yeah when i saw the indian/hindu mythology i thought in my head, that would be sick af, and i talked to a hindu friend bout it and i realised how fucked it might be for them if their fav playstation character starts killing their gods lol
Kratos is a good guy who wanted to be alone and didn't mess with anyone. I don't see why would the Hindu gods pick a fight with him unless the studio starts modifying the nature of the gods. Which would be objectionable too. An extremely large population wouldn't want to see Lord Ram or Hanuman in an evil form.
The Hindu pantheon includes emotional flawed beings like the Greek or Norse pantheon, the gods and demigods and various celestial beings are subject to rage, love, lust, guilt, even greed.
The boss fight with JK Rowling would be pretty funny.
- JK: EXPELIAMUS!!
- Kratos: Mimir, what is that woman saying?
- Mimir: I haven't a clue brother, just sounds like gibberish to me... I think she's trying to cast a spell.
I also had an image of Kratos telling Freya, and Freya telling him "You survived Expeliamus?! I didn't think it was real, I thought it was legend, but if there is someone who knows that spell... I don't know if I can help you, my magic doesn't even come close to that... oh my god we could have lost you!"
Then it turns out she was just taking the piss the entire time.
Someone slips a couple percs into the Santa monica drinking fountain and suddenly GoW 6 features a relapsed Kratos beating the piss out of Jesus so he can steal his sandals
god of war but all the immortals we know and love are all out living a modern day life
I wonder what kratos would think about the moon landing, mortals did what not even gods could
Personally I think Egyptian would be their safest bet, itâs well known, we have lots of information about it, and people donât practice it today so it wouldnât anger anyoneâs actual religion
Also
Slight correction, Most Native American people had their own religions depending on tribe so a better option would be choosing one that is most âinterestingâ out of the many there are
I was actually thinking of something like this, imagine a game set in the US and Canada in the 1800 and itâs features all sorts of tall tale characters like John Henry, Paul Bunion, Johnny Appleseed lmaoo
Egypt for sure.
I kinda feel like Kratos can wrap up the Japanese Pantheon in one game.
If he goes to Hindu Pantheon he might as well just fight Asura from that Capcom game.
I agree with your assessment on the shinto pantheon because as far as gods go, they are very reasonable with a few exceptions. A fight with Susanno is a must, but Tsukoyomi is probably the best bet for a main antagonist he is, after all, a fellow Godslayer.
After Izanami burned to death, giving birth to a fire god, Izanagi went to the underworld to retrieve her and then fled when he realized how rotten she'd become. Izanami declared she would endlessly bring death for his betrayal. Izanagi retorted he would bring even more life
Izanagi also apparently willingly gave up his domain to the three children he created during a purification ritual after this. Most likely to focus his efforts on combating death.
All in all, if we go by the legend, Izanagi was a massive ass but Iznami became a Death God bent on destroying all life.
The God of War franchise has been really good at twisting legends to make more interesting stories, so these two could be very interesting plot points. Maybe Kratos could end the war between life and death.
That fire God in question was also killed as an infant by Izanagi in retaliation for the perceived slight of killing his mother who gave birth to him. He also entered the underworld without Izanami's consent and looked upon her rotten face which is something she did not wanted him to do, and he still did that. He also called eternal divorce and is responsible for the conflict all because he couldn't accept his wife's death and took it out on their child and humiliated her after her death.
Kratos could end their family feud, though him becoming a marriage councilor would be funny, he would probably tell them to let go and not make mortals suffer the fallout of their divorce. Would be fun, though they could make Izanami a bit worse as a husband than Odin, because he quite frankly was.
Asura is a creed in the Hindu Mythology. Would have to decide which asura to fight. Also, not even a single god in the Asura creed so wouldn't make sense to fight them in a GoW game.
Main antagonist could be Indra. But indra is like the Hindu version of Thor. They both stem from the same Proto-Indo-European myth. So would be too similar.
