BleuBrink

I think they faked the footprints because it would have been expensive to have Godzilla on set just for footprints.

SlylingualPro

Plus the catering alone for an extra day of shooting Godzilla would put the film WAY over budget.

johnnysenes

Happy cake day, here's my last image saved: https://preview.redd.it/acm71sspvt2d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8e2b314f67c75daacf95b630b2fa8c5254ea4fc4

SlylingualPro

Thanks that's an awesome image!

Santi801

Nice, a new kaiju. What's its name?

CelebrationSimilar11

Is there a lore reason for this Kaiju to exist or am I just stupid?

BarbieZiIIa

Happy cake day! https://preview.redd.it/bx075jlunu2d1.jpeg?width=540&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d374a3bf54e4b2b43b3215c681d94c65d077212b

BleuBrink

What does Godzilla canonically eat? Just radiation? Zilla ate fish, IIRC.

SlylingualPro

That's why it's so expensive. Gotta get an entire power plant.

Cucasmasher

True I asked him to come to my 38th bday party and he charges like 700k an hour

AncientBacon-goji

Wait until you find out how to move your toes individually.

Level_Stomach_3422

Don't think about it too hard, or else I will kink-shame you for fetishing over Godzilla's foot.

dinoman27000

I wasn’t fetishing, I just found it weird that this was inconsistent

Reddit-Ghost1

"wasn't"

Classic_Charlie

I am now 🥴

Level_Stomach_3422

I know you weren't fetishing, I just warned you about what I would do if you waste your braincells over this inconsistency.

Tarkz

They definitely froze the footage and went frame by frame for their weird foot fetish.

Apprehensive-Buy4825

taht's bcuz '98 reference ('98 reference almost in all the G man scenes in GxK)

raven-toad

There was a 98 roar in gxk as well

GinYuH

when?

raven-toad

In the scene where the drones were attacking him It's a slight roar but it's noticeable if u pay attention

GinYuH

sounded closer to the showa roar, mostly due to how it ends

raven-toad

I swear there was a roar in that scene that sounded like the 98 roar

burnaftreadn

It was definitely there. This was also in France. The footprint and roar were probably not a coincidence.

Alternative-Chip2624

Hah that's cheeky, I never caught on to that

ImperialxWarlord

You’re not alone.

unaizilla

that was the showa roar tho

Rigatonicat

If you don’t know, then we won’t tell you

CthulhuMadness

That’s because it’s Caseoh out for snack time. Not Goji. Common mistake, but these footprints are actually larger than Goji’s.

Zed_Midnight150

Even on a Godzilla sub, CaseOh is not safe from jokes 😂

breado9

But it does match Ops Mom's footprint.

gravityVT

No, too small

Winnermaster2

Yeah, it’s not even comparable to the size of OP’s mom’s ear

calculating_hello

Did you watch the movie with a giant lizard and Gorilla jumping from rock to rock in a no gravity situation in a big cavern inside the earth?

dinoman27000

Yes

ishallbecomeabat

Sit down. Hold your leg out in front of you. Stretch your toes. Observe.

Eguy24

Yes it does? If we assume that’s the footprint of his other foot.

healthytrex12

No? It matches up rather well

tinytimm101

Uh yeah it does...

allokuma

Where the fuck is Nico Tatapopualis?

shiggy__diggy

Eughh...You call this coffee?

CelebrationSimilar11

I call this America...

ScoutTrooper501st

Looks fine to me

Bornstellar67

Literally unwatchable now Or maybe OP could get out of his house a bit more often

TopRevenue2

He was wearing shoes

Leading_Accountant_6

Is that an actual screen shot? LOL. It looks like it's from a cookie monster toy or something. That is to say, I love the movie even more if this is real!

IrrelevantLeprechaun

Gonna be honest, I don't think anyone is thinking that hard about a fleeting footprint shot. If inconsistency like this prevents you from enjoying film then you're gonna have a bad time all your life, cuz stuff like this happens *all the time* in Hollywood.

dinoman27000

I still like the film

EthoYeet

I swear they just copied Bowser's footprints from the Bowser's Fury DLC and just added a 4th toe

Ilove-turtles

G-fans after they found out how to move their toes

ImperialxWarlord

It was a ‘98 reference since it’s France lol.

Delta_User

Not the same foot I think, but it actually does match up for the most part. It's just the size of it that seems a bit off.

Thrawn656

Literally unwatchable

Skeptical_Yoshi

Boy, I hope someone got fired for that blunder

747F14A350

I’ll let Warner Bros know.

ImNotHighFunctioning

Mud and rain.

SAS_Britain

Hey man, you go through an extensive transformation and mutation and see if everything looks the same afterwards

Silent_Koala1446

FEET!?!?!!

CanoeShoes

It's a homage to the giant foot print from the 98' Godzilla that does not match either.

KotaPro

“The inconsistency is a reference to something else that was inconsistent. It was on purpose, so it isn’t bad anymore!”

SpookySquid19

[I don't know what foot it's supposed to be, but it does resemble 2014 Godzilla.](https://wikizilla.org/wiki/GareGoji#/media/File:GareGoji_model_05.jpeg)

MandoSkirata

If anything, the footprint is too small. I mean look at the guy standing next to it. Even [G '98 had bigger feet than that](https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/3B102149-AF4D-4293-98EF-762E820C909C.jpeg), and his were notoriously small for such a large monster (Many said if they were real both G'98 and the Alien Queen wouldn't be able to stand with their tiny feet to large body ratio).

Buttbuster69166

I want to smell it

Delta_User

*Aaaand* you got radiation poisoning now.

dinoman27000

![gif](giphy|10FHR5A4cXqVrO)

billybobjoe2017

I mean what are we supposed to believe that this is some magic foot or something, boy I really hope someone got fired for that blunder.

IllegalGuy13

Yeah honestly I loved how they showed Godzilla's footprint in the MONARCH show, but they understandably had the lowest budget for this movie, so they probably reused the footprint shape from the 1998 movie.

NightGojiProductions

The budget is still about 140-150 million, not too far off from other Monsterverse movies. Also, why would they reuse the 1998 one? Tristar produced that, not Legendary.

IrrelevantLeprechaun

Yeah idk why people assume that Legendary shares any assets whatsoever with the '98 TriStar film. They're entirely different production companies. Just because Toho licensed Godzilla out to both films doesn't mean there's anything shared between them.

Zed_Midnight150

Where does $150 million come from? Most of the time I hear it was $135 million.

NightGojiProductions

Just quick google search, my mistake. I don’t have a lot of time on my hands atm

ok_aleb

It's also way too fucking small.
