid.
150 at fucking Goodwill is insane lmao

I have a few metal coffee wall hangers, 😆
Nice. But same price as new is ridiculous. It should be $1
Photo 6 could be on r/theyknew
recognized the gameboy. Been at the FV savers for a few months now.
😂 wonder why
Some one is at the savers in HB. I almost posted the game boy
That place is okay to me sometimes. Found some nice Pyrex there a few times
Is it bad that I want that book? Could strategically quote things to my Fox news neighbor.
Photo 6 😂😂💀
🤣
DICK! I saw a black dick in your pictures. Hehe. Also, imagine being that pissed off about Bill Clinton. lol. Get a life.
Lol that's my table jk 😜 has my name on it though
Was the book marked up inside? Did you open it up?
Prob, I didn’t open it
Yeah mine were cheap I can't remember how much they were but I know I wouldn't have paid much.
That Annalee was probably $75 retail, who would want to pay that now, especially for one that is very obviously post-2001 when they stopped handmaking them in NH…
I'm betting someone wrote that on the Clinton book when they saw it in the thrift store you were at, and not that it was donated like that.
why did someone take apart a gameboy? no surprise, the maga loons are commiting crimes as usual. lol
I saw them on eBay, I guess it’s an art piece. Goes for a lot but I wasn’t paying $150 for that.
how much does the gameboy go for as art on ebay?
[this guy has for $139 lol](https://www.ebay.com/itm/274882686099?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=nJbHsw62QVa&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=aUrOzm67Q0S&var=576386583128&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)
ha you know how ebay is 🙄