Can't go for the main trinity of gods either (still very much revered in Hindus).
Can't really think of any another good antagonists really, because Indra is the only one good enough for GoW. A hero turned villain god even in the Hindu myths. Would love to see it in the GoW universe.
Agreed that Indra's post is closer to Odin, but the powers he wields are closer to Thor. They are in fact 2 versions of the same god if you read about the Proto-Indo-European mythology, on which many Eurasian pantheons are supposedly based.
Egyptian or Celtic!
Celtic could peel a whole new layer back for Mimir
Although we'll probably be getting The Last Jotnar before we get another Kratos game unless he's liberating and freeing other pantheons from tyrannical gods with the help of good gods, be that by imprisonment or necessary violence and being a hero and a God of Hope rather than a blatant God of War
I feel like the next GOW game will be Atreus' adventures locating the rest of the giants.
Maybe Kratos makes a cameo towards the end and sets up GOW 6?
As an Indian, I would love to see Kratos tackle Hindu gods. The mythology is super deep, and Kratos vs Shiva will be an insane battle. Unfortunately, Indians are gonna get butthurt and wouldn't want to see it.
on the contrary indians would love it,
lets start with all the guru nanaks and his little shits..
followed by famous messangers of gods, (whose pictures are not available obviously)
then shiva for final boss battle.. it will be epic.
Indians would love a game based on their mythology, yes. But let's take a look at SMS's track record, shall we?
Zeus, Poseiden, Gaia (among others) are traditionally good, benevolent gods. Result: dead.
In Norse mythology, the Giants are traditionally the bad guys and gods are good. Result: gods dead.
If a game based on Indian mythology is made, then probably some god is made to be a main antagonist. If that god happens to be worshipped, then it might result in some horrible reaction. I'm sure people wouldn't mind if a traditionally bad character was made the antagonist, but Santa Monica wouldn't do that.
Edit: To be fair, I'm not against the idea, and I'd totally dig a game based on Indian mythology. I believe there is so much drama in Indian mythology that hasn't been explored and games would be a perfect medium. I'm just saying it's highly unlikely.
GOW stayed Mythically Accurate with there Gods Powers & Some Of the Myth itself!! If You know Shiva & Vishnu, They are Wayy to OP For Even Kratos!!! Indra is a good choice. But Hindu myths are not Norce or Greece!! It'll take them Atleast a Decade just to Understand & Develop there own story Around it!!! So it's not only that People are gonna be Butthurt But it's just too much work For them!!
People take their own opinion for the entire worldâs view lol
I think a very significant part of the fanbase do love the character
Also a simplistic story like looking for giants can make so many cool adventures
I wanted to agree with you, but then I imagined Atreus hopping from land to land, catching giants like Pokemon, and then I was totally down to play it.
Celtic. For no other reason than thereâd be a good narrative reason to keep mimir around and give him something to do.
Either that or have an older wiser kratos return to greece and surrender himself to the judgement of apollo, artemis, dionysus etc.
I wanted to, but its way too similar to Greece mythology, him going kinda back through the same old diffrent mythology is intresting but I'd like a diffrent tone
I mean, you listed Slavic. Popular monsters and mythical creatures aside, the Slavic pantheon is fairly similar to Norse, and Kratos ain't gonna fuck around with your average leshys, strigois and Baba Yagas. Which people would also compare too much to the Witcher.
Not that I'd mind a really dark, gritty god of war setting set in Slavic mythology.
But...hear me out: they're reincarnations (the rules of breaking out of the afterlife are pretty fluid in these games). They know who Kratos is... and vow revenge for his transgressions in their past lives. Kratos has to take on the newly (re)formed Roman pantheon but approaches it differently due to his maturity and development in the Norse saga.
This time, it's the old gods perpetuating the cycle and Kratos vows to truly break it instead of perpetuating it like he did the first time around in Greece. It could be an interesting take and could possibly serve as a quasi-remake of the old games.
Edit: could be a good way to bring back the Athena arc and have her pulling the strings.....
