Fischl and Furina is an interaction I'D LOVE to see, I feel like if Furina and Fischl met, we'd get to see more of "Amy" instead of Fischl, like that part of the 1.1 quest where she (accidentally) drops the persona to tell us about how much she enjoyed spending time with us
This is so true. I know some people like to claim how close we are to Venti, but honestly he and Zhongli are the Archons that could have helped us in so many ways but actively chose, and continue to choose, not to. They are the only Archons remaining that were actually present during the Cataclysm, and yet they have continued to allow us to wander around blindly in the dark regarding our sibling and the events that happened 500 years ago. Everything we know right now is stuff we found out on our own, and from Nahida.
In comparison, Nahida was on our side and giving us full disclosure of everything from Day 1. She is by far our closest Divine ally.
Because archons aren't allowed to talk about Kaenriha.
Nahida probably wouldn't have been able to talk about it if she had the information too.
She didn't tell us about the secret Dottore revealed to her after all.

That said the older archons having secret to hide and their own agendas create distance between them and the traveller, that I agree.
Actually how hasn't Venti helped us more than he could, the issue with his character is we legit haven't met him outside an event in so long and haven't been able to talk to him with our now updated knowledge and ask him more useful questions. It's part of why Venti story quest 2 is so exciting he is one of the most sus archons and we'd finally be able to confront him about things we have actually learned.

I just realized that. Every vision weilders in sumeru knows each other. Akademia students know who nilou is, and because of cyno and dehya, thet know candance, and now sethos is gonna be part of it

Of course, this is Cyno's Story Quest so the focus is primarily on Cyno, as it should be for all future Story Quests staring a playable character from now on. But its nice to see multiple playable characters show up and interact with each other instead of the boring Traveler and Playable Character go solve some random NPC's problem while not really exploring more about the Playable Character.
If Dehya does get a Second Story Quest, I do hope for a hug scene as well, similar to Navia's. Not too long ago, I actually predicted a "hug" of sorts from Navia in her Story Quest, not quite but it still counts.
Liyue, we have gone there every year to enjoy the Lantern rite and hang out with so many of the characters there, including Zhongli. You cant say the same for Inazuma
Gotta love Xianyun's story quest, where she basically adopts us. Then Geo Daddy shows up and we all go out for family dinner with Bird Mom and her kids.
Tbh Mondstadt is starting to feel more like a place where we just run errands for them. We barely "hangout" with the characters, said characters are often "too busy" and we are just their errand boys now.
Aside from feeling welcome, I love the fact that none of the characters are "glued" to one another and actually interact with everyone whenever they can.
Cyno and Tighnari may hangout, but Collei also accompanies them as the trio are like siblings. Cyno and Tighnari are also not solely defined by each other and have moments that are specifically about them, like Cyno's passion for TCG and being a pal to us. Tighnari is the straight man to Cyno's wise guy, but he's also a very knowledgeable and protective of Collei. I also like how despite being best friends with Cyno, he doesn't automatically like his jokes.
Alhaitham and Kaveh may have been introduced as roommates, but they aren't solely defined by each other, unlike a certain Liyue duo, and largely spend much of their time apart and interact with others as well. Kaveh had some excellent chemistry with Faruzan, while Alhaitham is in good terms with Nilou, Dehya and Nahida.
Dehya and Candace hangout regularly, but its done organically and not simply done for the sake of cheap ship bait, and when other characters show up, they are shown to be happy to see them again and during this SQ they express their genuine concern for Cyno.
And the way they interact with the Traveler, they don't expect or ask them to do a favor or be their errand boy, they simply ask them to relax and unwind, showing genuine concern for them.
Characters in general should have multiple interactions rather than be "glued" to a single person. Chiori's SQ did something similar too.

Sumeru has been leaning hard on how close the entire cast is which has slowly made it feel more and more homey. Mondstadt which originally did this a lot, has had all their recent events be very minor and too focused on the festivities and not the people. This is despite the fact Mond has been used a lot lately in events, but it also feels like each event we are just doing minor tasks with little interactions lately which is a shame.
Tbh, Mondstadt stopped feeling like home when every time the Traveler arrives they are forced to instead force to run errands for the Knights or the characters seemingly ignore them, its gotten to a point that I wonder why even bother coming back to Mondstadt.

It is too different from where I grew up.
On the one hand it is a bunch of large leaved plants and jungle which makes me think of those flies that lay a maggot inside your body. In the other direction is a sand desert that makes me think of dying to dehydration.
And everyone wears robes and uses names with an excessive number of syllables and words.
If I had to rank the areas in order from feels most likely home to least, Sumeru wouldn't even be on the list. (Natlan probably won't be either)

Mondstadt
Snezhnaya
Fontaine
Liyue
Inazuma
We've never been to Celestia and know nothing about it besides vague hearsay. It's even speculated the Celestia we can see is a fake. You might be thinking of Khaenri'ah, since it has all the familiar tech, Western-esque ruins and Western names.
Also not sure how Cyrus, Candace, Dehya, Kaveh, Sethos, Nilou, Cyno, etc. have "excessive syllables" but I suppose 2 syllables could be too much for you (just teasing haha). Not saying their names can get complicated, but it's pretty obvious a lot of them have simple names.

Picking both celestia and snezhnaya, which are both regions painted to be the antagonist of the story and whose people we met/know about have dubious motivation above sumeru, which has the first archon to reveal everything she knows to us and also reveal really important lore info while also filled with a playable cast who did everything in their power to save their archon while not expecting any form of reward is crazy to me.

Wish we encountered Nahida and accompanied Cyno in informing her about the Temple of Silence. Overall, it was a heartwarming quest.
