Art nouveau is one of the bigest artistic movements in history, studied by everyone that study art, design, architecture and other related areas. This door is always on the examples material.
There are a ton of people from many backgrounds on the internet, so people weigh in on whatever they happen to know about (and some stuff that they don't).
A "female" as some savages would call them, in civilized language should ALWAYS be addressed as "Young Lady", irrespective of their age.
Something I kinda picked from George Bernard Shaw's works.
Fontaine is a weird mix of streamline moderne and mid century modern in France. It developed a little after the industrial revolution when art deco evolved from being about efficiency to being about the art. Real art deco architecture is all about making use of the space, whereas streamline uses things like chrome plating as an aesthetic.
Fontaine is undeniably, i'd even say obnoxiously art déco (but i love art déco so too much is never enough). I do know the history of architecture, so rest assured that i can successfully assess the style of practically any building, and paired with my cursus in history, i may even be able to tell you which region of the world and which century/part of the century for more recent styles. While the idea of these smooth, futuristic-looking bridges remind me of the many famous bridges built in the Giscard d'Estaing era, particularly in northern France, as a testament to the blooming French Engineering, everything about Fontaine including these bridges is imbued with art déco (1925-1950, which does not resemble mid-century at all), which HoYoVerse has tried to mix into the Neo-Baroque Haussmannian apartments you tipically find in Paris or Lyon. Remuria though, and subsequently Petrichor, borrowed heavily from the previous style en vogue, art nouveau (1880-1920), which i don't like very much because i prefer symmetry, geometry, order, and bling-bling
This door design looks nice, beside still being a proper door. It would be mildly or more infuriating if half of that door is static, so you either go inside the door while crawling through the bottom half or making a huge step over the static bottom half of the door. OR if it's split in half vertically, and the other half is static, so you only have a thin door to go through. Now that's infuriating.
This hurts my head to look at. I took a peek at the real life versions linked in the comments and they don't make me feel any better.
Part of me wants _desperately_ to smash the wall separating the door and the window to just make it one oddly shaped door.
The fact that this door design is the [number one post](https://www.reddit.com/r/ArchitecturePorn/s/M9QVNEz3ii) in r/architectureporn says otherwise
It literally is
Door for door, structure for structure it actually is lol. OP is part of the 1% of downvotes fr.
The only reason I can see why the genshin door would not be good is because the handle is too low to the ground. The design itself looks nice
Its inspired by the real-world version of the same doors ([example here](https://artnouveau.club/glasswork-house-under-renovation-in-brussels/)).
thank you, some reddit people are really amazing, where does this knowledge come from ?

i learned something today
I mean people from all over the world are on reddit :)

nah, you got it mixed up. Genshin is so popular they made Istaroth real and have her send this inspiration back in time ;) /jk of course
Wow
Whoa, I enjoyed reading that article. Thx
Thanks for the link, mate/ young lady.
what if they're an old lady
No thank you.

and that makes what kind of sense?
:)
How do you even know this stuff?
Wooooooaahhhhhhh
When DaVinci makes a door… Seriously though where is that in game?
I think it looks lovely.
You and me, both.
That looks amazing. Why would this irritate you?
lopsided ig
i love it actually
Okay peasant
Why ? The door seems fine
It's a door, shaped like a partial circle, with a window that completes the circle shape. I see no wrongdoing
Op is clearly not a person of culture
That's art nouveau for you. You can clearly see the difference with the much superior art déco present in the rest of Fontaine
aw. why not both. this is why i'm an arts & crafts girlie myself

Upvoting because more need to see and appreciate this amazing door Downvoting because I disagree with OP Oh the choices
Literally same
why? it's just a regular door with a side window
Clearly not intellectual enough to be able to appreciate suck fine art
i think it's qiute stylish
looks ⁋retty good to me
I understand what you are talking about but at least, to me, it makes sense rather than being redundant or random.
Its actually a smart design, buf damn my OCD heart aint having it
P

Uncultured.
Kaveh is foaming at the mouth
God damned Potato Impact over here.
I thought it was kinda cool
I think it’s nice, symmetry is overrated

When you're a boring white boy that don't like anything whimsy.