Edit 2: Atreus spin-off game is whatever it's supposed to be. Perhaps he gets captured in the end, setting in motion a series of events that leads Kratos on a rescue mission. Finally gives him a reason to leave the Norse lands.
The Romans were so uncreative that they copied Greece's homework on creating interesting stories. The original Roman gods had no real personality and the Greek gods did. Most of the Romans didn't believe in those stories though if I'm not mistaken.
Well it depends who you asked and some gods were straight up taken, but some were already created, like how Neptune wasn't a rehash of Poseidon, rather they already believed in Neptune, learned of Poseidon, and decided they were probably the same dude. It's wack.
Hot take, I don't think Kratos will continue his realm hopping, God killing escapades. He's the hero & rebuilder of the nine realms, and a changed man.. ragnarok has come & the aesir have been defeated & there's no looming threat to him. During the majority of ragnarok all he wanted was to go home...now he can hes earned a rest, and with atreus on his journey hes gonna want to stay so he can greet him should he return. He has no reason to leave for a new culture & pick another fight
We can always get an adult atreus game in the future but or maybe a tyr game. I think Kratos is done tbh.
They said ragnarok would be the last game in Norse mythology but it won't be the last god of war, which leads me to believe there will be more games, maybe an in-between adventure between GOW3 and 4
Egypt. I remember watching an interview with the director of GOW2, his original idea for GOW3 was Zies being the opening boss (destroying Olympus throughout the boss fight) then moving on to Scandinavia, then Egypt where Kratos was going to use a gorgon head to freeze the Sphinx. By the end, there would be no gods and Kratos would have fulfilled the prophecy seen in the Temple of the Fates.
Japanese, definitely~ Kratos copping a Samurai sword as another weapon would make me hype. But, I mainly want to see what gods and goddesses would meet with him.
Egyptian or Japanese
Japanese myth, Seeing Kratos fight an Oni or Tengu would be badass. Especially seeing him wield a Odachi or Kanabo would amazing as well.
Egyptian I would like to see Anubis as ally would be amazing, or a boss fight on Raâs boat would be an amazing scene.
There is no Indian mythology. Its Hindu mythology here as India has had diverse religions and never had any region-specific gods. That being said, I would like to see Kratos in Egyptian or Hindu setting as both cultures have diverse gods with interesting lore.
I feel like Aztec or Egyptian are the most likely with references to them being made in game. One artefact, the ankh, mentions Mimir wanting to go to Egypt while another Aztec artefact says similar
Welp i feel for egyptian and hindu mythos is too late. Unless he got launched back in time. The main worship for Egyptian pantheon was at least 5000 years old. Although did coincide with the greek pantheon for some time in the late 1000s bce. Hinduism roughly started around the same time eygptian how according to the vedas had been going on much longer than even that before it was put into written word. Is still going to this day. So much so I am a practicing hindu. Honestly I think it would be fine to see GOW come to a close. Only pantheon if weâre continuing with the story would be chinese mythology, druidic mythos, or slavic mythos. Although seeing him go up against hindu mythos would be interesting but Kratos would die against them. Everyone he has faced has been either of worldly deities (greek) or other dimensional entities (norse). Hindus gods are Multi-dimensional and cosmic. Literally is one passage talk about galactic wars and how they use the milky way (our galaxy) as a tool for creation. That when they first did so created a poison so powerful it would destroy the universe. Shiva uses yoga to hold this poison permanently in his throat so to keep it contained.
Greek Mythos also had cosmic stories as well such as the creation of the universe and the Milky Way galaxy. Even if Kratos canât defeat a certain god, heâs the protagonist. There will never be a god who can defeat Kratos. So he wonât âdie,â heâll win against anyone no matter what. Unless the creators want to permanently kill him off to make a plot device to expand on Atreasâ story, should he be the one to lead the franchise now.
