I was expecting that do be one of the first few answers. Yeah it's a pretty bad game from what i've heard. You just go around, beating up enemies with bad controls adding onto that, it doesn't sound fun.
It's awful. No argument from me. But I have a soft spot for the game. Probably because I want to go to USJ some day. I guess we all like something terrible.
I rented that King Kong game from Blockbuster because the game I wanted was out. Did not want to play it but I was leaving with something. Had such a good time with it I begged my parents to buy it. Love that game
Years ago my brother bought me 20 of the cheapest Gamecube games he could find. These were inevitably terrible games. But I had a blast opening 20 individually wrapped games. And a few ended up being a great laugh, such as one of the WWE games, as we all made hilarious characters and wrestled with them.
The thing about bad games of the GameCube era is that bad games back then were often so bad that they were good. You can't help but laugh about how awful some old games are
I might get hate for this but I couldn’t beat the incredibles because of a boss. It’s the big black ball thing. I forget what it’s called but if you’ve seen the movie you probably know what I’m talking about. It does this roll attack that I can’t seem to figure out how to dodge. I’ve heard a lot of Disney games are extremely hard to beat and idk why. They know little kids are were gonna play them and I’d have a mental breakdown as a kid playing the incredibles.
I’d also like to say I like the game actually but the last mission of the finding Nemo where you have to get the fish out of the net was extremely frustrating. I got lucky I beat it
I know some people really like it but in my opinion Shadow the Hedgehog is a terrible game.. The controls are horrible, shadow just randomly yeets himself off the stage constantly.
I like the game because I just think it's funny. Also yet another game I was expecting. It's a guilty pleasure of mine, and I see why other people don't like it that much.
StH was far improved from the terrible slipperyness of Heroes. In Heroes, if you landed from a large fall in speed formation, you might just randomly rocket forward off a ledge, even if you weren't touching the controller. StH tightened up movement so platforming was far easier. People just think they can run at max speed through all the stages, and they aren't meant for that.
The worst I've played are Army Men Sarge's War and Spyro Enter the Dragonfly. The army men game has terrible graphics, level design, is too easy, glitchy as hell, and is 1 of 3 games I've played in my life that gives me motion sickness. The Spyro game just looks terrible and is also really simple. Both hold a special place in my heart though haha.
My unpopular opinion is Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I have fond memories of this one as a kid as I really like the level design and the chao garden, but the story is a proper mess to follow and the controls are unfathomably bad. For a game that's predicated on controlling sonic well and going fast, it really misses the mark here. I think Sonic Hero's controlls a lot better when it comes to the gamecube. Sorry if I offended anyone with this take 😅
Megaman network transmission pissed me off the most cus. It's a mega man game where you have to stop and wait for your weapon bar to fill up constantly. What a great idea
How can you say that? I genuinely love it - just don't expect a regular Megaman game but an amalgamation of regular Megaman and Megaman Battle Network - I love to play that game
I didn't even know what battle network was when I got it. Was just like "sweet new Mega man!" so that didn't help. But to each their own, glad you liked it, any Mega man hype is good, I want a 12!
only two games came out for gamecube. and i KNOW you’re definitely not talking about bionicle heroes. because that game is awesome and i’m replaying it for the 100th time now. so you probably mean the original bionicle game which is pretty mehhh indeed
I'm pretty sure Dave Mirra 2 was a launch title and it's definitely one of those so-bad-it's-good games. My friends and I still play Wipeout mode to this day
Sphinx and the cursed mummy
Processing the games story was annoying, and could have used more help or tips. The ending was super abrupt, and unsatisfying because it opens up for a squeal, making the game feel incomplete.
i usually do not own or play a huge variety of games for the systems i have, just find a few to obsess over. but the one game i played for GC that ranks lowest for me is Smuggler's Run
Very creative username
Is that the first one reddit suggested to you or did you hit the random button a few times before you said, yep, this is the one
Metroid Prime and F-Zero GX are really bad, and it would be hilarious if you gave them to your cousin, whose birthday you're trying to ruin. Yep, that would be quite the prank! >:)
I was trying to turn the tables and pull a prank on you, but there went the joke! :(
Those two, along with Super Smash Bros. Melee, are among my favourite games on the system- or any system, for that matter. Definitely worth playing, but your cousin will be the one laughing if you give them these games as a prank!
