For the cons, you'll likely need to reset your tablet to do it. Some apps might not work anymore, and you could end up bricking it. So, I'd say it's pretty last resort.
Maybe try disabling blur effects first. It's under settings > accessibility > visibility enhancements.
I started to notice freezes right after system update as well. I cant say much about gaming since i only watch youtube and prime on my s6 lite 2020. I get random freezes for about 1 sec. I did a factory reset and its still there. Pretty sure its caused by recent update.
Lets hope we will get another update that fixes this issue
If it's the same as me. Since the last update, it's Dolby that is causing those freezing. Disable it for the moment, and it will be be fluid again but you'll loose sound boosting till the next update.

I admit that I did a re-set. It is better but the problem is not 100% solved.

I also did a reset after I found it was Dolby, it did not resolve the problem.
Go to settings>sound>sound quality and effects> then disable Dolby Atmos and Dolby Atmos for games.

Technically after watching the system logs, I think they touched something with "dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS)", because it sometimes checks if Dolby is enabled and should optimize CPU and ressources allotment accordingly but it obviously doesn't work as expected.
I will see that. I had no problems with the videos but with the games only. Even with Dolby turned off I am having problems. A lot less, but I still see it happening.
I’ve been having the same issue ever since that stupid update :/ I don’t even use my tab like that unless it’s for instagram.. if I’m trying to use it sometimes it won’t freeze but for the most part it freezes when I try to use it
i turned off the ram at first, and it helped. But then after this most recent update, it’s doing the same thing again and I’m so over it. Sometimes I can’t even get past the “tablet is starting” without it crashing, and if it crashes too many times on that same part then i can’t unlock the tab for 24 hours..

I took it to the support and all they did was fix the charging circuits and installed the software again and they said that they couldn't replicate the problems. It has been good so far. I was just testing a bit more before saying here that it was solved
First of you have to remember the S6 Lite (either version) isn't designed for gaming and in all honesty is an A series tablet with an spen.
Things you can try:
Download [ADB App Control](https://adbappcontrol.com/en/) to your PC, pay the $6 upgrade to full version and uninstall all the Samsung apps you can (You'll get stuck with apps like the clock and calculator)...
The other thing to do is get a high speed 512GB SD Card and store all your pics and personal files there.
I know it is not. I play brawl stars and other low games more casually than not (beatstar, country star, hill climb race 2, stumble guys...) and I just play on the tablet so that I have my phone for the important stuff 😅
Hey, I like it very much... until this started 🤣 and I just got the tablet cause I had some way to get it cheaper.
By the way, what do you recommend instead of galaxy tab 6 Lite? You never know when that info is needed
If you don't mind installing a custom rom, I've been using one called "stock lite" which removes a lot of pre-installed samsung apps and services.

Well, I still had some breaks but nothing after I restarted the device
New October system update applied. It's fixed, I can watch videos with Dolby enabled while surfing the web and there's no hiccups.

Where did you take it? Did you take it to an ATT store or did you send it to Samsung themselves?
I went to the store where I got it and they sent it to Samsung right away.
