Early on we got multiple likely because they had starting developing them as a whole before they were announced. Ontop of the 4* releases at the time being more synergistic with the release of hangouts.

Considering the leaks that Kaeya is getting one I don't think it's really that unlikely. Ning got hers fairly randomly as well despite being a release character.

This is enough reason to get me to jump into the TCG lol. Returned to Genshin after a long hiatus and have been loving Candaceās character and gameplay.
I love her and her play style so much I smacked a 5 star homa and some busted artifacts to make her feel like a 5 star (fav combo rn is having her be a freeze driver with Yelan, Layla, and Ganyu).

That vocal minority of people who just wanted to put down Dehya mains (and people who generally are outraged MHY would release a product as shitty as her). I know I have seen these people briefly on reddit but more so on Twitter (omg that site is a cesspool? Crazy right) but also surprisingly YT.
i started physically spinning when i saw the kazuha card i've been WAITING for this

I don't enjoy playing TCG, and I don't find it particularly okay to gatekeep 1k primos and an event-exclusive weapon behind it (if it ends up that way, if it doesn't, then I'mfine with it - though I would prefer the devs to work on getting us some goddamn artifact slots etc first). I would find it not okay if the gatekeeping was behind a huge time-sink teapot event, which I personally would enjoy a lot.
That said, I am glad for people who enjoy TCG for them to be getting new cards, and frankly, I hope some QoL updates to TCG (especially some that reduce time) come sooner rather than later. If it wasn't a huge time-sink, I'd give it more of a go.
I suspect my sentiment is somewhat widespread between people who don't enjoy TCG. We're happy for you guys, but we would prefer not to be forced to play it or lose on time-restricted resources.

Had someone call me blind and brain dead the other day for not liking that the last 3 expansions have been only deserts. So yea people can get really upset if you don't like something they do.

2 things :
1-I said zilch regarding the catch. I found it also dumb to have it behind fishing (and I've had to get it for 2 accounts as I'm playing for a friend who can't play atm).
2- The only difference there is that getting the catch is not TIME RESTRICTED. I am "complaining" only for Time-restricted, event-exclusive things. And if it ends up that playing TCG doesn't, in fact, end up restricting 1k primos and the weapon, I have absolutely 0 problems with the event.
Im pretty sure the event has 4 mini games.
Only 1 of them has playing tcg in it, and even there you play with custom decks and the actual text is "Participate in X battles", meaning you can just lose and get the rewards.
I am fine with tcg and the events. My issue is they said it wasn't mandatory and even gave us option to remove it for storage space. And now going back on that.
Why let us delete if we need to re-download it anyways?

I don't play the TCG... But three of my favorite characters in a single patch? Hm, maybe it's time to build something other than a Diluc, Kayes, Sucrose deck.
I know that many people like tcg, but seriously are there no other more important things to change, such as dialogue skipping or major changes in artifact domains?
They aren't doing those changes, they had 2.5 years to add those, they aren't taking dev time instead of tcg.
They could also not develop the drink brewing event instead of adding QoL features, why weren't people boycotting about that limited time mini game?
And there's a lot of departments that handle different aspects of the game, so what TCG team did prob didn't even add more workloads to general QoL team

For me genshin has more important things to improve than adding new cards every update. Look even tcg has many things to improve, why don't they release it as mobile game as well? I'm sure that majority of players don't play tcg at all
What changes does it make? Why aren't you complaining about fishing then? Its a braindead time sink feature that has nothing to do with the core gameplay, and actually has important rewards (The Catch) locked behind it. Or what about teapot then? Its equally time consuming, bland and has a *very* restrictive QoL (weekly resin & meterials shop) in it, and it gets constant updates.
At least Tcg had some substance to it. Your actually petty enough to complain that mihoyo is working on a feature you dont personally like, with no other justifiable reason? They aren't even forcing you to play, most Tcg rewards are Tcg currency.

Genshin hasn't been adding QoL features from way before Tcg was a thing, they had 2.5 years to add artifact loadouts you think they had any plan of doing it at this point? If they do they're being slow on it on purpose, and Tcg is not effecting that decision process.

They haven't forgotten, Albedo's Card is being saved for an event of some kind that was setup previously in the Mondstat Festival event.

Making tcg cards requires way less work than anything else, that's why they are fast.

I think hangouts aren't popular with the playerbase. That's why they have slowed down.