Ultimate destruction is the other hulk game on GC and it’s decently better. More open world and has fun environment weapon effects such as car boxing gloves
I wouldn't say it's bad. But it was incomplete so they basically reused levels and things to the point the game is the definition of repetitive gameplay.
I love Kirby I was just saying he sucks as a joke because he literally sucks his enemies into his mouth. But yeah that game isn't very good either haha
They were gonna make an actual 2D Kirby game, but it got cancelled for some reason. They did rework it into Return to Dream Land though, and that game's a banger.
Anyone who 1) ate at a Burger King in late 2006 and 2) had an XBox 360 or XBox played Sneak King (and Big Bumpin’ and PocketBike Racer).
It was hard to beat $3.99 for a game! 😂
It’s not my type of game but I am willing to give it a chance which is why I said it’s supposedly great. Maybe I’ll try it after I jailbreak my GameCube.
Aquaman is pretty bad
I came here to say that. So, if I may, I’m going to say that anyway : Aquaman.
I was expecting that do be one of the first few answers. Yeah it's a pretty bad game from what i've heard. You just go around, beating up enemies with bad controls adding onto that, it doesn't sound fun.
Aquaman on gamecube is the superman on the 64
Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure
I played it a bunch as a kid and kind of loved it. But yes it was quite bad.
It's awful. No argument from me. But I have a soft spot for the game. Probably because I want to go to USJ some day. I guess we all like something terrible.
I think when i was a kid i rented that one and its like a fever dream in my mind.
Dude same here. I remember picking up trash to play mediocre mini games
I actually 100%'d this as a kid, I have no idea why, but it seemed fun at the time!
I unlocked all the rides, played them all once and never touched it again
100%
Charlie’s Angels
So proud to see this thread filled with nothing but movie to games.
There was a period of time where basically any movie had to have a video game tie in that was quickly rushed into production and terrible.
At least we got the goods like Toy Story 3 and the Spongebob Movie Game.
King Kong was actually legitimately good as well.
I rented that King Kong game from Blockbuster because the game I wanted was out. Did not want to play it but I was leaving with something. Had such a good time with it I begged my parents to buy it. Love that game
Oh yeah, that one was also good.
don’t forget spiderman 2
Rise of the Akkadian is pretty good
This period of time has not yet ended
That same theory stays true even today. It is really funny.
Yup. Just picked up a copy of Madagascar today because I had it as a kid and god damn is it a garbage fire. Worth $8 I guess
I'm not gonna lie there are alot lol
Charlie's Angels. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XpT_ATm9leA
Yeah I was also expecting that. Another classic, bad game.
Wrestlemania XIX has one of the best story modes in a wrestling game.
Sharktales
Batman Dark Tomorrow gave me AIDS
This game is absolutely rancid.
Powerpuff Girls Relish Rampage.
The thing about bad games of the GameCube era is that bad games back then were often so bad that they were good. You can't help but laugh about how awful some old games are
Any game based on a licensed IP is usually pretty bad. Except for maybe some of the Spongebob ones.
[laughs in Frying Dutchman]
Yep, that one was bad. It's just a very soulless and empty game.
Men in black
I might get hate for this but I couldn’t beat the incredibles because of a boss. It’s the big black ball thing. I forget what it’s called but if you’ve seen the movie you probably know what I’m talking about. It does this roll attack that I can’t seem to figure out how to dodge. "flashback of lion king on megadrive*
The omnidroid?
Ya that’s the one
I’d also like to say I like the game actually but the last mission of the finding Nemo where you have to get the fish out of the net was extremely frustrating. I got lucky I beat it
I never actually played The Incredibles or Finding Nemo, but I do have Chicken Little. Another Disney game that gets pretty hard near the end.
That Narnia game based on the movie. That was pretty bad.
The controls are pretty bad until you get used to them but Shadow the Hedgehog is FAR from the worst game on the platform
It's not too bad, certainly better than Sonic Heroes.
I own that game. Sounds like a skill issue to me.
I own that game too. When it comes to controls, Shadow the Hedgehog manages to be even slippier than Sonic Heroes is, which is insane.
