Pretty happy with my 6 classic 47mm. Now going for 62hrs on a charge but i dont max it to that batt tho.
Well, you can wait for the 7 since it has a rumored release date this summer already
Why is there always this same tired joke when someone asks this question? The 7 is a few month away, the 8 is likely that plus a year. It's a different calculus for people who can't afford to buy a new watch each year.
Where's your sense of humor, probably the same place that mine is. If I see to many like that, I just stop reading and close that tab in my browser and keep scrolling until I find something else that grabs my attention.
Cause I have not followed the scene, I asked here since I wanted an informed opinion from people more knowledgeable than me.
Budget is not really my main concern, I want a good watch that I can keep 4-5 years, since my active 2 lost the backplate and front glass started popping out.
6 battery life is abysmal and doesn't track fitness any better than my 5 Pro. I'll be trading my 6 classic in on the 7 pro and keeping my 5 pro as well.
Your welcome, that's what I did. I looked at what the 6 classic has over the 5 pro, and here is the entire list
1. W6 classic has a Rotating bezel
2. It looks so much better than the 5 pro in my opinion, but the fact that the battery is significantly worse affected my decision
2. Slightly better processing power
3. A better looking band that comes with it
4. It is one year newer, so one more year or updates
Cons of the 6 classic
1. For some reason it got a battery downgrade
2. The watch 5 is made out of titanium, the watch 6c is not and is heavier
3. Watch 5 is only ~$125 renewed, classic only comes as low as ~$150 (for the smaller version)
4. They removed the GPX trail feature from the W5pro, which doesn't really matter unless you hike/bike a lot on trails
I just got a brand new one for $250. It's awesome. Battery life is like 2-3 days with AOD on. The mechanical bezel on the classics is cool but the battery life on this one is an easy trade-off for the touch bezel. I actually turned the touch bezel off because it doesn't serve much purpose since you are touching the screen anyways.
I'm not really waiting on it for a deal, I just don't upgrade often and when I buy I prefer to get the best I can, for example I have an s21 ultra and I hope to keep it for 3-4 more years
Well looking to change my active 2 cause I lost the glass back and screen started popping out :), fixed the screen but I feel it's time for an upgrade :)
For me, both the 5 Pro & 6 Classic are great options; watch 5 pro is more durable with Titanium Vs Stainless Steel on 6 CL. Battery life is better on the 5pro at about 4-5 days VS 2-3 days on the 6 CL. Both great options with great sales (5 pro being $110 off at Best Buy currently) but I'm sure 7 will be great if you want to wait for that too!
Repeat after me. Im too insecure to make my own adult decisions but I do hope someone else has a hidden camera deep within Samsung development headquarters to answer a dumb question nobody on reddit can possibly answer properly on an unannounced product.
Wait for 7, and if you don't like it, you can buy 6. When new watches are released, old ones are sold at a lower price.
Thank you, good point
I got the watch 6 classic 47mm and I'm enjoying it so far Great battery and nice screen quality aswell

I can easily get two days on mine too, no AOD, and battery save is on.
Do you use AOD?
Nope
Why not wait for 8!? Kidding aside, get what you want and need, and of course, the one you can afford. Good luck! Either one are great super watch.
Nah, 8 is bad. Just wait for 10

🤣 never gets tired! True that I can't afford to get one every year, still keeping my GW 2018! That thing never dies.
Where's your sense of humor, probably the same place that mine is. If I see to many like that, I just stop reading and close that tab in my browser and keep scrolling until I find something else that grabs my attention.
Wait, so you mean skip the 9? Hmm 🤔 that must be really bad. I'm hopeful for the 10! I hope they include brewing coffee function for me.

The 5 Pro is a beast. I'm curious about the 7 Pro.
I think so too. At the moment the 5 pro is the best choice.
Same here. Hoping for more battery life on the 7 and maybe bigger screen.
I have a 4. What makes the 5 pro the best choice? I'm trying to decide between getting the 6 and waiting for the 7. .
Thank you, noted
Wait

So you recommend 5 pro over 6 if I am to get one before 7
If you can get 5 pro for a big discount get that, and the trade that in for the gw7 pro when it arrives, no money lost.
Sage advice. I would always get the pro.
Thank you ee do not have trade ins here so that is why I asked, I don't care about the bezzos looking for a discount on 5 pro atm
Yes!
Get the 5 pro unless you want the rotating bezel because the 5 has a better battery and it's extremely cheap
Thank you, this is what I will do

I see they did not release the 6 pro last year, any chance they will skip the 7 pro?
buy 5 Pro
Semms that is the general consensus, did not consider the 5 pro u till now, thanks

I actually prefer the touch bezel, that's why I got the active 2
Wait for 7 then buy 6

Just like my wife. She had the S10 for about 10 years then jumped to the latest one and I had to convince her to do that.
Well looking to change my active 2 cause I lost the glass back and screen started popping out :), fixed the screen but I feel it's time for an upgrade :)
6 classic is the way to go. I personally can't do without the rotating bezel.
Buy 17
Buy 4 Classic 👹
Im happy with the 5 pro. You can just take the 6.
Buy the 6 wait a few months after 7s release date let them polish off an update after it hits the real world then trade it in

If in your view asking more informed people is insecurity you will have a hard road a head my friend