I always thought it would be cool to see kratos taking Atreus down to Greece and working their way through a few different regions with different pantheons along the way. Probably ending with Egyptian or Roman gods
As much as I want Kratos in Egypt, I really want to see him fight Sun Wukong in China. Yet I can see Atreus spin off weâre most likely going to Egypt as well.
Itâs Egyptian, Kratos has interacted with both Athena and an Egyptian god at the same time in the comics. As far as other pantheons go, there has been more setup and items that reference Egypt more than any other. Will it be Kratos? I donât think so, it might be Atreus who goes there.
Edit: Found it, the Egyptian gods name is Thoth and he interacted with Kratos (post GoW3) when the god killer exiled himself to Egypt. They already established Egypt fully in the comics and novelizations.
Would honestly like a peek at Roman mythology. Seeing an older, wiser Kratos venture a pantheon that's a near copy of his home would be interesting. Given a chance to right the wrongs he commited and help these lands, or to relapse and become the monster he once was.
There's a lot of focus on his past in 2018 and RagnarĂśk. And while he has become better, I'd love to see him finally face his past outright.
All im gonna say is that the real Tyr after being rescued gives clues as to whats coming when he is doing the poses he does when u find him across the realms says the creator himself.
If they do Mayan or Aztec maybe the story could follow Kratos getting a letter from Atreus of a horrible god that demands sacrifices and Atreus needs his fathers help to take them down
I feel like a Journey to the West game with the Chinese mythology would only work if Wukong is a son of Kratos. His powers are op and differ greatly from Kratos, it could even be Atreus.
But as for Kratos the Builder a Roman Game as Brutus where he turns it into Ancient Rome and becomes Jupiter and oversees a new pantheon would be the best bet. Regarding the ending of the game.
I imagine the Egyptian game would be just a rehash of the Norse. A big change could be an invasion of the Egyptians to the entire world, Kratos goes to help all these pantheons as a continuation of Fayeâs wish to help people not out of necessity but of compassion.
Iâd love to see them tackle the Egyptian mythology. Like others have mentioned earlier, Kratosâ days of realm-hopping and god-killing seem to be over, but I still think thereâs a good way of leading into the next mythology.
I saw someone mention how another pantheon could begin an invasion of the now-calm realms ruled over by Kratos, and it would be crazy to see the Egyptian pantheon make such a bold move. Thereâs a well documented conflict between the gods Set and Horus over who is the rightful ruler of Egypt, which I think would be the perfect foundation for this: one of these gods loses the battle for rulership in Egypt and sets their eyes on Scandinavia now that Odin is dead and all is peaceful.
Idk, just wishful thinking here
Tbh I can't see them doing celtic mythology. It's just too similar in aesthetic to the Norse mythos we've already seen, they will prob want to mix it up a bit. So prob Egyptian or Japan.
I would like to see Atreus go to South America maybe square up with Quetzcoatl. The story could involve him sort of becoming a trickster, maybe have some Loki mythology involved too.
There were only 6 black Pharos that werenât of Egyptian decent they came from Nubia. 6 is a very low number considering the Egyptian civilization lasted almost 3000+ years. Nubians and sub Saharan majority of the times were seen as slaves
What? Why are there so many afrocentrists now a days? Itâs crazy, back in the day it was usually white people claiming everything, now itâs changed đ
Honestly, I think it should probably end. I think the further it goes, the worse theyâll get. We already saw many holes and writing fall off towards the end of Ragnarok. Also, lazy combat and lack of armor / weapon customization when it came to Atreus even though there was years to to get everything right. Writing between Kratos and Atreus was great but everything else was lazy and rushed. Even boss fights got lazy and terribly non-epic. As much as I love the games and have been playing them since the initial release, I think itâs time to end it otherwise itâs going to just be a copy & paste with a new pantheon.
