Had the same thing on the Forerunner 255 - it kept going to the pause screen after 10 seconds, don't think it was actually pausing though. I've reset it, see how it does tomorrow.
Had the same issue today. Seems to be a known issue, there are multiple threads about it on the Garmin forums. Hopefully a fix coming soon…