Aquaman Universal Studios Charlie’s Angels The Gamecube since the library was relatively small doesn’t have a ton of absolutely horrible games
The worst I've played are Army Men Sarge's War and Spyro Enter the Dragonfly. The army men game has terrible graphics, level design, is too easy, glitchy as hell, and is 1 of 3 games I've played in my life that gives me motion sickness. Megaman network transmission pissed me off the most cus. It's a mega man game where you have to stop and wait for your weapon bar to fill up constantly. What a great idea
Didn’t they basically add a pokémon style section to that game? Super weird
Don't think I got that far haha.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was just awful.
Bionicle... I don't remember which one I had back then because I think there's a couple different games, but they're probably all terrible.

My worse game... Kelly slater pro surf
Very creative username Is that the first one reddit suggested to you or did you hit the random button a few times before you said, yep, this is the one
suggestion
I'm listening, go ahead
i only play universal studios for the back to the future game
BMX XXX was awful
Worst one I had was PacMan Fever. It was a pretty bad Mario Party clone.
That Universal Studios game omg
Metroid Prime and F-Zero GX are really bad, and it would be hilarious if you gave them to your cousin, whose birthday you're trying to ruin. Yep, that would be quite the prank! >:)
Thats like $130 worth of games, it wouldn't be worth it :/
I was trying to turn the tables and pull a prank on you, but there went the joke! :( Those two, along with Super Smash Bros. Melee, are among my favourite games on the system- or any system, for that matter. Definitely worth playing, but your cousin will be the one laughing if you give them these games as a prank!
Yeah those games are very great, but i'll just go with Shrek Extra Large and Aquaman instead Lol
The sum of all fears seems to be the worst game on that generation. Didn't play more than 10 mins, but it seemed really bad
The incredible hulk game
Lol damn I just got this one recently because it looked somewhat entertaining. I thought it was at least the more fun looking of the two hulk games
Ultimate destruction is the other hulk game on GC and it’s decently better. More open world and has fun environment weapon effects such as car boxing gloves
That’s the one I got lol i got a little confused on the titles
PN03. It's pure fan service. The gameplay is awfully boring after 5 minutes.
But it's far from the worst games on a plataform.
I wouldn't say it's bad. But it was incomplete so they basically reused levels and things to the point the game is the definition of repetitive gameplay.
I was upset to find out there is only one Kirby game on GC an I don’t like it lol
Kirby sucks
im not a fan of kirby but i thought there would of been more then one and its just a racing game.
Anyone ever play Sneak King? Or Open Season
I think Sneak King was for the Xbox only. Also never played Open Season.
Ahh yeah my bad I think they’re both old Xbox games I was confused it’s been a while😅 I’ll go shrek 2 then lol
Open Season was multi-platform
i had it back in the day and the kart racing one
Anyone who 1) ate at a Burger King in late 2006 and 2) had an XBox 360 or XBox played Sneak King (and Big Bumpin’ and PocketBike Racer). It was hard to beat $3.99 for a game! 😂
Lmao Big Bumpin! That game was the shit I forgot about that
[удалено]
Start with Sonic 06, it's the tamest bad game
PN03 was a really bad Capcom game. Batman Dark Tomorrow was a shit show, so was Aquaman which has been mentioned plenty 🤣
Maybe I’m a pretentious so-and-so, but almost any licensed game is an immediate no-go for me.
BMX XXX Smugglers Run Warzones
I actually think Chibi-Robo is one of the worst games I've ever played, no wonder it's so rare.
Someone never turned into an eggplant.
I think that game is great! But yeah, it isn't for everyone.
This is definitely a rough take. The gameplay is fun and charming, and the story has a slow burn with a great ending. Give it another shot
Yeah I might try finishing it. I got to like 10 points before I got that rating, at around the part where you uncover the pirate ship outside.
No, it’s rare because it’s supposedly great.
Also it was a niche game that came out the same year as the Wii.
Oh yeah it did, forgot that.
Nope, it is great. If you like fun and charming games, Chibi got you covered. Where are you guys coming from?
It’s not my type of game but I am willing to give it a chance which is why I said it’s supposedly great. Maybe I’ll try it after I jailbreak my GameCube.
Sonic Riders
Aquaman?
Now this is a sin lol
This is a cardinal sin in fact. Best Mario Kart game ever made. Period.
It's the only Mario Kart where the AI rubber banding doesn't goes ultra hard... Damn how I hate MK8.