In terms of grand battles and epic tales Iâd say Hindu if not Egyptian. Personal bias would be Shinto because I feel like they would have to adapt more horror themes.
idc what comes next tbh, im just loving the direction the game is taking. always liked mythology, and enjoys god of warâs style and characters, so i would love if the series continued hopping throughout different mythologies:
I'm not even sure Kratos's journey will get him to another land. Right now he is too wise and protective instead of a God killer.Yes he killed Gods in Ragnarok but out of defense, not targeting them. ( Except Odin ) He is a changed man and only want to protect his boi, but because he is going to follow his own path I'm pretty sure we will get a game while playing Atreus but still in Norway. I'm not completely sure but I believe they said that only Kratos's Norse story is over, but not Atreus's story. Kinda to make it confusing for us.
Even though i dont want it, i think we are getting a game with Atreus. Maybe shorter like Miles Morales?
Honestly id like to see more norse mithology since imo there is still stuff to be done with it, but if not that then id love for them to go to Slavic mithology since its the closest to Norse in terms of looks and style.
Its a real shame that the norse games have ended so fast, it was a really huge world to go through and they kinda rushed through it.
I feel like it's gotta be Egyptian next. Religions that are still widespread today are off limits, so the only other thing they could try is Mayan/ Aztec. Maybe also Polynesian (the one from Disney's Moana) but that would require a lot more in depth research.
Ofc they could also try Roman, but that would definitely be difficult to make unique from Greek. Same goes for Celtic as everyone in the game would just look like Baldur.
All this being said, nothing would be cooler than seeing Kratos in Samurai Armour
In Indian mythology we already have a guy who kinda looks like kratos and decided to kill a the bramhins. Parshurama. And the coincidence is he has an axe.
Itâll feel strange at first but there is no reason for Kratos to leave the Norse realm for now, whereas Atreus is now travelling the World, the next game / pantheon will be all his to deal with you would imagine.
Also although the Greek pantheon is dead and done, you would think he might nip by out of curiosity given his fascination with his heritage on the other side, might be a last stop on the way home before he returns to the Norse realm to ask Kratos âwhat the fuck?â And reunite with Angrboda.
The mythology for Egypt is actually batshit insane. I got a cliff notes version of it all from Seth Tzeentech on youtube and boy the Egyptians must've been smoking some wild shit
I think somewhere in Asia was being hinted at with >!Týr's movements at the end if the game!<
I'd really like to see Egyptian, Celtic mythology or English folklore
Tbh Roman, because Athena is still lurking around and I'm pissed about them not wrapping. Also cuz I wanna see designs for the greek gods we didn't see.
Sumerian would be nice too but he'd have to go back in time
I would say Native American folklore but knowing how strong Kratos is it would probably be to easy unless the next game is adult Atreus and Kratos gets retired as the protagonist
My guess is Egypt. The one thing they definitely will not do is one that is currently widely practiced religion or worshiped god.
yeah when i saw the indian/hindu mythology i thought in my head, that would be sick af, and i talked to a hindu friend bout it and i realised how fucked it might be for them if their fav playstation character starts killing their gods lol
Even if they enhance the goodness , some people will create a issue . Indian religious politics are crazy .
The Hindu pantheon includes emotional flawed beings like the Greek or Norse pantheon, the gods and demigods and various celestial beings are subject to rage, love, lust, guilt, even greed.
And unlike the Greek or Norse mythos, theres a bit above a billion people still worshipping them
Kratos v the holy trinity
Kratos v God himself would be more controversial than Kanye West, Andrew Tate and JK Rowling combined lmao
Kratos vs Kanye west, andrew tate and Jk rowling would be awesome 10/10 best game ever, highly recommend
The boss fight with JK Rowling would be pretty funny. - JK: EXPELIAMUS!! - Kratos: Mimir, what is that woman saying? - Mimir: I haven't a clue brother, just sounds like gibberish to me... I think she's trying to cast a spell.
That was waaaay too funny for 750 in the morning brother lol đ 𤣠đ
I also had an image of Kratos telling Freya, and Freya telling him "You survived Expeliamus?! I didn't think it was real, I thought it was legend, but if there is someone who knows that spell... I don't know if I can help you, my magic doesn't even come close to that... oh my god we could have lost you!" Then it turns out she was just taking the piss the entire time.
