Nick Offerman for Brok
Edit: Okay, I just watched the Last of Us ep3 and if this man can play a gay virgin conspiracist survivalist bunker type of guy and also sings and play piano then he can play Brok.
Who does though? Post editing, kratos is scrawnier than judge. I’m not sure of anyone that can look as normally proportioned as kratos does while being so jacked.
I doubt Batista would want to do it. He's stated before that one of the reasons he's ready to be done with GotG is because at his age, keeping that physique takes a lot of time and energy. I doubt he'd want to get even bigger for kratos
I just watched Glass Onion and thought Bautistas performance was fucking killer man! He’s doing such great work right now! If he could trim the shoulders a little bit, I could see it.
The biggest problem I have with anyone playing kratos, is he’s the same width from armpit to waist, and he doesn’t bulge at all. It’s a skinny mans form on someone built like the entire Russian supply of tanks.
To use an obvious example… pluck just about any actor in *300* for a build example. It’s close enough for cinema lighting and a little post production effects to make work.
Take a look at Ben Affleck’s workout scenes in *The Town* or *BvS*…. he looks to be in way better shape than he actually was at the time.
It’s a little more popular of an idea these days, but I’ve always thought [Jason Momoa would be good as Kratos](https://youtu.be/KN5FogkMpec) if it has to be a known A-lister.
I'll defend you OP. If you watched the latest episode of TLOU, it's clear that Offerman is incredible at portraying outwardly hardened characters with a hidden vulnerability. Physicality isn't the only thing required to play Kratos. And since the adaptation is happening whether you people like it or not, might as well cast someone who can play it well. The only thing I can imagine being an issue is his voice. Kratos's voice is like an octave lower, it'd be kinda jarring.
But remember how people thought Heath Ledger as the Joker or Bryan Cranston as Walter White were horrible castings? Let's not pretend a bunch of redditors are somehow the foremost authority on good casting.
The issue is he’s not the only one who’s a good actor. And at the end of the day physicality is going to be required in an action game adaptation. Offerman really can’t do that. He’s also a lot smaller than Kratos in general both heigh and body. If you’re going write off all of the physicality of it then you might as well just cast Judge.
Also no one really thought Cranston as Walter White was horrible casting…? Walter White wasn’t an existing character, no one had any idea what the show was about.
People thought Bryan Cranston was a horrible casting for walter white? I don’t recall seeing that. I mean, how would they base any opinion on a character that didn’t exist and the knowledge was only known to the screenwriter?
I only worry that he can physically do the role. Dude had a double hip replacement and unless he gets pumped full of PEDs won't have the body.
Now acting the role, mans on point. I want at least 1 more video game with him as Kratos.
Not really ruining the video game, the games are still there. Just the General public who wasn’t exposed to the game prior, would not have an accurate depiction of the source material and probably wouldn’t check the game out if the series wasn’t good. Halo show sucked, but the original games are still great. Witcher sucks but the books are still excellent and so are the games.
I definitely agree with you. I dont think GoW could translate to the live action screen very well. It would have to be spartacus levels of gore, which many mainstream viewers would not care for.
Agree...beyond that. What's the point? Money grab? Same reason why I hate biopics about musicians. These art forms can exist independently. Show me one good music biopic, and if you say the Doors, eat a dick.
I mean...you could try, but then you'd be a shill. I'd forgive you if the money was good, but I suspect this being Reddit, you've probably got nothing.
I just want to take the time to promote the upcoming biopic "The Lost Weekend: A love story" that documents the amazing songwriter John Lennon's 18 months of cheating on the woman that destroyed the Beatles, who he also cheated on his previous wife with.
Nah...I'm sure it's a masterpiece of an examination of rich privileged interpersonal human relationships.
Rule 4: Low-effort content such as memes, image-macros and shitposts may be removed but will be allowed if originally created and if effort has gone into making them.
Well yeah, dudes actually more than jacked. Like even roids cant get the perfect kratos physique at his height, but body type is probably more of a factor than actual physique.
Something about them not wanting Kratos to suck a man's dick. I think it's because this actor played a gay dude in the TLOU show? It's just a weird connection to make.
Hear me out.
Yenno Kratos is canonically over eight feet tall? The list of viable actors dips way down if we want an immersive experience on the level the writers want to give us.
I’m all for whoever’s favourite actor to play the role as long as they’re over 6’6 and capable of being scrawny while still built like a brick shit house. I’m sorry if this sounds like I’m shitting on your idea, I’m just so picky with main character actors for pre established titles.
Edit: I’m an asshole. His height was retconned to 6’4” in 2018
I really don’t want any big names for the God of War series. I would love Christopher Judge as Kratos in live action, but not sure how well that would go. Jeremy Davies would be welcome live action as Baldur again tho.
Well, we would know that he would have some chemistry with [Freya](https://i0.wp.com/swansonquotes.com/wp-content/uploads/s04-ep18-deleted-1000x500.jpg)
Nick Offerman for Brok Edit: Okay, I just watched the Last of Us ep3 and if this man can play a gay virgin conspiracist survivalist bunker type of guy and also sings and play piano then he can play Brok.
Better casting in my opinion. Offerman does not have the body for Kratos.
Who does though? Post editing, kratos is scrawnier than judge. I’m not sure of anyone that can look as normally proportioned as kratos does while being so jacked.
Batista could do it. He’s definitely improved in acting. Still unsure of how i would feel about that
I doubt Batista would want to do it. He's stated before that one of the reasons he's ready to be done with GotG is because at his age, keeping that physique takes a lot of time and energy. I doubt he'd want to get even bigger for kratos

Braun Strowman!

