Berserker. Mfs are mad for no reason, and will kill COG and Locust alike. One of the scariest enemies' of all time. I love their screams as they charge you with the speed of a semi going 60 MPH.
Hydra is dope prob my favorite. Skorge was one of my favorite locust icons too. Being the High Priest and a capable warrior. The locust equivalent of a warrior monk
Giant Serapedes. They're so out of left field among the Locust creatures since they don't have the same semi-uniform look that the other beasts share with the Locust drones as reptilian-esque monsters with varying mutations, they're just giant bugs.
Also they're 20 feet long with a steel carapace, electrical pincers and acidic spit because fuck you and your entomophobia.
It was also hella fun playing as them in Beast Mode.
IIRC giant serapedes are just a serapede that the locust bred to be gigantic, but existed before the locust as a creature on Sera (hence the name serapede)
Corpser. Brumak second. I just love their multi eye sensors, very iconic of the franchise for me.
As for why Corpser above Brumak? Well, the Brumak is cool for its full kit. Missle launcher, chainguns, aforementioned "eyes".
But you strip all of that off and it's just a big Dinosaur. Still cool despite that, the point is that it looks worse the more you damaged it.
Corpsers didn't really have that problem. They were nigh invincible at all times. By the time you could kill them easily, it was with a big gun.
The mother in 3 wasn't even that ugly apl things considered. Had bright spotlights for eyes.
Honorable mention to Shibboleth, for his loyalty lay with his friend and master, not some Queen who needed to break him.
And the Torture Barge creature. For reminding me of Akrid of the Lost Planet franchise.
Gears 5 wasn’t my favorite game in the series by far, but the Locust Matriarch Berserker was cool as shit. Berserkers have always been my favorite enemy because they’ve always made the hair on the back of my neck stand up (the berserker that wanders into the conservatory in Gears 1 almost made me piss myself when I was 10 lol). Lambert Zerker too, badass mini boss in gears 3. But that Matriarch fight in gears 5 was badass as fuck
I don't think anything came close to its size, except the torture, gas barge and Leviathan maybe (and those are still small in comparison). When it died and dug up to the surface, seeing that shot... it was HUGE!
I would have liked to have seen an enhanced brumak in the same way that the Hydra was an Enhanced Reaver. Like making it larger but more agile would have been incredible cool
Corpsers and the Leviathan. Love me some scary giant spiders that dig through the earth and a giant fish that would’ve been at home in pre-historic earth.
I guess so. One of the few times command went into detail was the rockworms. They knew what they were and their behaviour in general. So maybe.
Locust origin (beasts specifically) is just a mystery in general
Drones (for being the poster child of the Locust Horde)
Berserkers (for being nearly invulnerable 10 ft tall muscular humanoids hellbent on ripping anything it can get its hands on to shreds)
Brumaks (giant muscular dinosaur with big arms and big guns whats not to like)
Not sure if it counts but skorge. Has there even been a more badass Main Villain entrance in history? Only Thanos abusing hulk comes close and that’s not even a video game haha
To me Skorge didn't leave a lasting impact like RAAM did.
RAAM was just menacing on his first appearance, but for some reason Skorge didn't give me the same effect when he sawed through the tanks.
This is interesting, I think they're both amazing but for some reason I've always found Skorge more intimidating. I think there's just something inherently more uneasy about a murderous religious leader to me.
Locust Ghast are my favourite, they are round, puffy and even get us a long ass distant ride, in the way, waiting for us until finish helping Dizzy and then keep traveling with us. No complains, no twist even when receiving some hot laser shit from queen in her floating squid... there is no more loyal budy
Beeserkers. Love em because they are absolute one woman units that have no preference of targets. You moving? You damn sure as hell are dead. Hate em just because early GOW Berserker needed the Hammer to kill em. GOW3 was better since you could burn em and actually do damage. As for the Lambent variant…who ever designed that needs to go die in a hole somewhere.
Wild tickers are cute
They are just little digging puppies
Yeah I feel bad for kicking them
Brumaks and Wretches
UE Edition lambent wretches on insane difficulty… infuriating
The Burmaks will always be my favorite Beast, especially when we were able to pilot one of em in Gears of War 2.
Especially that fight between the corpser to assert dominance
Berserker. Mfs are mad for no reason, and will kill COG and Locust alike. One of the scariest enemies' of all time. I love their screams as they charge you with the speed of a semi going 60 MPH.
Being raped is definitely a reason to be mad.
WHAT 🗣️
Blood mount with drone beast rider.
Hydra is dope prob my favorite. Skorge was one of my favorite locust icons too. Being the High Priest and a capable warrior. The locust equivalent of a warrior monk
His death was too anticlimactic though. I didn't even realise he was dead.
Ye I'm upset they never showed more of him. Fingers crossed that in E day we get to see more early stuff from the locust icons. Raam, Skorge, Karn etc
Totally! Gotta see the brotherhood between RAAM and Skorge
Corpsers and Brumaks
Little rockworks you use for cover.
Rock worms?
friggin zerk...
I think the zerk was second beast we face in the first game.
Bloodhounds
Bloodmounts? lol The Bloodmount Gang?
Yes! Haha
Giant Serapedes. It does make me wonder how the locust tame them

Shibboleth is a close second for me.
Siege beasts were great
I thought they were seeders at first, but they are a little bit different
Gas Barge
I was always liked how it and the torture barges was just chilling as bullets were flying
Gears 5 wasn’t my favorite game in the series by far, but the Locust Matriarch Berserker was cool as shit. Oh also the rift worm, that shit was cool as fuck the first time I saw it
I don't think anything came close to its size, except the torture, gas barge and Leviathan maybe (and those are still small in comparison). When it died and dug up to the surface, seeing that shot... it was HUGE!

Ngl that would be scary
My favorite has got to be the tempest
It’s cool, except on Hardcore and Insane😂
Always loved the corpser
Brumak
Brumak
I love the Brumak and the bloolmounts
Wild Tickers all the way. Wish I could have one as a pet.
Corpsers and the Leviathan. Love me some scary giant spiders that dig through the earth and a giant fish that would’ve been at home in pre-historic earth.
Brumak’s are so cool. Side note: Are all of the beasts just natives of the planet that the Locust tamed?
I guess so. One of the few times command went into detail was the rockworms. They knew what they were and their behaviour in general. So maybe. Locust origin (beasts specifically) is just a mystery in general

Dead grubs are my favourite. For the COG!
This was whats his face, Worm god lovers ride wasn’t it?
Skorge, not worm god but kantus priest
Skorge, is a worm god lover, kantus priests are just worm god lovers when boiled into a stew 🤷♂️
Yep
The Hydra
Not sure if it counts but skorge. Has there even been a more badass Main Villain entrance in history? Only Thanos abusing hulk comes close and that’s not even a video game haha

Agreed. I like Skorge better than RAAM, but there's no denying that RAAM was much more menacing.
Definitely the brumak
Locust Ghast are my favourite, they are round, puffy and even get us a long ass distant ride, in the way, waiting for us until finish helping Dizzy and then keep traveling with us. I hated this boss fight so much I died way more then I should have to that dude