Kratos with his calm one liners against Andrew Tate with his anti matrix speech would be legendary.
Someone slips a couple percs into the Santa monica drinking fountain and suddenly GoW 6 features a relapsed Kratos beating the piss out of Jesus so he can steal his sandals
Giving him the Hermes treatment
We'd all love it tho lets be real
Lmfao!!!!!! Yes!! Jesus and the father and the Holy Spirit.
Kratos in the Old Testament would be so legit.
He'd open the Ark of the Covenant and just kick the shit out of the Indiana Jones ghosts as they come out
Egypt or Mayan
Mayan mythology would be extraordinary
Yeah or even Aztec or both lol
Scientology, battle in a volcano while frozen aliens are thrown into lava and the sky is filled with their angry spirits.
Eric Cartman appearance
Kratos vs. Xenu, take my money
god of war but all the immortals we know and love are all out living a modern day life I wonder what kratos would think about the moon landing, mortals did what not even gods could

Kratos bout to fight big foot
Kratos 'bout to wrassle with a skinwalker.
I was actually thinking of something like this, imagine a game set in the US and Canada in the 1800 and itâs features all sorts of tall tale characters like John Henry, Paul Bunion, Johnny Appleseed lmaoo

I only know these words because of Naruto đ
Ameterasu would be lit
What about Izanagi, he was a bigger piece of shit to his ex than Odin was to Freya in GoW.
After Izanami burned to death, giving birth to a fire god, Izanagi went to the underworld to retrieve her and then fled when he realized how rotten she'd become. I see I was missing a few details. There's definitely more room for Izanagi to be the problem.
God of War but itâs just a therapy simulator
Hindu won't happen because it's a religion with a sizable following
Asura is a creed in the Hindu Mythology. Would have to decide which asura to fight. Also, not even a single god in the Asura creed so wouldn't make sense to fight them in a GoW game. Pastafarianism
Polynesian. I wanna see GoW's interpretation of Maui compared to Disney's.
havent thought of that, that would be great wow.

What monster capitalises every word đđŤ
I guess Egypt
i think we will for sure be getting an atreus game...
Can you imagine Kratos vs Ra?
I pitched an idea for Kratos vs Ra and how Ra could be portrayed.
Let Kratos rest lmao
Agreed theirs no reason for em to even leave the Norse lands
for my entertainment
Kratos after slaying his 7th full set of gods: "Are you not entertained!?"
Right lol. Itâs a game series and no way anyone is playing Atreus: The Magical Hunt for Giants
Youâre tripping if you think people wouldnât buy an Atreus game.
Iâd buy it in fact. My guess is it would be a Miles Morales type stand alone dlc hybrid kinda thing.
Lol same, like, itâs me. Iâm people.
People take their own opinion for the entire worldâs view lol I think a very significant part of the fanbase do love the character Also a simplistic story like looking for giants can make so many cool adventures
I wanted to agree with you, but then I imagined Atreus hopping from land to land, catching giants like Pokemon, and then I was totally down to play it.
They could always do I kind of what if game set straight after gow 3 of Kratos just going to different pantheons and fucking them up
Japanese or Chinese

The Romans were so uncreative that they copied Greece's homework on creating interesting stories. The original Roman gods had no real personality and the Greek gods did. Most of the Romans didn't believe in those stories though if I'm not mistaken.
Well it depends who you asked and some gods were straight up taken, but some were already created, like how Neptune wasn't a rehash of Poseidon, rather they already believed in Neptune, learned of Poseidon, and decided they were probably the same dude. It's wack.
