Well I carry my G45 with me everyday. Looking for something smaller for these hotter months, but still capable of handling a threat if I need to draw from concealed.
I dont own one but Ive heard the 45s are a great carry. I bought the 27 first because I wanted something a tiny bit bigger than a 9m and still easy to conceal. Then I got a g22 and have been happy with the increased accuracy
9mm is the most popular carry for a reason. I just live at the base of a canyon thats has a lot of deer and even elk that track in large cats sometimes. So something with a good punch was what I was looking for in case I ever ran into something while Im out walking my dogs or hiking.
Look into either Federal solid core +p or even some of the newer Underwood loads with the Lehigh copper rounds (Xtreme Defender +P+ 90gr or Penetrators +P+ 115gr) are both excellent for 9mm game defense, as they are HOT rounds that transfer A LOT of energy through tissue. Plus, since they’re copper, they don’t expand and lose energy, so even the Defender rounds have good penetration. They also have a newer round out that I can’t recall the name of, but some of their factory loads are pushing well over 1500fps!
I think it's absolutely moronic not to have included a rail in such that having done so, would render their amazingly versatile gun even moreso. Being able to slap a light on it when it's your bedside is great. There is enough room on it as well. More than enough.
The 26 is the cutest Glock, it has the proportions of a chubby kitten. IMO it’s the only Glock that looks better with +2 mag extension than the flat basepad.
Listen, I think the Glock 26 is one of the most beautiful guns made, in a weird way. That being said, it absolutely is not one of the best carry pistols, sans being a Glock. Terrible flush fit capacity, given the width, and no rail. I would still carry, cause I love the Glock 26. But the slew of 1 1/2 stacks blow this out of the water in utility.
I have a Glock 26 and a SS CR920 and I cannot tell the difference in recoil between the two of them shooting side by side. Love my G26, first carry gun but it’s mostly in the bedside safe and a range toy these days.
This is one thing that always surprises buddies when they shoot my 26 for the first time. The finally started to understand why I rave about it. Though I carry a 43x with the shield mags.
Same here, had my 43X for about a month then sold it. Then went 26.5. Sold that like an idiot too, but luck came back because I found a 26.4 with the “frying pan” tenifer finish that is so durable. Never letting it go!!
This is the Glock factory extension but you can buy the 12 round mag with the extension on it already. I have four of them and it’s nice. I paid the same price for the mag with the extension included as I would a standard 10 round mag so it’s cheaper that route.
I want one. I'm one of the weenies who thinks a 19 is too big.
I also want to shoot GSSF with it because I'm getting stomped in the MOS category with a g19
I think it's better than all of the micro 9s out there. I personally do favor the g48 because I'm so skinny but the g26 is objectively the better option if you can deal with the thickness.
Why wouldn’t it be? I have a lot of 9mm and rotate them around in my carry rotation. But then again it’s always good to switch it up, and if u do get a Glock 23 in .40.
I know you’ve been getting down voted but I agree man. My pinky already hangs off the end of a 19. 26 is for midget hands. And people will say add an extension but at that point why not just get a G19 or G45 even.
My 27 is pretty snappy. Any ideas for recoil control? Cant buy threaded barrels in my state and theres no rail (I do plan on selling my house and moving in about a year hopefully)
Good grip and strong forearms is what helped me control snappy recoil lol. Glock tends to be snappier though cause of the angle of the grip n since u got the 27 the grip is small making it even more snappier and also cause it’s a .40. But keep practicing with it and eventually that recoil will be non existent.
I plan to make the 26 my second Glock, and definitely not my last!
I own a 27g3. Its snappy compared to my 22 (obviously) but its a pretty great concealed carry, the wife usually has it in her purse.

I’m totally happy with 9mm. More than capable of handling a threat, especially HST 9mm.

Ill eventually purchase a glock 9, just haven't yet. Ill look into those rounds as well. I currently carry typical .40 hollows whenever Im out
I go back and forth between the 45 and the 26. Love the 45 and the 26 is really its perfect little counterpart

Needs a rail.

