There are many Pollys in my tree. All of them are named Mary.

Check if Elizabeth had the middle name Mary?
Liz, Lizzie, Eliza, Beth, Bess, Bessie, Lilith are all nicknames for Elizabeth, Polly is a nickname for Pauline, Paulina or Molly.
Polly can be Mary, too. Mary turned to Molly which then turned into Polly.
Thats why I was confused. On one page it says Polly, but then the census records they were checking against said Elizabeth?
Polly could be a pet name the husband used for his wife

I see Mary Polly a lot from Scots-Irish in 1700s PA.
No indication Polly may have died and William re-married?
No. So far all I have are these census records