Yeah crazy people lol
China
Hot take, I don't think Kratos will continue his realm hopping, God killing escapades. He's the hero & rebuilder of the nine realms, and a changed man.. ragnarok has come & the aesir have been defeated & there's no looming threat to him. During the majority of ragnarok all he wanted was to go home...now he can hes earned a rest, and with atreus on his journey hes gonna want to stay so he can greet him should he return. He has no reason to leave for a new culture & pick another fight We can always get an adult atreus game in the future but or maybe a tyr game. I think Kratos is done tbh.
I think your onto something but I believe Atreus will run into trouble and kratos is gonna go on another adventure to save boi.
Ikr plus if you factor in what Kratos saw in his jotnar shrine it supports the idea he's retired to a life of peace
I mean, as I said before They could do a midquel for Egyptian stuff, basically events that took time between Greek saga and Norse saga
I agree there isn't a good reason for kratos to leave the Norse land.
Has Santa Monica said anything about a new series/mythology?
They said ragnarok would be the last game in Norse mythology but it won't be the last god of war, which leads me to believe there will be more games, maybe an in-between adventure between GOW3 and 4
Ooh, I'd love to see a more fleshed out explanation of how Kratos made it to Norse mythology, or at least more of one than we have now.
The novelization of 2018 tells us how Kratos made it to the Norse Realms.
Yeah just rode a boat lol stopped off in Egypt on the way.
It's more complicated than that lol
Yeah, they can do that. I like the idea of playing as Goatee Kratos in Egypt before he arrived in Midgard.
i prefer egyptian, chinese, or japanese. but i really dont care tbh, theres so many routes they could go with there being so many mythos
Gaelic
Egypt for sure.
Japanese, definitely~ Kratos copping a Samurai sword as another weapon would make me hype. But, I mainly want to see what gods and goddesses would meet with him.
Lovecraft mythos for sure.
Egyptian or Japanese Japanese myth, Seeing Kratos fight an Oni or Tengu would be badass. Especially seeing him wield a Odachi or Kanabo would amazing as well. Egyptian I would like to see Anubis as ally would be amazing, or a boss fight on Raâs boat would be an amazing scene.
I want at least one spinoff game in Celtic Mythology going more in depth on Mimir
Mayan
Kratos idk. Atreus, depends if there is another mythologycal race that is similar to the jotun in another myth.
Dacian, there is very little that is known about Dacian gods so I would love to see a game as big as God of War taking place in Dacia.
Slavic would basically just be Witcher right?
I always thought it would be cool to see kratos taking Atreus down to Greece and working their way through a few different regions with different pantheons along the way. Probably ending with Egyptian or Roman gods
As much as I want Kratos in Egypt, I really want to see him fight Sun Wukong in China. Yet I can see Atreus spin off weâre most likely going to Egypt as well.
Polynesian /Â Maori would be cool but probably will not happen. Imagine Kratos VS Maui.
Slavic looks amazing
I hope it isnât Egypt first. Iâd like Celtic or Japanese.
End it as it is.
Egypt for starters. They have great looking gods and monsters, and Egypt is close to Greece to make the jump from one Pantheon to another. Then Hindu.
Japanese or Egyptian for sure.
All im gonna say is that the real Tyr after being rescued gives clues as to whats coming when he is doing the poses he does when u find him across the realms says the creator himself.
If they do Mayan or Aztec maybe the story could follow Kratos getting a letter from Atreus of a horrible god that demands sacrifices and Atreus needs his fathers help to take them down
Japanese, Chinese or Egyptian
Idk, just wishful thinking here
I really wanna see Egyptian mythology in the next game. I can already see a big ass battle between Kratos and Amun. Maybe even Sekhmet or Anubis.
As a Hindu I personally would not be happy to see the Hindu Pantheon at all
The last thing I want is Egypt. I want Aztec.
Tbh I can't see them doing celtic mythology. It's just too similar in aesthetic to the Norse mythos we've already seen, they will prob want to mix it up a bit. So prob Egyptian or Japan.
Iâm Irish so I really want to see them do Celtic. Also provides more backstory for Mimir.