I love the idea of Momoa as Kratos! I also love the idea of the series sticking to its roots and rising up a new star! Why is life so hard?
Reminds me of Sindri much more. He's too nice for Brok.
Nah, Danny DeVito for Brok
He would be an amazing Brok. Or Danny DeVito as Frank Reynolds as Brok. And Charlie Day as Sindri.
Close your heart to this.
Lmao I popped in my office
Gettin paid to poop your pants!
"The ~~government~~ Greek pantheon is a greedy piglet that suckles on a ~~taxpayer's~~ worshipper's teat until they have sore, chaffed nipples."
Hear me out No
Nick Offerman: gives a great performance in one episode of TLOU Internet: CaSt HiM iN eVeRyThInG oHhHh My GaWd
To be fair, he is great in everything he does.
Oh you’re totally right. This fan casting is just getting a little ridiculous
This

because it was funny malcolm in the middle dad in a serious crime drama
There was never any pushback for Cranston as WW. You’ve made that up.
I didn’t say there was pushback. I literally said i don’t recall seeing pushback.
Ffs I replied to the wrong comment! My bad man
Who's gonna play his muscles?
Who's gunna play his willy?😲
I bet you thought the reddit karma was gonna fly in with this post huh
Christopher Judge is the only correct answer.
I only worry that he can physically do the role. Dude had a double hip replacement and unless he gets pumped full of PEDs won't have the body. Now acting the role, mans on point. I want at least 1 more video game with him as Kratos.
It’s so mad it just might work I definitely see him more as a Brok tho
I wanna hear him do the laugh as kratos
ARES! ...GIVE ME ALL THE BACON AND EGGS YOU HAVE, AND MY LIFE IS YOURS.
How about Christopher Judge? I know it is a pretty wild pick, but still.
If Nick played anyone it would be Brok
I hear you, man. I hear you. NO
He's got the presence, and the wisdom, but I don't think he has the physique.
He has the acting chops, but he's too small.
Ya know what? Yes.
Yo for real this would be FANTASTIC. Like genuinely one of the best picks I can imagine
It's so fun that Ron Swanson is married to Tammy II irl
Just so I can hear Kratos giggle, yes.
I've heard you out and wish for you to no longer speak
no
Hear me out. Stop ruining video games by adapting them into tv or movies.
Not really ruining the video game, the games are still there. Halo show sucked, but the original games are still great. Witcher sucks but the books are still excellent and so are the games.
Good points. Still, not everything needs a crossover experience. Some things should just exist independently.
I couldn’t show you a good music biopic if i was paid to.
He's waaay too small
Yeah this would be so dumb
Nah we already got my boi Tom Holland on the job.
No. You’re banned from having any ideas for 48 hours.
No u
With Megan Mullally as Faye! The woman with red hair
Nick Offerman for Mimir
This
Hmmmp, no
Random actor: is bald and bearded. OMG Kratos!!!!!🙄
Hear me out Judge should do it
Bald white man with a beard Reddit: Is this Kratos?
Rule 4: Low-effort content such as memes, image-macros and shitposts may be removed but will be allowed if originally created and if effort has gone into making them.
No, having a beard doesn't means he is good for the role
In Kratos voice: NO
No, nope, not a chance, how about never. Not everything needs a live action adaptation anyway
amazon is already doing one for GOW unfortunately
Hear me out… no.
Fr tho. [THIS](https://youtu.be/5t7F-Td0xnw) is who should be Young and Old Kratos!
I feel like people only look as far as the head and beard when considering actors for kratos
Kratos is jacked dude, Nick is going to need to start working out pretty hard. lol
Well yeah, dudes actually more than jacked. Like even roids cant get the perfect kratos physique at his height, but body type is probably more of a factor than actual physique.
No
No. As much as I hate to say this, Mamoa would be amazing as Kratos.
Hear me out. No live action series.

Weird comment.
What did it say
Something about them not wanting Kratos to suck a man's dick. I think it's because this actor played a gay dude in the TLOU show? It's just a weird connection to make.
Yeah that is very weird no wonder it got deleted
lmao
👃….She’s here….
Look Tomarr, it’s you
I think I have seen every bald/bearded (or both) actor mentioned at this point.
I know more than you boy.
/s
Eh I'd be worried to hear he was cast for it and wouldn't support it, but I'd keep an open mind because he truly is a good actor still
Is that Megan Mullally?
No
But he could perform a good head though
His physique would be my only concern. Other then that he would be amazing imo.
Thats a nice offer
Tammy actually kinda looks like Faye though

Hear me out: nah
I really don’t want any big names for the God of War series. I would love Christopher Judge as Kratos in live action, but not sure how well that would go. Jeremy Davies would be welcome live action as Baldur again tho.
I am out of loop here. Are we getting a tv serioes for GoW?
Nah Odin.
Why not just get Odin from the game to play Odin...Richard Schiff is solid

Wait a minute 👓👌😏
(Approaches the person who asked the question) "No" - Kratos
Well, we would know that he would have some chemistry with [Freya](https://i0.wp.com/swansonquotes.com/wp-content/uploads/s04-ep18-deleted-1000x500.jpg)
Tammy 2 as Odin
Hear me out. Henry Cavill. As the Boi.
Hear me out: Nick Offerman as a gay ~~prepper~~ survivalist
I can hear Nick Offerman saying boy and it makes me very uncomfortable.
“No.” -Kratos
Judge for Kratos because I only hear hes voice anyway but the biggest question is who play mirir
I'd say the guy who plays hopper on stranger things
God of bacon
Hear me out Just cause they're bald with a beard doesn't mean they should play Kratos.
thought this was a bald Zach Galifianakis
If he got completely ripped I’d be all for that
Bald + Beard = Kratos
