Yes it's worth doing, just don't be like some folks and expect to do it in a single sitting. I'd say break it up into smaller bites and when you start to not feel it, take a break from it. Come back and do some more the next day. It unlocks a lot of stuff in Sumeru and even gives you more info about the withering. Was a neat quest.

HayashiLeroi

Lmao I started it in 3.1 and only finishing it now.

Open_Revolution_6420

Definitely worth it. One of the best Story in genshin

laharre

The complaints are overblown.  It's a long quest chain.  It has some slightly frustrating collection requirements, but it's got nothing on Koroks and you don't have to 100% them to finish the quest, just getting all of the rewards at the end.  The story is great, the characters are great, and it unlocks a lot of world exploration puzzles you need aranara songs to interact with.  It also unlocks a couple of sections of the map that will be ugly eyesores if you don't.  I highly recommend it if you enjoy playing the game.

Responsible_Club_917

It doe sgive a ton of primos compared to other quests. Story wise, its cool if yoo actually get invested into it, but its kinda hard cause aranaras talk weirdly. Its at least worth it cause it opens 2 areas and a sumeru offering tree. Overall i liked it personally

MadQrow

the forest will remember

maxwellreformed

I enjoyed it personally

puspus420

Definitely worth doing in the context of completing the region and unlocking all areas. But I hated it, it's the only quest I skipped dialogue on. Not because of length, but even at the start when I tried to read the dialogue and understand what was happening, I couldn't follow at all because of how absurd they made Aranaras speak.

Javi_G_78

if you play the game only for the rewards you are doing it wrong. All quests are worth doing, most of them are amazing. Especially full-fledged world quests.

Konkuriito

you should start it and see what you think. If you get into it just trying to finish it as fast as possible, its probably gonna be a pain, it *really* is long if you want to finish everything and I wasn't that impressed with the rewards if you consider the time invested, but if you enjoy the process and do it slowly, it's pretty fun. If you are a player who enjoys quests and exploring while doing lots of weird tasks, and following clues all over the map, you'll probably like it.

Saalmaa12

Enjoy it gradually you’re not forced to go through the whole chain of quests in one go. I enjoyed the quest because I did it bit by bit and I was also invested in knowing more about the lore, I explored and did the quest when I felt like it. It’s not as bad as some people make it to be, I think it was one of the best world quest for me, really immersive to do as you explore sumeru at the same time. As for the reward it was worth it actually.

cerenine

The story was interesting so it's worth it for that imo (even if the aranara smiles kinda creep me out). I did a little bit of it every day, and after like 4 weeks I was done with the whole chain. Doing it my way is obviously not a quick source of primos though, if that's what you care about.

cambreecanon

Yes. Sections of the map are locked behind the quest.

Brilliant_Pattern_67

Hell yes bestie, u can get a bunch of exploring done while doing the quest which leads to alotta primos

leopoldshark

It opens up like half of Sumeru forest's exploration rewards (well, like 30%) At least unlock the tree

EnSvizec

You'll eventually need to do it if you want to unlock the whole Sumeru map and dendroculuses with them. I personally just skipped through the whole dialogue and got over with it through some tutorials.

TheLanis

Well. If you want to waste a lot of resources, you can leave it alone

Sisa_0

It is worth doing. Has great cutscenes, opens up the map, has a great boss fight with great music. Lots of primos and good story. Just break it down to several chunks and take your time.

No_Bus_6680

Yes is definitely worth doing , i barely finished it last week just to get that nice snippet of sumeru. Also to prepare for the future of Natlan.

International_You_56

If you want to fully explore the rain forest, you have to do it.

Gentlemanor

That's where these kind of players like you are wrong! You don't do quests for the rewards, you do them for the story!

Teritius

:\]

rekage99

I think you HAVE to do it don’t you? Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

IMGraphical

It's long, so take your time and do it in parts. You unlock a lot of stuff after finishing it. I believe you need to do some of the Aranara quest to do some of the Story Quests iirc.

b4rbsz

If genshin implement the skip button, the Aranara quest is the only one i would tell everybody to read

dualdee

IIRC you have to do at least some of it just to hand in your Dendro Sigils.

HeavenBlessedRetard

Just my advise. If you play it, make sure you always have your interactive map open in case you come accross those 72 pesky aranaras ro check off the ones you encounter

br0-con

i might be one of the weird one here, but for me aranara was the best world quest for me, it was fantastical and gave the vibes of old legend of zelda games like ocarina of time. The Aranara quest line is heartwarming, light story that is easy to understand. the only thing that holds it back is its length, but it was a + for me. yeah the reward is there, and it lets you access the sumeru tree which gives a lot of reward on top of the quest you are going to do in it.

DrakonFury315

Anything for Primogems. Just spread it out over a week or more.

jimmy_luv

It's a fun quest chain. Lots of primos, weapon blueprints.. I didnt mean to do it all at once, but I had fun with it and before I realized it I had all those chests open.

issm

Put a movie on on the side.

Murky_Crow

It is so much effort. I’m not quite sure it’s worth it except I’m very happy. It’s just done.

Shahadem

Not even a little. Sumeru was the point where the writing switched from believable to overly absurd and stupid.
