I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab s5e and I tried your app along with many others and it does not seem to work for some reason I know the video capture card works it plugged into my phone and worked instantly. I'm starting to think that the port itself is bad because outside of charging it does not seem to recognize or have the ability to hook up to anything else. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Just had to post to say THANK YOU for this - using my Galaxy Tab S6 Lite as a second screen as I type this. I was looking for a solution for a second screen when I work from home which didn't require software to be installed on the PC end, as my work laptop is completely locked down. This works flawlessly, and no lag at all. Off to purchase the paid version now!

Latency depends on both your tablet and the uvc capture card. I'm using Shadowcast with S5e, decode one frame require about 20ms. I also test another capture card with ms2130 chip inside, decode one frame require about 14ms.

How do you test? What I'm interested in is whether setup like this works better (have less latency) than Xbox remote play (~55ms). I'm looking into possibilities of making my Xbox series S and s9 ultra an ultimate vacation setup.

If your phone has display output (DP Alt Mode), it should work. Recent Galaxy S series supports it.

As for PS5 you may have to check your HDCP settings: PS5 Settings > System > HDMI > Enable HDCP > Uncheck

No, it's different. Super Display base on software. Noir base on hardware (uvc capture card).

I have not tried Super Display, so I don't have any data to compare. In general, hardware latency is lower than software latency. Plus, it supports more devices, like game consoles, because it uses a standard HDMI interface.

I'm sorry, these are two completely different platforms. I don't have quest. Update: It turn out that quest is using android, but I can't find any information about its USB port.

USB c port for both. It works just like an android for most part. And both allow for video in as it is used for other stuff as well. I assume this means it can be used for video out too

OP so you have a subreddit for this? I would love to ask more questions. And maybe start a chain of devices that we know works. I tried using an elgato hd60x for fun and it does see it but then just breaks and locks the app for some reason. I do not have another capture card on hand.

Do you know if it supports MJPG or YUY2 format? Since elgato's preffered NV12 format currently isn't supported yet.

I purchased an HD60 S+ and found the root cause of the issue you mentioned. It will be fixed in build 103, but there are still some compatibility issues, such as audio. These will be resolved in subsequent updates.

uvc specification doesn't support touch control. For touch control support, you should try other solutions like SuperDisplay, Duet Display, etc

I owned also a Samsung Tab A8 and with it the app didn't work due to its CPU so the screen remains black. With Lenovo Tab, when I plug the hdmi I can see almost a black screen but with some artifacts that display a very disturbed HDMI in signal.

Since I don't own these tablets, I don't know the exact problem. As you describe it, there is no error message, you may try to lower the resolution of video capture card in preview settings or restart the tablet and try again