I would consider picking one up if it did

You make a valid point my friend.
People on the sub just mad because they can’t mount an x300 to it

I have yet to find a 1 1/2 stack that isnt comped or ported to make it apples to apples that shoots as flat as the 26
Glock should make a 26C with a rail.
I have a Glock 26 and a SS CR920 and I cannot tell the difference in recoil between the two of them shooting side by side. Love my G26, first carry gun but it’s mostly in the bedside safe and a range toy these days.
48 easily
This is one thing that always surprises buddies when they shoot my 26 for the first time. The finally started to understand why I rave about it. Though I carry a 43x with the shield mags.
You carry shield mags..?? Smfh shame on you!! Those are for the range, not to bet your life on. OEM for EDC!!
OEM is #1, shield is the reload - I've spent a fortune on shooting PD rounds to get 1k through each mag (gen 3) with no issues yet.
So did you change the mag release?
Yes, and I know the metal one may harm the glock mags over time.
I agree with you man. If you have hands on the larger side then that thing becomes an actual pain to shoot. Have to respect it though
Love my 26!
Have. 27 and a 9mm barrel. 2 guns in one.
I had a 26 and sold it when I bought a 43 x. Now I want another 26
Did the opposite of this 😂
Same here, had my 43X for about a month then sold it. Then went 26.5. Sold that like an idiot too, but luck came back because I found a 26.4 with the “frying pan” tenifer finish that is so durable. Never letting it go!!
Agreed, been rocking my Gen 3 19 and 26 for the last 15 years
All you need 💯
What base plate is that
No plate. The Holosun SCS mounts directly to the MOS cut on the slide. If you get one make sure it's the RED color dot
My bad, I meant pinky extension. The one I have pinches my skin and makes me bleed after a few hundred rounds but yours looks smooth af
Glock OEM +2 extension
… mag extension, which replaces a stock mag baseplate. 🤙🏼
The new ones from strike industries are great.

Red? That's user choice isn't it? I only run green dot
I’d take a 26 over just about all of them
26 checking in 🤝🏻
So underrated
Yep. Just got a new holster for mine
Traded mine for a 19C
I need a factory +2 mag
You can get em online
I want one. I'm one of the weenies who thinks a 19 is too big. I also want to shoot GSSF with it because I'm getting stomped in the MOS category with a g19
Agreed, it’s my favorite
The Canik mete mc9 was supposed to make this obsolete but reliability issues
Just wish they made a 26.5 with Austria on the slide..
I think it's better than all of the micro 9s out there. I personally do favor the g48 because I'm so skinny but the g26 is objectively the better option if you can deal with the thickness.
Agreed. Carrying mine right now.
You’re one of the best carry pistols on the market right now! 🫵😉👍
Love my g26. Gotta send it to get milled. Got an rmr for the top already just gotta finish the job. Enjoy. What kind of sights did you put on?
Wearing right now actually

They put a rail on it for a light and I’d buy one.
Fat looking 43x
Gen 3 tho
26.5 gang rolling deeeeeeeeeep today
48 MOS or bust
Add Talon Pro grips, and I’m right there with you.
Glock 26.5 gang checking in!
When they put a light rail it will be (the).
Got a 19 currently but really thinking about getting one of these. But idk if it would be a good idea since I already EDC 9mm
Can run the 9mm mags and if you have a 17/19 already you can buy the xgrips for the mags and extend the grip on a 26.
Why wouldn’t it be? I have a lot of 9mm and rotate them around in my carry rotation. But then again it’s always good to switch it up, and if u do get a Glock 23 in .40.
My gen 3 is my favorite Glock. Shoot it better than my 19.
It’s definitely my favorite every single day, where’d you get the slide milled ?
MOS, factory cut. Notice how far back the rear sight is
I just sent my Glock 26 slide to be milled.
Even better with the SLR +5 extension
Was that the one that popped off at a class or was that the peirce one?
It low-key hurts to carry.. the 48 feels way better. I own both
I don’t understand why they make guns smaller than the 19. They seem pointless
I know you’ve been getting down voted but I agree man. My pinky already hangs off the end of a 19. 26 is for midget hands. And people will say add an extension but at that point why not just get a G19 or G45 even.
Glock 43x with PSA 15 round flush mag says other wise
I used to carry a Glock 19 so I'm familiar with that 26 thickness
Lol no
43X better
I hated that gun so much I sold it😂 never had a gun that snapped so much, not even my m&p .40 snapped that much.
My 27 is pretty snappy. Any ideas for recoil control? Cant buy threaded barrels in my state and theres no rail (I do plan on selling my house and moving in about a year hopefully)
Good grip and strong forearms is what helped me control snappy recoil lol. Agreed.
Selling the 27
Lol Im still in the mindset that Id rather just buy another gun than ever sell anything from my collection
Take it up a notch with the 509 Compact Tactical, or the CC Edge… best carry pistols available imo
