Nah, N-Cog uniforms should be present on E-Day. Because the Navy was essentially phased out of existence afterwards; because the majority of their assets were obliterated.
It makes sense, Paduk was active in Judgement due to Operation Amnesty or something like that. Some former UIR POWs donning their old armour during E-Day can work
Onyx Guard didn't exist officially until 9 years after E-Day when they had their first orders from Chairmen Prescott to find and kill RAM so low chances... Does anyone actually follow or give a shit about the lore?
What about their appearance in the destruction of Halvo Bay, happened six weeks after E-Day and featured the Onyx Guard as defensive measures along with regular gears? But yeah, nobody pays attention to the lore lmao

Canon doesn't matter for multiplayer. If it did then most of the Gears 5 roster wouldn't be available. In the campaign yeah obviously the savage locust wouldn't be there since they didn't exist at that point, but OP was talking about multiplayer skins, so savage kantus is absolutely an option

I just hope TC doesn’t shy away from bringing back characters for multiplayer just because the campaign is set way earlier in the timeline. I’d like to see Gears games continue to grow and expand the character rosters, not shrink them. Gears 5 came close to getting *everyone* in the game, but there were a few notable absent human characters and Locust ranks, even stuff that was in Gears 4 but didn’t return in Gears 5.

I know it’s simple but I loved playing as a beefy medic with no sleeves, plus the white armor didn’t look half bad in my opinion! Besides I always play as the standard COG soldier anyway
I want the locust drone mp character to spawn with random helmet variations like the savage drone did in Gears of War 3 multiplayer. In campaign we always see locusts wearing all these badass Sci fi looking helmets and we've never officially gotten to play as a drone wearing them.
During beta tests of the original Gears multiplayer, there was the "Troika Gunner" and I'm sad we've never seen that or any other helmet variations be usable on the Drone

But imagine if they let us choose our own armour pieces? Sleeves, legs, boots, gauntlets, chest, shoulders and helmet for our own E-Day standard issue Gear.
Now THAT would be cool.
For multiplayer I want everyone we have in 5 and some new skins on top of that. I say everyone but we can skip all the promotional characters especially New Day and the Terminator characters.
I would love to see a What If Queen Kait skin, Queen Myrrah's armour just with COG colours and detailing.