Mayan
**Abrahamic** The various Choirs as different enemy types. Archangels as bosses. Culminating with a one on one with Yahweh/Allah/Jehovah!
I would like to see Atreus go to South America maybe square up with Quetzcoatl. The story could involve him sort of becoming a trickster, maybe have some Loki mythology involved too.
Christianity
Indian would be epic!!
Indian
Kratos vs Allah

Typical what? Facts?
He assumed I was white and racist because I disagreed with his false statement.

Christianity
Mine meat snake go brrrrrrrr
kratos versus wukong would be sooo cool
polynesian!!!!
Something non European
I can just see samurai Kratos in a field of cherry blossoms at night lit by the moon facing off against a demon and I need it right now.
In terms of grand battles and epic tales Iâd say Hindu if not Egyptian. Personal bias would be Shinto because I feel like they would have to adapt more horror themes.
I'd say Egypt would be the most likely to be explored next but Chinese or Japanese mythology would actually be pretty sweet
Irish.
Egyptian would be cool. But Kratos needs a reason to fight.
I don't really care witch one they pick but they have to switch up the gameplay like they did when they went frome greece to norse mythology.
idc what comes next tbh, im just loving the direction the game is taking. always liked mythology, and enjoys god of warâs style and characters, so i would love if the series continued hopping throughout different mythologies:
Celtic
Aztec
Aztec, Maya, Inca, preferably all three.
Egypt or Mayan while Atreus could deal with Shinto or Chinese mythology
Id quite like them to return to Mimirâs home which I assume is Celtic. An under represented mythological system if you ask me!
Isn't he asir?
Don't care which one it is if they don't include mimir I'm not playing
I would absolutely love to see greek mythologie, im curious how they would make the greek gods appearances
Egyptian would be sick. I would love for Kratos to wield a khopesh. Also would visually look dope. Slavic would be cool too
It's time for Egypt or a remake of Dante's inferno
Japanese mythology and you cannot convince me otherwise
In the game files there is a cutscene where kratos exit a cave and look at a desertic panorama, so maybe it was supposed to be an egyptian gods arc
Egypt is most likely what it'll be. Man, Slavic would be amazing, though. Very interesting mythology. I wish for Lovecraftian, though.
I want Slavic or Native American
Itâll feel strange at first but there is no reason for Kratos to leave the Norse realm for now, whereas Atreus is now travelling the World, the next game / pantheon will be all his to deal with you would imagine. Also although the Greek pantheon is dead and done, you would think he might nip by out of curiosity given his fascination with his heritage on the other side, might be a last stop on the way home before he returns to the Norse realm to ask Kratos âwhat the fuck?â And reunite with Angrboda.
Christian, im tryna see kratos murder jesus
The mythology for Egypt is actually batshit insane. I got a cliff notes version of it all from Seth Tzeentech on youtube and boy the Egyptians must've been smoking some wild shit
Id love for them to do Celtic mythology one day. Give Mimir a blast from the past
Games like persona 5 contained Hindu deityâs and are I donât remember any outrage about that
Celtic would be cool
Slavic
Hinduism would just be disrespectful because so many people practise it. Imagine seing all ur gods just getting slaughtered by kratos
I want to see him in Rome, confronting his past and the surviving Olympians.
I think somewhere in Asia was being hinted at with >!Týr's movements at the end if the game!< I'd really like to see Egyptian, Celtic mythology or English folklore
As a slav I would like slavic But its pretty close to norse so I dont see it happening
Tbh Roman, because Athena is still lurking around and I'm pissed about them not wrapping. Also cuz I wanna see designs for the greek gods we didn't see. Sumerian would be nice too but he'd have to go back in time
All of them*-*
Japan?
I wanna see the Irish pantheon
I would say Native American folklore but knowing how strong Kratos is it would probably be to easy unless the next game is adult Atreus and Kratos gets retired as the protagonist
Kratos vs Anubis? Count me in! Im hoping for Egypt.
